Armor from your characters??

Reminds me of this guy from, well, another game --- he was somewhat famous for making a bunch of rather extreme characters just to see how it would work out, writing a little story around their adventures. One of these was a barbarian who sooo wanted to be a sorcerer but just couldn't do it, until he got his hands on this special piece of gear that allowed him to fire some weakly fireballs (which was part of the set I used on my main chars, incidentally. I could wear the full thing, though, making the fire spells actually useful in endgame and providing a ton of useful bonuses along with it). And so he set out to prove that just being a Barbarian doesn't mean you can't be a Sorcerer :-)
I wish I could remember some actual names as input for google...
Not true in all cases. I wear light armor... magic could cause a lot of damage if you do not switch up or have enough gear but honestly the interval in fox form and being able to use fox form and not miss... plus the extra physical defense fox form gives you makes light armor appealing if you want to still have enough magic damage and deal physical as well. That being said...
Veno - Light Armor
Blademaster - Light/Heavy
Psychic - Arcane
Cleric - Light Armor (because I'm cheap and hey... can use my TT junk on it when it is of level)
no point in listing the other classes because I don't actively play the others even though I have characters.0 -

1. b:victory yay for LA venoes
2. I only carry light in my inventory for emergencies against magic attacks with my BMs, so they are just heavy really
3. People judge light armored clerics, but I know I don't want to be LA cleric. I am more focused on better heals, just like wizzie, so forced to be arcane robes which I hate the most lol[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Wait you meditate in a squad?Tapout0

Yes, when I stack my ironhearts as a cleric... I conserve MP. It depends on how hard the tank gets hit or others. If I stack 3 ironhearts, and the HP isn't going down for 15 seconds, why shouldn't I?
Edit: it depends on the bosses, if I am just healing. I can save a lot more MP , I just go creative. No one complained about me using meditate, I barely use MP potion when I just heal[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

cause clerics have these thing called seals, they help the squad do damage, if the rest of your squad is working why shouldn't you?0

Very good point. If there's no need to heal whoever is tanking, then save everyone the time, repairs, and mana by dealing damage.
Pots are expensive, I'm well aware, but it's almost a necessity when you need to get things done effectively. When you're lv75, you can start using those yuanxiao herb things that are fairly cheap in the catstalls and restore 5k of MP. =][SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I use seals and thunderball with cyclone, siren's kiss and wield thunder, I have different ways to use my combos. I am just stating how I conserve my MP. Besides, if I squad with randoms, they will bark at me for using an attack skill even when I still heal b:laugh[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

if you look i leveled a barb to 72, and i never once yelled at a cleric for attacking or sealing (thunderballs a funny joke though) if i wasn't dying0

The faster the foe dies, the less you'll have to use MP to heal the tank. That's how you conserve MP. Sitting out on a fight to meditate is causing everyone else to waste more MP dealing damage because they're one person short - or having more repairs because they have to tank longer. So all in all... sitting down during a fight is just selfish, and that's why people don't like players that do that - regardless of class.
This is why I'm very appreciative of my fellow DD friends, and I frequently let them know.
I don't discriminate against people that meditate, because I do it between mobs during quests when I'm low on my herbs or after a boss if someone needs to turn in a BH and I don't - or whatever the case may be.
Edit: As for attacking and sealing, I was actually given the order to "seal as much as I can" today for the first time. I was built as a full-on support cleric in my early levels, so I'm now appreciating the damage and effects my seals and attacks really do.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

sometimes I hate those cleric seals because they overwrite my Myraid Rainbow when it actually does go off and give 100% magic and physical defense break.... they also over write my sage ironwood with them.... noooo lol
On the other hand I love their BB because it means infinite mana for me.... which means more myraid rainbow lol0 -

Now when I use spark its 1400-1413. I don't have to use ironheart again when I buffed me or the tank with ironheart after stacking, I clearly use pure hearted blessing when the tank gets to 50% lower. Only fail barbs would hate me for that lol. If a barb cannot survive for at least 5 seconds, then he needs more HP / resistances because I am healing them fine and have yet to find a barb getting killed even with my healing. Again, don't judge pure heart because its 3 seconds of channeling to use. Learn to manage time before you judge.
At lvl 49, you get a spike healing spell that heals for 3x as much and casts faster. Around your level, IH is literally sufficient enough for everything, and if something happens where you need a quick heal, there is Wellspring. There is absolutely no need for Purehearted in earlier levels, like there is no need in later levels, and you've wasted spirit and money that you could have spent on another spell that isn't piece of ****.
Also, I would slap silly any Cleric that decides to use Purehearted when I'm tanking TT charmless, especially for bosses like Vipenalt, Lord of Percussion, Soul Banisher, or Wurlord who dish out nasty spike damages that take 2/3 of my life in one hit. If I see the Cleric casting Purehearted to patch up the damage from spike damage, I would quit on the spot, because 1. IH is being neglected during the 3 seconds, therefore when you are finished casting it for moderate amount of heal, there is no immediate source of healing to cover the damage done from attacks after, and 2. because you decided to use inferior healing spell that simply costs less.
But ofc, your are not even at the level where you would even consider TT, so there was no way you'd know any of that. And Ironheart alone won't cut it sometimes, I can tell from what happened ingame. Most clerics only rely on ironheart and BB which is not really smart because there are bosses and mobs that AOE debuffs while ironheart buff is clearly gradual healing. So ironheart is basically the slowest effect of heal but it does stack to make it up. I remembered a BM tried to tank Farng one time and the other cleric was just buffed the BM with 1 ironheart every 15 secs, the BM died though because 1 ironheart each wasn't enough
This segment fails horribly and I'm not even going to say why.0 -

lol, much sympathy for that. I usually only cast my seals when I see that the little picture debuff that looks like them isn't already there :P[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

well i'd think around the 10X lvls the cleric probably has alot of their hands...well i guess they should know by then, so cleric is more at fault there0 -

I'd hope they'd learn by at least by 79 when the veno has the opportunity to get myriad rainbow, if they don't already know about ironwood.
I play both classes quite frequently, so I understand the frustration on both ends. b:cry[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

It's even worse when they overwrite demon ironwood (when it actually procs) b:surrender>.<0
