In the botique they have added new flying mounts for all races
-Humans get the rose gold gourd for 50 gold,
-Winged elves get Iridesence for 50 gold
and we(barbs/venos) get the colossal dragonfly 50 gold
only conceivable issue i can see here
is that the dragonfly is +3/+5 while the others are +3.2/+6.2
Is it a typo? or is pwi **** us Venos/barbs over b:surrender

untamed got a "wasp", called razor sting.

Someone isnt paying attention, and its starting to irritate me. If the other races get that extra .2, I dont understand why the untamed has to be left out. Its frakkin bs, man.
These are noobish mistakes that should not be happening. Or they are fail attempts to rip off gamers, which is just an insult to PWI's player base.
Also, for the record, why the hell do these flying mounts cost 50 gold if they are permanent additions? The highest aerogear is 40 gold and goes for a speed of 3/6 for human, untamed and elven races.
Can we say collectively: Ripoff?
I wont be paying an overpriced 50 gold for a mount that goes the same speed as my maxed hellfire. Helllll no.

I think they're counting on the fact that the Dragonfly is new and has never been in the CS to make-up for the speed difference. Whereas the other 2 have been around and are commonplace.0

sigh it happens to me too. i brought an Iridescence wing long time ago, i heard people tat it was suppose to be 3.0/6.0 for the boutique brought one, and the one from the anni packs is 3.2/6.2 and now it's up on boutique and guess what? 3.2/6.2 wtf. how is the fair for people who brought it long time ago???? GM please fix it. unfair for people who brought it long time ago.b:cry0

That's....(probably true, but) ridiculous. =/
It takes them absolutely nothing to add that tiny bit of extra speed. Adding extra speed isn't costing them anything extra, it's not like a factory producing a faster brand of car that requires them to manufacture expensive engines...it's a piece of virtual coding exactly like every other mount in the boutique. So why do they have to punish players because it's "new"? And add insult to injury since instead of an appropriate pricing, they made it one of the the most expensive aerogears available....0 -

I'm not defending PWI. Just throwing a theory out there. The Irridescence and Gourd are probably more expensive because of the 3.2/6.2 speed. Before the sale, I knew of one Dragonfly on HT. The default speed of the Dragonfly is 2.5/4.5. So they maxed it out. My guess is the extra 10g is to take into account the wind widgets you don't need to buy. I, personally, could not care less. I have no plans to change my aerogear. Perfectly content with my maxed Drake.0 -
I saw the sale shortly after it was put into affect due to one of my faction members getting one of the 20 gold Tide Born wings. So I figured I would check the boutique. I'll admit, it was a bit depressing to see the price difference between the Tide Borns wings and all the other flying mounts for sale. I had not even noticed the difference in speed for the Untamed mounts before seeing this post.
However, one thing I did notice that leads me to believe thing are being missed is that if you check the Tide Born's fastest wings on the main page to the boutique (at least on the Dreamweaver server it is like this) the wings are priced at 30 gold. However, if you go under the fly tab to the Tide Born wings, they are 25 gold there.b:shocked Slightly humorous. But at the same time, if I was one of the people buying the wings on sale for a Tide Born, I would be a bit upset if I had tried to save time and not gone to the actual fly tab to purchase them at a $5 less price.0 -

Not really. Barbs/Veno's go faster than any other runner. Best I recall. Your speed is already way faster. Yet the clerics and wizards of the game could then in theory say its not fair for you to get 3.2 mounts when ur base speed is so much faster. Really, barbs have godly HP and fast speed, how many other perks do you guys need? Especially for you to be upset by .2m/s which your base speed more than makes up for?
And on a side note, the 3.2 tideborn wings are ugly. I took a loss on mine just b/c of that reason.0 -

When flying, all classes/races flight speed is based off a 5.0 speed. So a cleric with 3.2 wings is going to fly 8.2, and a veno with 3.0 wings is going to fly 8.0.

New Beast mount is 3.0 - 5.0 Everyone elses' fastes mounts are 3.2 - 6.2. And as stated above, the speed is based on 5.0 start, unaffected by summer sprint, beast transform or anything else that enhances speed except the Genie skill Wind force.0 -

Either way, in the end its just .2 m/s. Its not that big of a difference. And as Astrelle said: we all got repeats, untamed got something new. Really... its not worth the panic.0

Um.... While I understand the complaints... the truth is... none of the mounts/aerogears are worth the price we pay for them. Can you park one in your garage? (all right smarty pants.. stop photoshopping that screenshot and picture of your garage!).
Reality check.. your paying for an un-needed digital item in a game. Looks cool? Heck yeah it does. But the reality check here is this.. if you want 'faster' I suggest buying the faster mount.. if you want the 'cool factor' then buy based on that...
I have two flying mounts. Both I upgraded to 3/6. One is the Redback Skymanta and the other is the Swiftshadow.
I use the Redback in situations where the Swiftshadow's wings and body size make it harder for me to see/target something I am after.
I had thought about buying the Hellfire Drake but decided not to as I really like the look of my Swiftshadow (I have a thing for Raptors). Looked at the Dragonfly and said to myself.. that is a cool looking mount, but it still isn't as tight as my Swiftshadow.
If I had decided it looked cooler than my Swiftshadow.. I would have purchased it regardless of what speed it is. If I want speed, I can switch to a faster mount, if I want looks.... yeah you guessed it. Swiftshadow ftw!
So... tldr: Buy what you think looks nice, who cares how fast it is cause ya don't really need it anyway!
