...duh.
Ah...that's the reason I love riddles. Once you get the answer, you almost always kick yourself.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yeah, it's me. Don't read to much into it, though; I'm only here for myself now, killin' time and chillin' when need-be. So sue me. Tch...0 -
Alrighty...here's one I yoinked. After getting the answer...damn, I have to say, it's one of the hardest riddles I've faced.
"To nothing add ten, with three-fifths of two score,
And let them be joined by five hundred more.
These, rightly conjoined, will give you the name
Of a city that's high in the annals of fame."[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Nope.
I'll give you a hint. If one of the numbers you're getting is 24, that's not correct.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Ahh I was so close, the only part I couldn't get was the "three-fifths of two score" >_<
Interesting how I got a legible answer an entirely different way though b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Faulty math rofl. I got the D for five hundred, and somehow (mental math fail) I got 22 for 3/5 of 40 (so XXII)...I ended up with extra letters but I thought I messed up and figured I would take a guess.
Semi-legible? b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Konariraiden was having a big party. He decided on a technique to get lots of people to come. He invited his five closest friends and said that they could each invite 4 people.
Each of those could invite 3.
Each of those could invite 2.
Each of those could invite 1.
Overall, how many people did Konariraiden invite to his party?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I dropped the worry on the way-

"In Greek mythology, the Sphinx sat outside of Thebes and asked this riddle of all travelers who passed by. If the traveler failed to solve the riddle, then the Sphinx killed him/her. And if the traveler answered the riddle correctly, then the Sphinx would destroy herself. The riddle:
What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs in the evening?
Oedipus solved the riddle, and the Sphinx destroyed herself."

What goes on four legs in the morning (baby crawling), on two legs at noon,(adult) and on three legs in the evening? (adult with a walking stick)

YEP! Such an epically classic riddle! My apologies if it was too corny b:surrender
"A man, who crawls on all fours as a baby, walks on two legs as an adult, and walks with a cane in old age.
Of course morning, noon, and night are metaphors for the times in a man's (person's) life. Such metaphors are common in riddles. There were two Thebes, apparently this Thebes was the one in Greece. And this Sphinx was apparently not the one at Giza, in Egypt."

It was lovely nice story to go alone with it.
There are three houses built exactly the same. One is filled with cotton, the other with wood, and the third with iron. One day an arsonist sets them all on fire. The sound of sirens was growing louder at the scene. People were screaming. Which house did the ambulance try to put the fire out at first?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
