10 Fundamentals of playing a mage
1 +5 ur weapon at lv 70 and choose shards above flawless( immaculant,perfect, w/e)
2. + ur gear to +4 and socket it to 4 sockets each.
3. place PDEF shards in it bc if u place HP shards in it then ur dumb bc ull have problems with physical classses just owning u.... the only class u would have a prob is a veno with a nix....but that hurts everyclass....
4. get ur genie up to at least lv 60 then put ur SP towards ur skills
5.if u are gonna pk(like i do alot QQ) make sure to bring pk pots(dew of star protection and crab meat are the best combob:laugh) bc i guarentee with gear like that people will have to gank to take u down....even most 9xs..
6. make sure to start saving for your 79 skills early(yes they arent cheap but trust me they are worth it.)
7.make sure to get undine first
8. dont really worry about your 8x gear with the exception of your weapon( i chose the glaive of divinity and if u was smart like i was u woulda got gear that woulda lasted you until ur 9x. ie dark pants of hades, sleeves of the sea captian and many more..... if u are rich enough make sure to get aqaudash bc it can last u until ur 95 then u can get Neon Purgery.
9. at 8x u should be saving for not only your amazing 9x gear(this gear defines the mage and makes them wayy OP if u do it right) but also your skills. Bye the time you get to 8x u should have already decided which section your gonna go to(heaven/hell) im not gonna make any recomendations out of that because ive seen mages that are good on both...(i.e Spirea,Miss_Tika,TheSoup).
10. at 9x u need to be saving for the very few gears u can get at 10x. Rank 8 gear for a mage is..... like Chuck Norris vs a ant. no comparison to the molded 10x gear. try to get it. also at 9x be trying to get ur 10x skill books. i think they are like 40 mil each? at 9x u should have mastered how to make money easy.
and that is pretty much it

ive tried all the possible ways with a wizard on a pvt server
as they always say
experience>theory
dont post anything negative if u havent been there and done that as i have.

Good Luck 4 socing hh90 gear without going broke.
All Pdef is plain stupid, if your smart you will mix them up.

Pdef without HP is still a one shot. But you will want to meet the diminishing returns threshold of 8k pdef, if I rember right.

10x Skills suck, waste of money and time. And LOL @ getting rank8.

If your rich...Theres no way i could socket/refine to this lvl, addmittedly im a free to play player, so im not putting any real money into this game.

Theres no real need to do this level of refining, especially for 7x
This might be my mindset at 9x, but even then il probs only be able to afford flawless shards.

As to your recomendation of phys defence shards...well...

Im not going to do this im going for all Citrines, thats just my personal prefference, this has been argued in many other threads.

This like most of this thread isnt fundamental. Your going to be saving up for future gear all way through, this is just common sence, Same as thinking about sage/demon, think about it but you cant really comment on it untill you are there.

All what you have stated is for 7x- endgame people, on the ussumption that they have lots of money, and everything you say is correct and no one elses oppinion is worthy.
This isnt going to help anyone from a newbie-my lvl-endgame players.

I dont used tt80set at 8x. I dont used pdef shard(i used hp) and higher refined eq than +(except neck).
But with pure mag build i got nearly 7k pdef with buffs and was far cheaper, at 7x kinda money waste the refine, the harder/slower lving starting at 90.
More benefit the refine after 90 if somebody not rich.

Don't listen to the OP of this thread, like Brown said this person is a huge QQer. I was PKing them on an alt archer and every time they'd use what I'm guessing was a morning star of dew and then still die and later brag "what a noob you were only hitting me 400's". Sorry, but you died to 400's.

My stone rain actually hits harder than my sandstorm in a lot of cases too, kinda makes me cry.

yea, i noticed the huge earth element dmg raising only i wondered somebody dont got the demon version SS at lv100.

200% eq+ 4804.0 more balanced than 300%eq +4288.4,this is why i understand this.

Refining to +4 at 70 full set? OH yeah , really? b:irritated

I wasted more than 30 mirs to get to +3 1 piece!!! without dragon orbs. And if you using those to get same result at lvl 70 then : A . You eiher filthy rich B. Incredibly Stupid

As well i join thread about sharding 4 sockets with PH shards that is stupid thing to do unless you really concentrated on Ph.Def and playing LA mage. As well ry to get those 4 socket items 1st especially on lvl 70 you nOOb.

Useless skill at PvE, sophoric much better at least it can save your bottoms.

At lvl70 to do so is pure suicide or you don't have real life. At lvl 70 you can barely afford upgrade for GS from lvl 4 to lvl 5 it will take you at least 4hours non stop grind if you lucky enough since dq drops way crappy for sale.

Dude are you really playing this game or just trolling sh..t out of blue??? Do you know what requires to get rank 8??? Here some intell for your nOObish head.
Rank 8 can be obtained:
a.WITHOUT cash shop items in aprox ~2-3 years of game with insane grind of FB not BH 59+ in addition you must do all quests +One man army+DQ+JOQ+Wanted+WQ(which in very rare occasion gives +5rep )
b. If Cash Shop then ~5000-7000$ real money + Luck.

Yeah, it's really funny. Me and my partner in crime actually killed him about 3 or 4 times. Each time we just watched the other person kill him because its funny as hell to watch him QQ about his death. First time he died "welcome to kos for life", and then finally after the last time he just sat in town and was all "you aren't worth my time i'm going afk".
