Humans are humans.
Untamed are land.
Elves are air.
Tideborn are water.
Obviously the next race is martians. Or trees. Or finklematter.IAGOREY

This made me think of something
Humans seem close to the metal element/ Metal is a big usage in there daily lifes.
Untamed seem close to the earth element/ They live in earthy areas.
Elves seem close to the wood element/ They live in woody areas.
Tideborn seem close to the water element/ They live in watery areas.
New Class close to the fire element? / Live around Burning Heart maybe? or Buried Bones? I would think it would be around endless sea why? ill show you.

A Pentagram is the aliment of all 5 elements if you at the map if there was another main city in the endless sea all the cities would form a pentagram makeing Arch the main city close to the middle. =3[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
''Upcoming'' are doesn't mean anything, they change of unavailable territory one a time, i don't think they will release new expansion too soon, and if they do, it doesn't mean we get new classes, tideborn made a big rush around their skills or being overpowered (I'm playing one myself) I don't think Developers want it all over againb:thanks0

I could be wrong but, isn't it more like:
Humans - Fire (Wizzes play a lot with fire, and BMs have a lot of fiery/dragon skills, also Human Genesis spell is meant to burn the world, aka fire)
Untamed - Wood (Venos are wood based, and Barbs get a wood enchantment skill, also beasts hide in the woods, not in the earth (its biased I know, but enough to make a point <.<))
Winged Elves - Metal (Both classes do metal damage, and metal = electricity in this game, which comes from storms in the sky)
Tideborn - Water (Well, its fish <.< also their Genesis spell is a giant flood)
Which leaves us with the Element of Earth not occupied by a race, to fulfill the circle.
BTW, the monk and "Wraith Angel" (Finally found out what "Charm Ling" is, and you can do it too when you switch to MY version on PWDB = http://www.pwdatabase.com/my/key/21) are very very old stuff, and nothing new has been announced about them for quite a while. They were lastly reanimated before the Tideborn expansion was officially announced, and people saw the Tideborn islands before warning; but since then, no other news.
There was once a link posted of an interview transcript that "confirmed" necromancy race development (hence the wraith angels), but nothing was "done" in the end...0 -
I don't see why they would release two entirely new races in the time span of one year. Therefore, they probably won't.0

Fully agreeing with you. New races = new trailers, map extensions, new customizations, new mounts, weapons, armor, accessories, new monsters, new places to explore and so on?
How much time passed between the genies expansion and the current one? Quite a bit. So...Maintenance time. Please choose a line:
- When is it over? OMG I need my fix!! *super spazzing*
- Fix the damn bugs, dammit! I'm so angry! I'll quit!!
- New codes out there? I like free stuff~ *wink*
- When will we get new content? QQ
- Will we get sales? I got a ton of gold to spend.
- I'm bored, I'll create a useless thread to annoy Opkorock.

I realize this thread is all just speculation, but that's actually very realistic speculation. Everything in this game has to do with chinese culture, so it wouldn't be surprising at all if, should they make another race, it has something to do with the last element.IAGOREY

I have been thinking of this as well and it does make sense.
Oh btw Aneemah, Metal is the equivalent of Air and Electricity. This explains Thunderball as well as Tempest, arrows, Lightning Strike and such.
I do believe that Humans are bound to Earth, hence leaving Fire to another race.Maintenance time. Please choose a line:

Honestly, with the elemental relevance of the classes,
Human makes sense as Fire or Earth or neutrality
Tideborn makes sense as Water
Untamed makes sense as Wood
Elf only makes sense as Metal(Air)
Setting Human as neutrality or balance leaves the greatest options for future expansion.
Potential Classes for each version of open slots.
Earth:
Monk - second healer class, more melee based, melee LA class
Brawler - Claw/fist based tank class, Melee HA class
Druid - Other second healer class potential, animal related attacks, AA class
Fire:
Summoner - Damage based on multiple minions under control, weak damage without them, low survivability, AA class
Inventor/Gunsmith - second archer-like class slower but more powerful, ranged HA class
Bard - they're introducing it in forsaken world, which may mean it'd be under consideration here, essentially buffing/debuffing/degen, ranged LA class
Neutral/life/death
Priest - second healer class, non-elemental spell damage meaning lower armor-ignorant damage from spells, AA class
Dragoon - spear based class, leaps in and out of battle making his attacks slow and powerful and making him a hard target, HA/LA ranged/melee class
Necromancer - undead summoner, uses corpses to summon multiple minions, weak damage, AA class
Vampire - melee/short range self-healing damage, HA/LA class
Basically there's plenty options for them to expand on the game while maintaining semblance of balance, I've thought the game needs a true summoner-type class since I started, and a second healer class whose heals are more preparatory/reactive. If they expand party size to 10, they'd have to obviously increase difficulty in everything, increasing that difficulty, they'd definately need to apply a second healer-type class to maintain the ability to have squads with no repeating classes.Main:
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Alts:
Lypiphera 101 Cleric
Incompetance 100 Blademaster
MetalPenguin 101 Seeker

The new class- it's totally overpowered, but you've gotta buy the skills and gear with RL cash, and only RL cash.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

"Clerics heal health, they still can't heal stupid."
So true. b:surrender

If squad sizes are being expanded, difficulty would increase and new classes would really be needed. And to everyone saying that new classes aren't being released: this is all speculation. There's no true evidence but if you think logically, there's plenty of potential evidence. Tideborn are a race I wasn't expecting to see when joining this. Seems pretty original as far as I know.
But if a new race comes along, I'd like to see something like a Treant race or Lizardman race or Flora race. I've also heard mention of these 'wraith angels'. I think it'd be pretty bad **** to have a group of wraiths gain will-power and join as a playable race in exchange for being able to finally die or something. I mean.. that'd be a twist on the typical zombie/skeleton undead race. And even if everything isn't fixed, it'd still be highly profitable to release a new race during winter or early spring.0 -

Instead of mana, they use zen.
b:chuckledarthpanda16: Firefox crashed on me. Aryannamage: I don't think I am a GM that would be new.
Hawk:Do this. closing thread
frankieraye: I'll see if we can replace the woman with a stick figure and the tiger fangs with marshmallows.//Issues like these need to get escalated quickly to minimize the damage.
Kantorek: Yeah.. you should try it. It's awesome.
Sihndra: Nope- not currently possible under any circumstances. Sorry.
LokisDottir: I mean...not haunting the forums, nope nope..
Konariraiden: You don't know what you are up against. You will lose.
Waiting for...Hamster Packs!
58% chance to get tokens
41% chance to get an all class pet hamster....but they has already been freed by the magic hamster.
1% chance to get ban hamstered with the message "Hamsters United!"

i see people wanting a summoner but i will go one better.
lets bring in a shape shifting class
has main 3-4 skills of a form that they will shift into and the other skills are skill sets for that form
eg: snake form - skill poison spit0 -

Like a druid in WoW? They have like at least 7 animal shape shift forms.0 -

Another "baseless" rumor on this, but back when Tideborn started, some people on china servers "revealed" some "traces" of a new projectile weapon, a.k.a. "teh Gun", but again, nothing new on that part (also there are some indications of throwing darts and throwing axes, but this is all in the "catalog"). Now back on the Race/Element thing, Humans lean more to fire because Fire is celerity, change, chaos, impulse, intuition, intelligence, wits, temper, temptation, etc... which could describe the "acts of humans" in the game; while earth is more stability, stasis, time, strength, withstanding, slow progression, etc...
Also, I "think" that with the Tideborn expansion, the game missed a big game twist that could have contributed to the story as a whole, and also explain the wraith on their own, but meh... Anyway, what IF the "Flood of Gods" was actually the Tideborn Genesis spell that caused to wash off the Wraiths of the Tideborn islands, and separate them rest of the world, but then, all wraiths got "washed away" from the wold, leaving humans and elves to fight for the last untouched city, Heaven's Tear. Also, the reason why there are no Tideborn in the chrono wheel is that the chrono quests deal with the reappearance of the wraiths (which I'm not gonna go to spoil >.< go finish the Chrono culti), which happened quite a while after the flood itself...
Now then, what to do with the Wraith Angel and Monk, who should have been "wraith like" (apparently)? Well, time will (or not) tell, but we can dream can we =? I "think" again that the real wraiths are an answer to the Earth race Genesis spell; "turn all life into (un)death", which made this world what it is now, a struggle for survival....0 -

Or better yet, an Enchanter/Illusionist of sort.
Utilties would include MIND BUFFS for group mates. such as focus for more acracy, clarity for mana regen (maybe then do away with potions) Or an evasion buff
Abilities could be: Minipulating none animal beings, as a pet charm. (now both male and female could be a pet class)
Self buffs/heals for charmed pet.
DD spells could be lesser than that of a full mage, or equal to a veno, but not same elements.
Ilussions could be implemented and they could used in the form of the utility buff.0 -
you know what would really be awesome? b:laugh
A class called the "Scholar"
they refer to ancient texts and spells and utilize magic of long since passed races.
their weapon would be a book, theyd be casters and look kinda like those mobs outside tideborn with the books. Their ulti could be something like "A learned scholar devotes his life to reading books, a wise scholar shares what he has learned. Grants all party members within range a 20 sec buff that doubles damage done by affected members. Costs 2 sparks 99 chi) and their other Ulti for 2 sparks "Knowledge holds Power, deals 3000 damage+base magic attack+150% weapon damage to a group of mobs 6 meters around the target and gives a debuff that lowers accuracy by 50% for 5 secs"
Ill let PWi worry about the rest of the skills and skill animations cuz theyre the artistic ones.b:cute
another good idea might be a "Poltergeist" they can do stuff like "Temporarily posess a group of mobs (only works in PvE) for 10 secs (5 mobs at most) to attack all enemy targets within 10 meters (*closer targets will have higher priority, cannot be used on players), requires 2 sparks"
anyway those are just some of my ideas! if PWI chooses to use go ahead i would be so happy to play as a "Scholar"0 -
Aliens are next, its so obvious.
Plus they even know being affiliated with an element is too mainstream.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
