(Didn't want to sift through all the post for my answer)

I bought a few Violet Pigments today for my bikini, because I liked the shade you had on your bikini. I was super happy to have a beautiful dark purple bikini set, when I finished and noticed the color you shown here is not the same shade. I noticed that you used the other version of Perfect World but does this one color really make a difference in game versions, or was I just unlucky?

~My picture's dye boxes actually match the bottle of the pigment in your picture.

I've heard that when you try to use white pigment it turns the fashion grey. Is it true for every type of fash? So to have truly white it has to have come white and not have been dyed? Does a white steampunk skirt exist?

Question: Say I have an item that requires 2 pigments to dye. Am I allowed to mix and match pigments? Say, if I took one green dye and one brown dye to the Seamstress, could I use them together to create brownish-green? Or do both pigments have to be the same?

Great guide, I appreciate it. ^^

I just have a question though... I just got some new clothing, and according to the guide, the pants are violet, and the top being greenish-blue. Since I wanted the two to match, I bought violet pigment. When I tried to dye it, however, it came out more like a bright, strong pink colour... is that what violet really looks like or is it a glitch?

First off, colors look slightly different for every type of fashion set.

And when you buy clothes from the boutique it doesn't a random dye color, but it picks a random pixel on the color palette you see when previewing fashion. So it usually comes out in a color that doesn't exist as a dye.

I appreciate the answer - it does explain a lot, and that I may not get them to match perfectly. All I'm wondering is how trying to dye something violet for the colour shown in the guide ended up with the top turning out to be bright, strong pink. It doesn't really make sense to me, seeing as violet was the darkest purplish colour I could find in the guide.

What we need is a dye NPC and not stuck buying it from the cash shop, or for ridiculous amounts from players(red, white, black especially)
