how do i make friends in game?

i know this is a sad question for me to ask lol but i like hardly have any friends in this game. i only have 1 person to greet me when i log on, plus the faction thats 2 lol so altogether i have 3 people to greet me when i log on :S. i like to talk for hours and like when i add someone afterwards they just delete me bcuz no one needs an archer it seems to be all about what people need what about talking and having a good time? and i dont bother adding faction members bcuz they delete me too once i leave the guild, theres only been 2 cases where that didnt happen. when i was a low lvl it was easy to make friends bcuz people who i quested with added me but now at 7x no one will quest with me they always reject bcuz they need their precious exp:(
or maybe one of yall will be my friend? :3

    Hmm, 3 people at 7x.... Me thinks you need a new faction! Also it might help if you mention what server you're on. I'm sure there is a decent faction with friendly people that would appreciate an archer among their ranks.

    Hmm a new faction would help a lot and its usually what you give you recieve.

    I too am an archer and I think my friend's list is kinda full and need to trim it now and then :(. So I guess its not the class thats the problem.

    Well if youre in Dreamweaver, if you want you can chat/squad me up. I too love chatting while killing innocent little bunnies b:laugh. Even if my friends arent doing the same quests or in the same area, we usually squad up and have a nice chat while doing whatever it is we are doing.

    In the end, its all about how you go about it.

    I just wanna comment on the "no one seems to need an archer" bit.

    points at class and lvl. If we weren't needed no one would bother to continue playing. Archers are asked for all the time, just watch world chat. When someone says DD needed for Tt/Fb/FF/etc... that means YOU :)

    ive crossed through the same issue (more or less), after level 60
    this problem got solved by joining a lovely faction (IceDrakes FTW b:thanks)



    in the early levels, i just send FR to any1 that helped me in quest and vice versa...

    then it came the time when i didnt really need help somehow, and the request dropped down...

    that, plus the fact that just the 20% of people i squaded with usually started a chat after getting on my FL (so after days of non-speaking it became harder to realize, WHICH WAS WHO)


    and ull find that the few contacts remain were from people that just NEEDS UR CHARACTER SKILL...



    btw after 77 level, ive made noticeable friends who i like to talk and squad with, so my advice is just meet as many as possible and then just do a selection...

    u wont need that much to recognize the best friends out of em...


    now i edited my FL in this way:

    FRIENDS (common)
    FACTION (IceDrakes)
    oldFACTION (i still like to talk with the nice people i met, even if im not with them anymore)
    ITALY (im italian, i like to speak in my language sometimes)
    DUNGEON (high level player which i usually squad with for boss/fb when faction cant join me)
    highBARB (all the nice barb higher than me that i met, which i like to share knowledge with)
    LOVE (the future wife, which i met in a BH, and after that we went along nicely togheter, now im away since a bit, so b:sad)


    i was in a constant contact with evey group (not that much with DUNGEON 1) and i liked MMO for this side of game too...




    this may be lil more difficult, if u find yourself in an unlucky time zone
    but i assure you that this game is full of nice people, so far the kindest ive ever seen...

    cuz u can find the moron in every game, but the respect ive felt in here is unbelivable compared to other MMO ive played

    P.S. I won't quest in squad not based on exp but rather to have 100% of the drops. Nix feathers are not cheap these days.

    i started following this same pattern, after realising that i couldnt do anything if i just TANK for every1

    so for my OWN QUEST, i always tend to solo

    i think your expecting too much there... its not like your entire friend list sits and wait til you get on so they can talk to you.

    Set safety lock, grab a charm and go PK everything in sight (or die trying). You'll make friends in a couple of days. Yes it works!!1!!one!!!11!! Just don't be a d**k about it.

    Squad a lot and ask them if you can add them to your friends list.

    Here's the thing about friends list. The following is what I find the purpose fo the list.

    I have contacts on my list because they are polite people who I have worked with in the past who are 9x and are willing to help me out with advice or battling.

    The only other reason there are people on my list are old faction members from another guild that I was in that I felt was necessary to keep contact with in the case of them needing help or visa versa.

    If you want people to talk to all the time you need to get into a great chattie guild and not worry bout loading your friendslist.

    By the way. I hate talking in the those separate chat windows and wispering can be annoying if you are wispering to mulitple people.

    the majority of my FL are my RL bf and RL friend's charaters/alts plus a few people i squad with / have known a long time

    I do not accept just anyone to my FL since i am a cleric and higher level people tend to invite just to ask for my help (pls come res me i am only half way across the map b:cry OR we need help with our bh/random low lvl boss b:sad) if someone gets on my list and starts to act like that they get culled from the list shortly there after.

    For being as cussed as I am on the forums, my FL is overflowing. It has something to do with being relatively decent and helpful in the game. I could be wrong, all my friends could just be stalkers looking to pull my Swiftshadow's wings off mid flight. But I don't think so.

    I'm the chatty type unless I'm in a bad mood, and I get along with a most people in general. I'm not much of a PMer because faction chat is rarely dead, and there's chances that I'm also squadded. Most of the people on my flist are people who I team a lot up with, friends from other guilds or their alts, and so on.

    I'm even less of a chatboxer. I'm ADHD, gimme a break. One chat box with many tabs is enough for me, don't pull a freaking chatbox on top of that, considering I might already be dualboxing (which grabs most of my attention already, and one of the rare occasions where my ADHD is useful, lol). Especially not when I gotta remember to click in said chatbox, and CTRL+Enter to send what I want ._.

    In general, I hate when I receive friend invites after helping with something - because I know every time they need someone, they'll come to me... and I'm rarely idle unless I'm AFK.

    If you are one of those pple that greet pple HI and BYE they tend to notice you alot, also you being talkative helps if its in fac chat too. I think you just need to find a new guild to start off in >.> Squads and PMs are great but maybe its better if you settle down on a new fac first, preferably with more active pple.
