i just tryed the new payment methode called Boku!
i payed 1 euro → 60 zhen that`s soo unfair
so if i pay 50 euros i get 30 golds
that`s even wierd !
so please tell me if boku option will bcm 1euro-100zhen-1gold
cuz im sure no1 will spend 50 euro for 30 gold that`s rap!ng !
ty ! i would like a gm response ty !

    no, its based off how much the euro is to the dollar.

    1 dollar = 1 gold
    so 1 dollar in euros = 1 gold.
    Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
    Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.

    1euro=1,3dollars (roughly)

    I agree to the OP - it is a rip off.
    I think that is fair that you should pay more for a simpler way to achive zhen -by phone- but that would have meant arounf 10% more not almost double as it is now.
    Maybe they will revise the BAKU system, and more important - extend the the number of countries this is available to.

    It hasn't changed, the euro is still stronger than the dollar. Right now, 10 dollars = ~7.50 euros.

    I use euros too, but when I charged zen via credit card last, it cost something like 39 euro for 50gold. Euro is worth more that the dollar with current exchange rates.

    Damn, the dollar is quickly losing it's power. I still remember when the dollar was only worth slightly less than the euro (damn EU for ganging up on us b:angry).

    Must have been a glitch or something that screwed over OP. Either that or, like Lunnark said, they're making people pay for the 'convenience' of buying gold through the phone.

    I think he was referring to the normal credit card system, not Boku. I cashed a little too, I used euros and it was about the same amount for the same quantity of gold.

    And yes, we're owning the damn dollar!! :D

    because you're paying thru the phone. use a credit card and avoid this problem!

    hi there.

    allow me to elaborate on this situation.

    -- CAUTION: long-winded wall-of-text reply below --

    perfect world and paymo (boku) are partners. if the partnership could solely exist between these two groups, there wouldn't be any issue. sadly, this is not the case. because the payment system operates via mobile phone, the telco-carriers are involved in this transaction. the telcos actually take a HUGE chunk of the payment you make. while i would love to disclose the actual numbers, NDA prevents me from doing so. but if you look at numbers and crunch the math, you should be able to figure it out for yourself.

    anyway, i digress.

    the telcos take a big chunk and because of this, the net revenue that PWE receives from the transaction is very little. as a matter of fact, PWE actually gives out more ZEN than it receives as part of the transaction. so every paymo/boku transaction that takes place actually has bonus ZEN attached to it. does that make sense?

    and because we are bound by a higher power (parent company ^_^), we can only give out so much ZEN for a given amount of revenue.

    so trust me, we'd love to be able to give you a 1:1 near ratio, but it is quite honestly out of our hands.

    however, for american users on verizon, a new payment method will be added in the coming months by the name of BilltoMobile. BilltoMobile is also a mobile-phone based payment, but because of the new technology it utilizes, doesn't require a giant chunk of the revenue to be removed; thus ensuring a more or less 1:1 ration. but more on that later.

    I think i'll stick with paypal from now on, considering the zen transfer rate and the fact that boku hardly works properly most of the time. Would have just been nice to have an instant payment for once instead of waiting 5 day+ for paypal -.-;;

    actually all those other mobile-payment options operate on the same principle. zong, dao, allopass, etc. all are the same; and boku is actually the same company paymo (brand change).

    even if we partnered with let's say zong, we wouldn't be able to get past that horrible revenue rate. =(

    really sorry about that.

    i know it seems unfair, but we provide mobile payments as an option to those that have absolutely no way of paying. if you do have the means, use paypal or moneybookers. you get a 1:1 ratio and it's quick and easy (unless you use e-checks, cuz that would take like 5 to 7 days).

    if credit cards aren't your thing, you can always go the prepaid card route or paybycash.

    sorry, we do our best to cater to the mass audience but sometimes fall a little short.
