what? *confused* i find most girls spend ALOT of time on how they look where as guys tend to use stock charaters, make them ugly as they can for giggles or make them biggest **** they can to have something to look at.
its strange.. I am called dude alot.. and my bf (on his veno) gets called hun b:surrender most people are shocked to hear him on vent or when he mentions he is a guy. and it sets people back when they find out i am female O.o
I think i get called dude alot because i have a very take charge additude. I get alot of pm's about how pretty my chacter is, always in matching fashion which i have lots of ect all the normal "female" type things. but its not really normal for women to be dominate. When people call me dude sometimes I let it slide, other times i politely correct them. if they are being stupid i correct them with an additude.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I just assume people are the same gender as their character. Don't really care enough to pay attention to whether or not that gender matches up with their personality. lol[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

"real girl" playing female character:
-- Has more than one or two fashion items (I haven't played this long, but in other games, I haven't exactly been big on fashion.)
-- Fashion items have been dyed (even if it costs 19 dyes for each piece) and pieces match. (Maybe someday, if I can ever afford those essentials like weapons and armor first)
-- Wears long flowing dresses a lot. (unlikely)
-- More apt to put short hair on the character. (nope. My hair is long, so my characters have long hair, too.)
-- More likely to make a straight-line, thin character than a filled-out curvaceous one (negative. I'm curvy, so my characters are, too.)
-- Fashions are on auto-rotate (I don't even know what this means)
-- Will ask to be embraced for "chi" (hrm no)
-- If cleric, won't heal other female characters dressed better than she (ok, this one stretches too far for a joke). (You've found me out! Okay, not really)
-- Calls everyone "hun" (no, once in a long while I will though)
-- More concerned with equitable, fair, fun groups than power squads with an everyone for themselves attitude. (this is true)
-- Won't initiate or accept many duels (this is probably true as well)
G.I.R.L. playing female character:
-- If character wears any fashion, they are the random colors coming straight from the vendor/boutique (no investment in dyes). Even if it is an orange top with purple skirt.
-- Character is usually in a bikini
-- Character has derogatory name such as ImaWhore, FoxySluut, DoUWannaDoMe, etc...
-- Character bust is as large as can be made and waist is as small as it can be made
-- Tries to dictate detailed squad strategy 30 minutes before reaching the boss.
-- Will not ask to be embraced for chi and turns down other's offers to make chi
-- Tells other players how to play their characters whether they ask for advice or not.
-- Frequently wants to duel
Feel free to append this list
The G.I.R.L. ones are much more accurate than the others, IMO. It's true, I won't deliberately make my character garish, won't run around in a bikini, won't name her something derogatory (unless it's very funny and original), her bust is proportional to the rest of her, as is her waist, I'm not usually bossy, still not sure about that chi thing, and I probably won't tell you how to play (but then, I'm still new). I rarely want to duel in games, so that one fits.0 -

Generally yes this is a guy trait but can be put in the female column on occasion b:surrender Seen it not pretty stuff

Blue is traits that apply to both genders and are not a good estimate of how to tell. Red is female traits and green is male traits.
One thing I should say is Females dyers have a tenancy to lean towards Black Red White and Pink.
Male dyers will go for Green Black Purple Blue and a few other random colors for a female but you will very rarely see Red and Pink on a guys female character.
:P just a note
But it doesn't really matter I treat them based on how they act if you act mean I will treat you with a touch of mean act floaty I will be floaty too. b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Sorry, but I can't relate to any of that. I really don't care about fashion much. Though I do want to match. Who doesn't? O.o And bms ask for chi all the time. And "hun" sounds like an old person no offense. The VenoX: Heavy Pure Melee (Axe User with a hint of magic) Venomancer and Proud

Dont really get why knowing gender matters that much O_O
Not like you're gonna hook up with the person irl and have sex or find the love of you're life. I guess it does happened but you would have a bigger chance of crafting a ring with -15% channeling.
I always get called "dude" and i really dont care at all. Not like random people will treat you much differently b/c you're female.
Majority of hardcore players will always be more focused on their chars/gear/refines/in game fortune getting quests done or whatever than trying to hit on someone they think might be a hot girl. You wont get free expensive cash shop items from strangers because you have **** irl, or at least not unless you prove it with live cam b:chuckle. I guess there are some gullible guys that e-girls can get free stuff from.
Ugly and vulgar female chars in **** fashion are always guys, if even if they claim to be girls. Venos or clerics with cute chars and 100 pieces of fashion are pretty much always girls. Specially if they have loads of all-class pets with funny names.
How ever ive seen some pretty horrid "scams" in this game. Guys pretending to be girls for months (even longer), posting loads of fake pics on msn and forums. For some reason their microphone is always broken when asked to come vent. Than they marry some guy in game thats in love with the fake pics. Makes him buy them free hercs/nix/event gear etc than divorces him and on to next lonely guy for more free items. They rarely get busted, but sometimes they get sloppy and leave traces from what website the fake pics are from. Or they tell someone they "trust" and that person cant keep their mouth shut.0 -

If you ever visit a public non-gaming forum, you'll notice actual girl's will use certain things more often then a guy would. Along with that, they text can tend to be more txt'ing like, instead of full text.0 -
Yep, girls use different texts than guys most of the time. If you can read through the tone of voice from what they wrote, you'll generally figure it out 80% of the time. Other 20% is just guys typing like gals[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Celestyna - Heavens Tear wrote: »what? *confused* i find most girls spend ALOT of time on how they look where as guys tend to use stock charaters, make them ugly as they can for giggles or make them biggest **** they can to have something to look at.
Well, this is all just my opinion of course. But my reasoning is that nobody wants to look at an ugly character unless that ugly character is supposed to be modeled after them in real life...
So since guys obviously can't model a female character after themselves, guys really don't have any reason for making an ugly character. I admit I hadn't considered just making them for something to laugh at, but they probably would not be playing that character much if so.
We can also look at the reasons as to why guys make female characters. One reason is because they would rather look at a female character while playing instead of a male one. The reason for this is because they find the female character more pleasing to the eyes. So why would they purposefully make the character ugly, where it would not be pleasing to the eyes?
Another reason is because they're **** who want to go around scamming naive hormone driven idiots... And if you want to go around scamming based on sex appeal, of course you would want to have a good looking character.
So I think the only ones who have reason to make an ugly female character would be a girl. Of course, I think it's true that most girls tend to make their characters as cute as possible. But those rare few who don't probably make up the entire population (pretty small) of ugly female characters.0 -

My character has pink hair in pigtails and all pink fashion to match. I even kept it strictly the "magenta" dye except on the Corsair outfit which is a bit darker. I got a wardrobe stone just so I'd have a better place for all my fashion.
As if that's not enough, I'm a cleric. The healing class. One barb told me, after a BH, that...well...
