An fb69 wine costs 393k from npc and you need 40 mats for it(10 of each)that means 1 mat= almost 10k?So it's cheaper to make wine with mats bought for 8-9k which is double than what they costed before.Wow this is great!...not

If the info about the price you provided is true,
Players will sell their mats at about 9k-10k at the very least b:surrender
It's another way to sink coins or gather coins (for farmers).

You`re acting as if the GMs made it law to sell your wine at the NPC price...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

It's the players.
Who would want to sell mats at 3k-5k when they could worth at least 9k? o.o?0 -

most players being more than greedy, the NPC prices will be the reference.I look at all the trollers, and Pvpers.. and know they wouldnt have lasted 30sec on Camelot.

Do I understand correctly? You can buy wine from NPC without mats?b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

So if some player decides to sell wines for 400k each, it won't affect the market, but suddenly a random npc decides to sell it for 400k each, so all the players sell it for that much?
Why do players sell citrine gem for so cheap, then? They costs MUCH for if you bought it from an npc.0 -
But think of the other side, DO you reallly think people will sell it for that much...it means rarly any sales...and they want even poor to waste there cas on there wines....
My Server BH69 Wines 150-180k, people GO nuts for it and make farmers rich
Lower price - Everyone buys
High price - Rarly any sales

Yes but its expensive as hell.
Seeing as you can buy wine now, there is a max price for mats. ((Assuming wine is the only use for mats)). Someone sets up a catshop undercutting the npc, otherwise no one would buy from him. Someone else comes along, and undercuts him so they buy from him. The cycle keeps going until no one would sell mats cheaper, which is what the price is now. Prices of mats should remain the same for the most part.
If I came out with a store that sold chocolate bars at $500 each, would walmart and every other store jack their prices up to $500 to match me?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
"People who quote themselves in their signatures are silly. I mean, they can just make up whatever **** they want, and since they said it in their siggie, its a quote." - Smobo0 -
Now you can buy wine without using mats, how can this increase the Mats Price ?
The Supply is enough to statisfy the needs, there are plenty mats on the catshops and competetion is firce. Prices may rise for a very short time because speculations and some people taking advantages of some unreasonable fearings but after this the prics won't affected much by this feature.

You have to wonder what's the idea behind it.
When the mat sale came along it proved something interesting. A lot of the mats were priced higher or lower according to current market prices. (Anthracite 30 silver, Refined steel 45 silver for example) So someone in that development team is keeping a close eye on our economy....
The devs aren't dumb, they seemingly do research a lot into their marketing, and they do keep an eye on things over here. Obviously they have some sort of reason for jacking up wine prices.0 -

FranzKafka - Dreamweaver wrote: »That works in a competition btwn players, when you put a standard price to that(like an npc)prices will tend to that value.Imagine if they did the same thing with gold.they put an npc that sells gold for 1 milion,do you think gold price will remain 400k or go around 900k?
Gold would remain at 400k, and would never go above 1mil. The more sources for something the cheaper it is. When you buy mats when there was 3 shops selling them, its more expensive than when there are 15 people set up. The NPC shop selling them simply puts a cap on how expensive they go.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Logic is fine and everything, but Im still selling my wine for 280k each.
edit:Yes, I mean 280k. Not 180k. More money ftw.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Doesn't it makes any sense but we're in different servers and maybe all the good people are there and I only see jackals here.
Still one thing:Don't make me say I told you so when for doing BH79 you'll pay 900k for wines.0 -

I do my BHs wineless for the most part. Eden is easy, brim can be done without wines fairly easily, and bh79 goes down really fast with 6 9xs who know what they`re doing.
Also, 900k for wines in BH89 would mean tokens are over 45k ea....[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Yeah, um... no.
The idea that all sellers will automatically conspire to raise their prices to some arbitrary NPC price is an idea founded upon hysteria, paranoia and pessimism. Sure, it's a popular idea, as demonstrated by this thread, but it has no basis in reality.
The way I make my money in this game is by under-cutting my competition and selling at the lowest price. The greed of my competition is what I take advantage of to make sure I get the most sales, and thus the most profits. When competitors come to me and try to ask/convince/intimidate me to join them in their collusion schemes, I laugh at them, cut my prices even lower, and bankrupt them.
The fact that there's also an NPC now competing too, at a ridiculously inflated price mind you, means absolutely nothing.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Oversaturation of the market is going to keep mat prices at their present state, I would guess. The only thing adding NPC prices did is put a ceiling on how high the mat prices can climb.0 -

To really make it a sink coin you sell the wine at you average market price(as if they knew it)which would have been around 200k bh69 wine. This wouldn't have been fair maybe to mat farmers but with 3 bhs daily making a standard max price wouldn't have been a bad idea.
The wine request is the same...hmm I doubt that, people are farming more mats to sell but that will not take forever, the mat sale was a breath of air and I'm sure without it would have been a real shortage on mats in a week or 2.But a stable economy stands on it's own doesn't needs sales to breath.Of course sales means zen charge so Pwi wins there.
Edit on wine and mats price:Of course they haven't gone up now since they are still on sale...obvious.Let's talk after.0 -
Now Im selling it at 230k each. Im guessing it will be back to normal price soon. Only thing thats keeping it up high is the lack of afk cat shops.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Take a real life example:Banks can't ask interest above 25% because that would be usure(spell ?not english speaker so),but if you check most banks go up to 24.5% and that legal. For that a high interest is there a difference for you?No but becasue of that a high roof it's legal and very used.0
