Suicidal thread is suicidal! But hey, I totally didn't call this weeks sale... did I?

Now this is not a nitpick at GMs or mods, this is just a nitpick at how damn predictable this company is getting. Also, now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first time that we've had two kinds of packs on sale at the very same time?

This, coupled with the fact you saw fit to extend the Facebook 100k by a week because you didn't meet your goal in the time you set? As well as now say 3x EXP/spirit/drops if you hit 100k?

I'm just incredibly curious at how desperate you have to be in order to have a double pack sale, give yourself an extra week in your Facebook contest because you didn't make the deadline (which may I add also seems highly conceited to me and screams of "sore losers" for not reaching your goal in the time you thought you'd manage it) among just a couple of other things.

Surely I can't be the only one to have noticed this desperation on the company's part and I'm going to cry if I'm the only person finding it downright funny.

1) General "you" was used in this thread. Not targeting GMs or mods, more so just the company in general.

    PWI sales have almost always been somewhat predictable.

    Only the 50% off orb-sale and the first 8 star and first 10 star orb sales were somewhat shocking. Everything else is pretty predictable and rotates regularly between them (cause there's not really much else that they can't sell).

    More frequent:
    Land mount sale
    Fly mount sale
    New fashion sale
    Charm Pack Sale
    Orb sales

    Less Frequent:
    Socket Stone sale
    Miji sales
    Battle Pet Pack sales
    Guardian Angel sales
    Refining aids (other than orbs)
    Platinum charm sale
    Hyper stone sale
    Dye/Pigment sale
    Telecoustic/Portal sale
    Materials sale

    The 'more frequent' ones rotate a few times before one of the less frequent is put on sale.

    Hmm... what have I forgotten?

    I don't deny that the sales have always been somewhat predictable, but this is the first double pack sale I believe we've ever seen (that involves two kinds of pack being sold of once). And while I touched upon the company's ability to be predictable in their sales, this was more so a note that a double pack sale, while not necessarily unpredictable, smacks of desperation on the company's part.

    Hm, actually, weren't there once 3 different packs at sale at some point back then? Genie Pack, Frost Pack... and some else... well, could be possible that I'm mixing up something...

    I thought it was 4 or 5. Pan Gu packs. Frost Pack. Rare Pet Pack. .... and wasn't Anniversary Packs available all at the same time?

    Oh yeah, true . . . so they had mercy with us only releasing 2 packs at the same time now.

    For some reason I keep thinking there was a 5th pack available during the same time as well, but I could be mistaken. That was a while ago.

    Guess my memory just sucks then. -shrugs- Yet in regards to remakes of the anniversary packs specifically (rare pet pack, ha ha. Funny. I see what you did there) I'm still pretty sure this is the first time we've had two anni pack replicas on sale at the same time.

    But hey, I forgot how specific some forum goers had to be. Shame on me I do suppose. =P

    [Funny how this discussion is already now nit-picking about how many 'packs' were on sale at any given time. I suppose I myself should have been more specific. Funnier still is how the company's desperation seems to be being missed by a couple of people. ]

    Oh I did read it. But seeing how stupid the GM's are sometimes (No offense to them) they may be like "OHMYGOD NO! WE WILL LOSE MONEY IF SOMETHING HAPPENS!"

    I think hyper stone is on the "more-often" rotation.
    And you can think of this as GMs giving the players what they want.

    1. People were complaining about lack of 2x drops when they have 2x exp.
    2. People were complaining about the supposed low chance of getting a good item from the anni packs equivalent, so giving us the old pack kinda make up for that. After all, they have identical items in it except for mounts and wings.

    tbh I dont really mind/care why they extended the facebook contest. Gives people more time to make fake Facebook accounts to try to get to the goal before next week b:laugh

    I'd rather them extend the deadline to inflate their own ego's, and not waste all the likes they have, rather then they be a hard **** about deadlines and tell us all the likes were for nothing.

    Besides, this just means one thing- next time pwi does a facebook contest like this, jus hold out the last couple thousand votes till the last day, and they'll offer 3x exp/spirit instead of 2x b:pleased

    Eh, x2 EXP/spirit/drops doesn't bother anybody any more.

    People want it now because they've gotten so used to it. Initially, it caused a lot of complaints because it flooded the market in terms of TT - mats once worth money saw severe dips in prices the more and more x2 everything we had.

    These days, a few noobs who grew up in the era of x2 complain it's not here any more and QQ it's so hard to level without it, everybody else just accepts that it's going to be there and that the damage has already been done. T'is not the reward of the Facebook contest I laugh at, more so than the irony that they had to extend the goal and increase the reward because they're so desperate to reach their 100k goal.

    Yes, it's the first time that two token packs have been out at the same time.

    The 'rare pet pack' was actually called the Surprise Pet Box.... so not sure what I did there lol it's late :P

    Yeah, I remember these. I believe these were the packs everybody fawned over the hamster, no?

    Still, it's a bit reassuring to know I wasn't completely wrong in my guess that this is the first time two token packs have been released at the same time. XD I know my memory sucks but that would have sucked if I'd ended up getting that wrong.

    Point taken. The irony is that this sale came before the re-release of the pack that had these aerogears. I suppose, however, there's no real loss of money for them. People probably paid as much to buy those aerogear from the boutique as they would have paid to buy packs and gamble winning them.

    45 gold is 50 packs, if you can even guarantee that opening 50 packs will yield one of those aerogear, I would definitely be a pack-opener merchant. b:cute

    There is that, but there's also the fact that many people who bought the aerogear during the sale didn't and wouldn't gamble in packs to get it.

    Which is why I said the outcome is, give or take, generally the same. People who did not invest in packs to gamble winning the aerogear went and bought it straight out instead, meaning the company still profits from selling that aerogear even if they then re-release the pack from which you can win it. People who wouldn't gamble for them bought them without needing to worry, and there are still some people who would be willing to gamble for them, particularly if they missed the sale.

    Only thing thats different is the mount and the wings, that no one really cares about anyway.

    Had there been new mounts/wings I could have tried to get something for special someone, now there is just old stuff, not gonna charge zen for that as I can bet she got everything she wants from those, lol. Well maybe getting reset note, I need 1 anyway, even if I`m not using it anytime soon.

    Just a matter of interest,we dont get 2X or 3X drops. its only XP and Spirit. Which is pretty lame. It seems they want us delibratly to leave the game...
