What can an archer tank?

Im a lvl 92 archer, and im wondering what i can tank.
I know i can tank till fb 59, but am i able to tank tt60 for example?

    I have an archer but not up to that level yet. I'm going off of my experiences as an assasin(wearing light armor).


    It would depend on your gear and if you plan to tank at range or at melee(w fists).

    many bosses ive noticed have a stronger magical range attack than their melee attack.

    also depends on if you are sage or demon.

    It depends on the gear and the boss. Some bosses you will find are surprisingly easy to tank and some will not. A good rule of thumb for TT bosses is that if a herc can tank it an archer can as well.

    well i tanked fb89 with bb and li'l bit of psy heals......its cz barb cudnt control aggro...and m not vit archer or fist...m pure dex but less dex gears...tanking fb69 is kinda difficult though..u need 2 clerics for it..one for bb at pole and other ih + purify (pole do not can cancel bb).... b:pleased....though cant tanked TT...few bosses walk on face..half damage and someone steals aggro.. b:shockedb:surrender

    as an average lv 97 archer i can tank tts up to 2-2, fbs other then 69 and fcc easily, archers arent ment to be a tanking class though, i prefer to just go semi afk on constant normal attacks while the barb and cleric do the hard work tanking and healing

    archers are also the only class without a skill that heals themselves (excluding demon/sage spark)

    By your level I tanked up to fb89 with the exception of nob and pole and up to tt 2-2. Now at my current level ive duoed tt 3-1 before the revamp and can still tank chapter 2 bosses save wurlord ae and ape. havent tried those tbh xD i can tank fb99 bosses if i take aggro and i tank every boss in fcc. Even frangrance :p you can tank a good deal of bosses if you know what to do. for example some better geared archers then me die fast to frangrance because they dont use skills like wings of grace on spikes/debuff and sheild. I usually ask for a good deal of chi to keep aggro and have chi to defend myself when the cleric is stunned as spikes can get up over 4k debuffed. But if you know your class well, you can tank a great deal of bosses...oh and decent gear to go with it xD my gear is cheap since i farmed it all. if you wanna see it just let me know :D 6.1k unbuffed 7.9 with lvl10 / 8.2 with lvl 11 buff and no refines over 4.

    Depends if the boss is mag or phys.
    With a good cleric u can tank alot. Only bosses that come to mind as untankable are ones after 2-2, bh69, and Fragrance

    Edit: it is possible to tank fragrance like lust said, but u need enough hp to survive his spikes and there are sooo many chances for it to go wrong. So, I just dont >.>

    Get out of the archer forums please. You can't believe it simply because you don't try. An archer that puts no effort into his/her class is a fail one and you sure as hell don't even bother. And ffs stop using that damn red bold font.

    Frangrance is tankable at your level. I did it with only hp buff and cleric buffs. It's easy until you get debuff in which you need the hp to take 1-2 hits.     No we weren't originally made to tank, but with the amount of lazy people in PWI, I find it rather pointless to wait around for someone to charge me to do their damn job so I do it myself. That's how I learned most of the bosses I can tank and can't tank.

    xD rofl and bah I hate chapter 3 now XD I was one of few people actually farming gear with a few friends. z.z so much for that. Time is better spent in nirvana wh0ring yourself out and then chipping then running 3-2/3.

    For archers looking to tank...expect to kill some charms XD Just saying with my playstyle and such I kill 4 gold hp charms a week and if I pk up to 6 charms. So be ready to farm a lot of cash for those charms ;-; and barbs QQ about their damn charms.......>_>

    way to list 2 of the easiest bosses in existance +4 bow and +3 armor + magic ring must really help eh? (will pay for a vid of you tankign 2-2 solo cleric make shure to add wur and ape)

    on another note

    play around with your toon if its ranged and has lower DPS at range than up close then you can most likely bow tank it or if it has pathetic damage (astral any fcc boss ever) you can do it

    at 5 aps with decent refines you can tank most of the game @ sage it all depends on refine really but theres a vid of a mass CSing clawcher doign harpy wraith somewhere

    Lol? You don't have to believe me. I love speculations of people who think they know archers. And yes I have a mag ring for the hp/str adds. Nothing wrong with that. Judge more please. btw pm Thelas_Carr. He's the cleric that bb'd on Astral in 2-2 while I tanked. And if you don't believe it still then all I have to say is meh.     you dont need the be an archer to know stuff about archer. If you have watched enough archers, then you would know exactly what to do. You just click on a few things and you are doing well. How an archer tanks? Be a sage clawcher and spam sage spark. Wow you click sage spark, tree of protection and some hp food. So hard. Astral and Ape are physical so an archer with hp buff, bell and vanguard and physical marrow pot if u want, would tank it no problem. It would be more mp efficient to just IH.

    Just...leave the archer forums...you see 1 vid and think you know every darn thing to an archer? In that case I can play a barb and be pro since I've seen so many. No you don't know anything about archers if you think this is all it takes. Go actually PLAY the class 95+ then I'll bother listening to you. Tired of wannabe know it all's coming in archer forums trying to tell us what we can do and how to do. Me on the other hand have every class except barb/psy/sin(61) 70+. Hell my wizzy and cleric are 90+ and I still don't tell people how to play their class. Your ignorance is quite prevalent.

    Excuse me i have enough experience from archer to play endgame archer. Demon Stun arrow and demon quickshot is pew pew enough? and im not telling people how to play their class, because they probably already know how to do it. I've also been playing this game for a long time dude, before i came to America, i played PW china, the biggest one. There is probably a lot of people that aren't archers that know more about them then you. Trust me Lu$t, i know how to play archer. My Archer actually beat you a couple times when you were only 5 levels above me in duels and it won't even matter if i was endgame or not, i'd still be using hte same combo. And i am not ignorant, you are the one that is ignorant. Have you ever heard of Hollywood Fever? Just because your famous on world chat doesn't mean your better then everyone. You just have a giant ego, like most who hyper to 100. People who are 100 just think they know everything. Like LBB for example, he is c0cky as hell but he won't admit he almost lost to a 90 bm.

    Lol? This has NOTHING to do with wc. As far as I'm concerned with, I only use it to point out various points or if I'm bored. I'm no where near "famous" -.- Ask anyone who has squaded with me about me "not knowing about archers". I'd love to see you play one since you're so damn pro. I see oh so many 5aps sage archers.     I answered the op's question of what I was capable of. You come in and start saying things that aren't even realistic archer. So please do continue to teach us archers how to play our class. I probably know more about archer then you. And you say you have never cash shopped, well i bet you have spent more cash then i have. You have pk'ing for a while now and you have 178 kills. My archer pked for a few days and i have 84 kills, and half of those kills were 1 vs 1. The rest was my 2 friends think they can kill me at same time.

    that does not mean you can tank the instance

    yes mag rings on a phys class are dumb on many many levels (coa as the exeption)

    that one archer provides 99% of kill count for this server (the rest is lvl 30's btw)

    Things an archer is MANDATORY AND ASKED to tank on PW-MY server, where barbs are used mainly for buffs, then come on their DD alts most of the times.


    TT 2-3 Belial and Astral
    TT 3-2 and 3-3 everything besides gba boss.


    Only when I started to play here on PWI I realized the dependence people have on Barbs here.

    Best FC run I did didnt even have a Barb or a BM luring. It was a LA Veno doing the pulls, and the FC was 20 minutes shorter than the normal ones. But ofc, at the start we had some difficulty in finding people willing to try FC run like that.
    People are so scared to die in game its ridiculous.

    You really should stop underestimating your characters.
    My main is a sage archer, I always tanked 90% of the stuff I go to with it, tho I do have a barb also.

    Archers rock, and are so much better than you give them credit for.
