Female fashion shows too much skin

This is a serious issue, lets be mature and not ridicule those that have different taste in fashion than yourself.
It will become a boring world if everyone wore the same outfit or had the same taste.
I agree with op, those that fancy covering clothes, should have the same options as others.
To suggest what a person should or should not wear, is the same as suggest to a person how to play his/her character.

I came in too late to see the edited-out sig... But just out of curiosity...
Isn't it a strange coincidence that in the same day we get 2 gender-based QQ threads, started by people with a blood-related name?

(Could be wrong, of course... just an observation) XDDon't mind me, I'm just here for the free food!

PWI has plenty of choices for women who want to be modest without being "asian" themed. Just a few examples:- Summer pattern / Madame's Skirt - This may or may not fall under "asian" to the OP; it doesn't, to me. My cleric wears it.
- Brawler Top / Leather Pants - This combines two non-revealing elements of different fashion sets and it works really well. My veno wears it.
- Verdana Smock / Seaspray Slacks - Cheap as hell to get, cheap to dye, and very modest. My psychic wears it.
- Leopard set - Another modern one, if you don't mind bare shoulders. The pants and boots give off a "tough" kind of feel, but if you don't want that, substitute Leather Pants (this is what my gf's main plans to get eventually).
- Magician's set - The legs are showing, but that's about it.
- Bohemian set - I wouldn't call this "asian" either, personally.
There are plenty of choices for all kinds of women. No one is required to wear skimpy outfits, but they do exist, and the female chars who choose to wear them have just as much right to wear them as you do to be modest. Or they're males playing female chars. XD My only female char who wears anything revealing is my BM (Bikini Top / Springside Skirt), but she has a Chipao set on hotkey as well.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Can I suggest that we not have Amish people dictate what our characters wear? My character happens to look very good in the beach set and the vixen wrap, both of which show a LOT of skin. Honestly, I think we just need to get used to the fact that, in the gaming world, sex sells. For those times when *facepalm* and *headdesk* just aren't enough, I present...*brickhead*...painful, effective, and guaranteed to make you forget why you hit yourself in the first place.

But honestly - some people just want to wear the skimpy outfits, and we shouldn't be demonizing them any more than, say, a barb in the shining feather outfit. Hell, I put a bid on some casual beach shorts for my main last night. I plan to get the matching shirt and maybe the sandals. XD Gotta get a second wardrobe stone though... ._.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

well i dont want to wear skimpy things and im just saying there should be more options for those of us who dont want to run around half nekked other than those traditonal chinese outfits.0 -
You know, there is something...it's called your armor! Granted, the Light Armor is sometimes skimpier than some of the fashion (b:dirty), but most of it is pretty conservative. Either that or find an MMO that fits your wants...Apparently PWI doesn't.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Might I recommend the Classic Banquet Top/Skirt, or maybe some Seaspray Slacks/Thunder Pants?[Insert pithy quote here.]0

Maybe it's just that the 'covering' outfits in the Boutique or that people sell are not YOUR taste. There are outfits that are covering most of the body and are not Chinese style. And by the way, you don't have to get the whole suit like it's sold, you can mix and match. ^^
Just wear your armor then and if its too revealing then get something from the outfits that some people suggested because some of them are really good (that's imo though).
If none of these solved your problem, then I don't know what esle to say. b:shutup[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

So, I was bored, reading the forums, not yet lvl 30, and getting herbs. With no inkling of fashion, beyond not liking many armors, in just a few minutes, and with many cover-everything pieces being lvl 30, I came up with, at a moment's notice:
As a guy, I'm cool w/ skimpy outfits*. But. I gotta say: a dark yukata with boots looks awesome. 'Course, they also tend to be expensive at the AH--coincedence?
* actually, the too-skinny form of the bodies kind of bugs me, which shows more w/ skimpy clothing; but, it's the same for male chars."adults on HT is an ancient myth used to scare away the kids from stealing their parents credit cards " - Santacruz0 -

I think this thread should go to the suggestion box, but I also see this putting up trolls. IMHO though, if you don't like it, don't buy fashion, or to be more bold on you, don't play the game. You will never have to deal with pixellated female characters running around showing flesh anymore. Simple and Easy! b:bye0
-
I think the major problem here is, some people think that a woman showing any skin is somehow wrong. Now, I don't really like the shirts that show so much cleavage, but a nice Classic Banquet Top and Minxxi Mini-Skirt can be quite tasteful.[Insert pithy quote here.]0
-
Long as I don't have to see 800 pound chicks or complete hobags in mini skirts and mid-drifts in real life, I don't care what people wear in a game.
But I will say it'd be nice if there was some spiffy looking shirt that's not plain and ugly, and maybe like...pants that aren't from the 60's ...yeah.
b:shocked0 -
I agreewith the pants part. It would be nice to get some skinny jeans or so.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

b:angryi like my skinny jeansSins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze0 -
