Power? Axe if AOE, Fist if 1v1
Attackspeed? Fist
Survivability? The one with the most vit or best gear...
Fun? using axe/fist/spear together
Cost? FistWondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.0 -
At lower levels I guess swords could be better than fists since fists really start to shine at 90+. Not sure really.100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

I'm not really sure about until lvl 29 but that was when i switched to fists and never regret it. I don't need powders or heal pots, just some manapots to use sutra. Can't really tell if swords or axes are better though because I pretty much only use fists. Sure they don't shine as I don't even got -int gear yet and still questmobs are a walk in the park because i only need to cancel the first spell and they are dead before they can use the second one.0

Sword doesn't out-pace fist without refines when -int is discounted. And still make less chi. The cheapness of fist legendary weapons from 60+ and access to -int is when fist takes the lead.0

Fists/claws rock the instant you find a decent pair for your level. Which is usually starting at around 30, when you gain access to Sting of Thorns (others may debate that statement...but imo Spikes is an awesome effect for the level you get it, and it procs reasonably often). The biggest issue is a lack of easy to acquire upgrades from 30-60, unless you put the work into attaining a Lotus Malevolence.
They have a lower overall damage per hit, but they gain Chi like no other weapon can, meaning you can spark/ult significantly more often. And the faster attack speed makes the occasional miss or two a non-issue when compared to something like Axes when going against a single target.0 -
a bm's main weapons will be fists and axes
pick up spear and sword skills as you like after you hit 8x aka "omg to much spirit land"
by lvl 89 there is no excuse to not have 4 skill trees maxed - the omg trash skills like vacatous palm
get DQ bracers and AOS at 60 = fists become intstarape
calams at 70 = random as hell 4k hits on other heavies with drake bash
so ya multipath from lvl 30 on and go rearange some mobs internal organs (<3 kidney hats)
and ya a +2-3 sting of thorns is amazing from lvls 30-53 try n get 2 sockets if ya canGifs are hard to make work here0 -
I am a pure sword user. I find it a very balanced weapon in PvE and PvP.0

You're also at a level which can be reached in half a week. Swords are terrible.
swords are basicly good for MSS and hell atamos lol
max skills for my lvl with the exeption of the absolute ly useless ones like mage bane and stream strike
feed a geni or 2 and farm lvl 7x/8x bh a week or 2 its easly doable
or OMG GRIND bm's are a pricy class so its eaither CS your **** off or grind/tt your soul away
made almost 2.5 spirit in the last 3 days off like 2 hours of aoe grinding cheif sins and my bh chain
so ya not getting how thats so hardb:surrenderGifs are hard to make work here0 -

3.8m (sword) + 7.1m (spear) + 7.9m (axe) + 3.1m (fist) + 3m (79 skills)
Almost 25m spirit needed. If we assume spirit is roughly 20% of normal exp... that's 125m exp, which would get a character from 70 to 92. Not gonna happen. Unless you decide you rather completely ignore demon skills?Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.0 -

Dude some people want to progress in the game. You've been 7x for months.....most people will not have the patience to do that.
At my level I don't have every skill maxed. I just do the useful ones. Save spirit to make genies, save coin to buy gear.Retired

Personally I feel, that axes, are hands done, the undisputed champion for what bm's should be using for the most part.
There aoe's kick-****, and in my honest opinion, they tend to have the most hp added on to there 'add-on effects.'
Not to mention that people are far more likely to like you/take you on the later/harder runs, if you have axes with maxed out aoes/heaven's flame. (Time the HF just right, and people will absolutely love you for it, at least from my experience.)
I did go sword build, first, and at mid-late 6x's early 7x's, I really started to realize how much I was getting my **** kicked, then I started to multi-path with axes, and now fists. Now my survivability is real high, and I am taken on a lot of runs, when I can be on. =x lol
Though it is true one on one fists are superior to axes, however, axes allow you to not only have aoes, but also in my opinion allow you to stand a MUCH better chance at beating other classes in a duel/pvp match. Axe's allow you to do the 'infamous' stun-lock combo that you may have read/heard about, and without it/or chi, you might as well bend over and kiss your butt good bye. =xAh, Mistakes are so easily made. ~ laura resnick
What kind of message are you sending when you insult my intelligence? ~ Me ~ 5/29/2015 (Yes it is possible someone said this before just no idea who/where.)0 -
Axes are pretty nice too, yes but I still think fists are superior when it comes to questing. I mean AOEing magical mobs as a BM is no fun at all and fists are best when going 1v1. I still have an Axe with me and keep HF lvled for BHs and stuff when you can use HF on cooldown at the bosses because you build enough chi with fists. Only downside is that I only have 3.2k HP right now so taking aggro from BH Boss=goodbye me. It's more then enough for quests though and I already got some nice refined 76-79 armor on my bank+working on getting TT 90 stuff with my alt.0

And no, a pure Axe build doesn't allow you to stunlock better than a Fist/Axe build. Fist users can build chi faster in between stuns meaning they can keep it up for longer. They also do far more damage to single targets at the same time, once you get some interval.Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.0
