DoubleD store chain on Sanctuary has announced its closing! b:cry

Known as one of, if not THE, the longest chain of catshops in Sanctuary history. DoubleD has been known as one of the cheapest, competitive chains that sold fair priced herbs, materials and DQ items. DoubleD always beat the MERCHANT brand.

Is this the beginning of the Sanctuary depression, or just another sign of the current recession not giving way? You decide, this is what DoubleD had to say in world chat:

    Oh wow. I loved this person's shop and I used to buy out the devilwood and many other herbs and I would leave messages saying how much I bought (spent 300k+ on herbs many times).

    I know this person was quite dedicated to the game. This just goes to show how bad it has really gotten. But it doesn't matter to pw since it their income will always be improving. Only solution is to move on to p2p games or ftp games that were never or could never be a p2p game.

    Dynathel or whatever his name was, by the west arch blacksmith seems to have closed down too. Awesome prices on mats, especially for selling, offered 10k+ each for certain mats at one point.

    Now we're with the old collection of mat shop rip offs, with the usual 4k buying price and 15k selling prices. :/

    Ironically that a person who runs shops in larger skales quits because of economical issues and greed... anyway there are enough other greedy catshops to replace that one. Oh yeah almost forgot: It's cheaper to gather the mats yourself - always have been and always will be no matter the mat's prices.

    DD's prices were actually competitive. You're better off doing other tasks for money, then buying herbs instead of farming the herbs yourself.

    It was Daddude's shops? Huh, I guess I owe him an apology, I didnt believe him when he said it was his in fc. b:surrender

    Anyway, it sucks. DD always made competitive prices, and I am not a farmer by any means. It bores the **** out of me, and I could be making some serious ****ing money (insert Butter's reference here) by doing other things.

    Making pots and grabbing mats for wines is gonna suck now b:cry

    OMG this is bad. I used to make lots of money by reselling mats to Dynathel. Also, I used to sell herbs to DDs shops. Much better than selling stuff in AH.

    Any chance you could make a new topic about your shops, where they are and when they are ready? Also, could anyone make a shop for mats in West Arch? With good prices of course. We need somebody to buy mats for high prices.

    Didn't know you were in enely, but like most of us I have sold to you and bought from you before. You were one of the quirks out there that made sanc's community feel special, but I guess sanc becomes more and more a caricature of what it once was.

    Also, I associatte a little with you =\ thats what made me leave PWI.
