More changes on the map this week.

Nefarious was able to nulify the constant pressure of the triple attacks and managed to defeat all attacking factions. Not only that, they also took RedRaidrs single land this week to paint it red. I just realized while looking at the map- Nefarious is only three lands away from total map domination. With the triple slots so far not working on them anymore, this seems to turn into a worrisome situation for the other TW factions.

Something different, Enelysion managed to succesfully defeat Outlaw in a one on one for Misfortune City. It was a very exciting battle in my opinion, with two factions so close in strength. As far as I know there are no videos made.

R3N3G4D3S succesfully defended their territory again, slowly building in the low corner of the map. Will they be our future hero to free the land of the blood red waves crushing us, will they be able to stop the land from drowning? -gets carried away- Ok, I'll keep it at that lol.

I think we're all anticipating Nefarious next move.


Ps. New forums are still ugly, but at least light colors are readable again.

Oh noes!

Only 2 factions currently remain standing against Big Red Bob who has been slowly eating away all color off the map. Will the rumors be true and will Nefarious turn their backs to Regicide untill all other colors are off the map?
Regicide and R3N3G4D3S, prepare your arms for some big **** battles coming up!

Surprisingly enough, last week Legendary overbid Outlaw's final bid of 54 million and raised it to 55 million on R3N3G4D3S. This seemed like an act of confidence, however R3N3G4D3S succesfully defended their territory and Legendary lost some big money there.

Enelysion again lost a territory in a swift 6 minute lasting battle. QQ me.

Congratulations to Nefarious and R3N3G4D3S on succesully defening their territories.

Final stand

We have a few newcomers to the Territory Wars this week, and one that really amused me is Oldies. I really hope you guys do some damage, that would make my day lol.

Will Regicide be able to keep their land with so much pressure on them? Will Nefarious celebrate their final victory this week or are their opponents able to stop them from their mission to paint it red?

Sanctuary in a heartbeat

Looking back at the old reports and posts made.. Who would have ever thought it would come this far? Let's take a moment to go trough some highlights in Sanctuary history. The rise and fall of many big and small factions. So many heated discussions and much more.

Nefarious was the first faction to capture a territory on the Sanctuary server; Courage Path. This giving them a headstart on recruiting on the server. Many factions after them started to mix themselves in the war games.
Legendary, Seppuku, Nemesis, Steel, Ravenous, Regicide, Outlaw, RedRaidrs, Rebirth, Shockwave, Dreaming, NWO, Eminence, R3N3G4D3S, LIONSOUL, Enelysion, Amplified; a set of names many of you will most likely remember, from either past or present. Some old and still standing, others once glorious but now disappeared in the shades. Some relatively new but fighting hard to reach the top.

A colorful map, but one can tell Nefarious is expanding quickly. In the weeks that follow soon the level three tiers are taken by the largest factions.
Not long after that the server could add another victory on the list: Nefarious had taken the first city, City of the Lost (level 2 tier). Quickly after that Legendary took the city of Etherblade (level 2 tier).

What I think always has been typical for the server -or maybe all servers, that I can't tell- is groups of people migrating from faction to faction. Most of the existing factions today are based on many merges between smaller factions, draining those - this is where I like to throw in the term powerhouse, we haven't seen that one in a while. People used it in a negative way, related to sayings as "what comes up must go down", and "quickly rises, quickly falls".

However, this was in the time when a stalement had formed between Nefarious and Legendary, after the fall of Outlaw.

This doesn't really seem all that long ago now, does it?

I remember a negative atmosphere, and the people in general started to become less interested in TW than before. The stalement seemed to last forever, and no one seemed to be able to make a diffirence, wether attacking Legendary or Nefarious. This screenshot is from when the first battlefront report was made, May 18th.
A few ups and downs on both sides, but Nefarious slowly started eating away the Legendary lands. The first actual change was made by Regicide, gaining a land from Legendary. After this other TW factions, including Nefarious, kept putting pressure on Legendary.

The next faction able to take a land from Legendary was RedRaidrs, leaving Legendary with only 4 lands. They were followed up by Eminence, LIONSOUL and Enelysion. In between all that, Legendary did manage to retake a few of the lost lands, however only to be conquered by Nefarious again.
Surprisingly enough, after losing their land, RedRaidrs managed to gain a land from Nefarious and keep it for several weeks. Nefarious didn't bother to attack them, for reasons we can only speculate at.

Right aftr the latest expansion, Rising Tide. Outlaw managed to take land from LIONSOUL and Enelysion took land from Legendary. Looking at that map gives me a feeling we saw a glimpse back of the old days, with a colorful map. The only diffirence is that the colors are severely separated by a sea of red.
After these small victories however, Nefarious began taking over the remaining colors aswell. The once great and well-known Legendary, was completely taken off the map in a final battle against their everlasting enemy.
A lot of changes have occured and Nefarious is at present 1 land away from a complete victory. The history of this server will be written soon.

I will admit to using the phrase that many other reporters have used before me for this "special occasion": What will happen next? Only time will tell.

Highlights

To the surprise of many, Regicide did manage to hold their defense, and not only that, actually managed to destroy Nefarious crystal. Right on the edge with 2 hours and 47 minutes. That is quite a change from what happened last week. Seems like Regicide did have a a special plan after all!

And not only that, but in one of the triple attacks RedRaidrs managed to conquer a land. Orange is back on the map! Does this means that Nefarious has reached it's climax, and that's it'll be going downhill for them now? Or did they simply got overconfident?

And will Nefarious continue their tactics of trying to take out every other faction before they turn ot Regicide again? If so, watch out RedRaidrs!

Following from last week's success Regicide continue's to take land, Seizing City of the Plume. Legendary's defeat against Nefarious in
the 9.00am battle and subsequent defeat in the 20:00 battle see's them exit the TW map. Meanwhile it was business as usual for Nefarious.
Finally the absenteeism of RedRaidrs and Outlaw, from this weeks action, leaves the final land of the Great Lake unchanged.

Congratulations to Nefarious and Regicide on this week's victories.

The battlefront report continues - Outlaw Style






Last week saw Regicide take plume. This week see's Nefarious launch their bid to reclaim it. Also Nefarious face off to another 3 way battle of Regicide, Enelysion and Legendary and are also challenged by Amplified, Vamps, Damphyrs, Charisma, Angeles and Eternidad. Meanwhile a new entrant to TW $Merchant seeks to take Regicide on at Stairway to Heaven. Finally Outlaw faces off against Recluse.

After last weeks victory for Regicide over Nefarious at Plume, this week say Nefarious's bid to reclaim the city. After a epic TW struggle of nearly 3 hours Regicide held the city. The day prior Regicide added Hidden Orchard to their growing collecting, leaving the Regi's knocking on the Capitals doors. Elsewhere the Outlaws made it three weeks running holding the Great Lake after defeating Recluse is a short but swift TW.

Good fight to all those participating from all factions and congratulations to Nefarious, Regicide and Outlaw on this week's victories.

Expansion

Highlight of this week's Territory Wars would be Regicide conquering Archosaur. A big loss for Nefarious, as it is a city that gives the owner a lot of prestige and a good income. But Regicide is not the only faction that has gained a land; Legendary managed to take control of Fragrant hills, granted with their good old orange color. For Regicide this means they now own two cities; has the expansion begun?

Rumor has it a group of former Nefarious members went to Outlaw, strenghtening their troops. This should be interesting to see how it will effect their performance in upcoming weekend.

Will the server keep the pressure on Nefarious or will Regicide soon turn into a new target? Stay tuned to read about this and more in the upcoming Pre-battle Report!


Personal note: For my faction it was a great TW weekend, we had a blast fighting Nefarious. Having a smaller group of people to fight against (the main group being in the Regicide battle) meant for us that we had less lag and could play around and try out our strategies a lot more. So much fun!

What I would really like to see is more factions recording their Territory Wars. It's so much fun to see eachother going and really keeps the spirit to go to Territory Wars up. We'll try to get our recordings back soon aswell.

Life goes on

-personal note- Before we start on this.. Omgeeee I messed up in our slot lol. -/personal note-

All land holding factions were under attack this weekend. Nefarious lost another land to Regicide, but did manage to hold against the triple slot that RedRaidrs, Enelysion and Legendary forced them into. Well done Nefarious.

Regicide managed to defeat all opposing factions and so did Legendary. Legendary however managed to defeat attacking faction Outlaw in 12 minutes, instead of the almost two hour lasting battle of last week. Change of tactics or did Legendary simply got fed up with the Outlaw attacks?

What was interesting to see is that there was no attack from Nefarious this week. Are they trying to keep their remaining lands or do they slowly but steadily want to take the TW pressure off their members? Or is there another hidden motive we did not see?

The end of a Legacy?

This weekend Thousand Streams is finally under assault, and will be receiving a much needed make-over. What will this mean for Nefarious? The embargo on all TW apothecary items will finally be over, ironguard powders all around?

Nefarious still refuses to man up and lead the counter-attack against Regicide, leaving Regicide completely untouched for yet another weekend. Legendary will once again have to defend against a full force Nefarious. Will they fight honorably, or go for their charm **** bully tactic as usual?

Dreaming makes a surprising return to the TW spotlight!

The triple attack that resulted in a second land loss for Nefarious last weekend appears again. Will they be able to hold their own against these assailants Sunday night?

New Surprises? Not really...

Regicide will be getting a taste for defenses this weekend, as they are finally attacked. Nefarious not even bothering to spear head this assault.

Instead they will once again push to remove Legendary from the map, leaving the obvious threat that is Regicide free to expand across the map.

Vindicate makes their debut in the TW scene by attacking Amplified. Do we have another STEEL in the making here?

Interesting to observe was the delay on bidding by certain factions this weekend. The joint assault by Legendary, Enelysion, and Amplified; no longer predictable, meant if any "would-be" bid blocking factions wanted to disrupt the triple attack, they would be required to wait in order to disrupt... Oh... That actually happened though... hmm~

Fourth of July Weekend, which means all factions will be suffering from the Holiday draw put on some American players. Let's see what this does for our TW weekend.
