Upgraded mounts are in the Swift or Quick categories in the AH.

I remember when Southwest Archosaur was somewhat empty, aside from General Summer's courtyard. I then put up a TT shop there regularly for a few weeks. Now, there are a lot of TT shops in that courtyard.

I think this idea can sort of happen, but it's not enough to get a real performance improvement.
I meant aerocrafts. I tried to put up an upgraded nakirs but it said I couldn't.

I dont really lag that much in west arch. Its usually where I spend my time when I'm not doing my bh. And my comp isn't that great either. Bloody acer.

Thank you all for your added suggestions, but these all involve getting the Devs to make the changes. I'm not sure which will be the harder to accomplish, that or getting a critical mass of shops to set up in the Northwest district of Archosaur. It's daunting to set up shop in that huge open space, especially when no one else is around besides mounts zooming past, but I took the leap. Even sold my TT wares there. Guess what. The flow of shop visits was beyond what I would have guessed and, even better, they bought!

How do we get this to work? It will take time and networking, but as I mentioned above, we have the power to do this. All it takes is getting up the nerve to place your own shop there, giving a few nudges in shop messages, and dragging your friends over to set up there. Once there are enough shops set up consistently it will get the desired amount of traffic to keep more shops coming and staying. Yes, it will take time and persuasion but I do feel for the majority of players who cannot afford to buy a gaming machine and high-speed internet.

But then all the shops will be everywhere. How would we find anything? And if they're in one spot, then we'd lag too much again.

Even I do not have the capacity to dream of the day when the shops will all be in one place. The reason there is so much lag in West Arch is due to the high traffic and massive amounts of cat shops. By dispersing the amount of players (i.e. dailies in West Arch, where we all know they'll stay, and the cat shops just a hop skip and a jump north) there should be less lag in both areas. The catshops are already starting to spread out north and south of the center of west arch anyway. Why don't they just shift into one spot north of west arch where it will make it easier for players to browse? Even if we just took those shops that are hanging around on the fringes out of west arch we may see that needed change. What better place to see them, but in one central area that will not be hindered with lag?

But no one will come unless they NEED to buy something. Sometimes, when I'm just walking around I see a shop which seems to have something I need. And sometimes I just look around for good deals. I found a scarlet fruit for 5k once =) but point is, that there'll be less traffic in those other areas.

Haven't we all heard and seen the trend that most sane ppl only jerk their way through the shops of west district only if they're desperate anyway? Why do you think the shops on the fringes are doing such good business now?

Didn't someone mention a poll? I'd be more than happy to report my findings. I did just as good business in empty Northwest arch as I did under the south archway of west arch and far better than I've ever gotten when I placed myself in the center of west district. I won't mention the amount of times the cat shop crashed their either though. b:surrender

Was it the same item for the same price that you placed? I find putting myself infront of the auctioneer gets me a lot of business.

Same stuff, no cheating here. But don't think I haven't thought of marking off the things I sell in the Northwest district just to get traffic flowing through there. Kinda goes with that boycot theory I heard mentioned before come to think of it. b:quiet

    Change is never easy *period*

This is the point that all lurkers and friends become involved in the cause to clear up West Archosaur lag. Start putting your shops up in the Northwest district of Archosaur, start buy from shops there, post a few messages on the shops in West District, and spread the word that we're starting a new shopping area that will be free of lag. It will take a while, but soon we'll have enough shops set up there it will become a known place to shop. But it takes getting a few set up there first. One by one, person by person, we can make it happen. It just means you have to do it too.

Since it's necroed, I will say, yes this would be very nice as even looking in west Archo's direction causes FPS drop.
I have no issue moving my shopping to north Archo. :3

Simple fact is that people will continue to place their shop in west arch. The only way to fix this fps lag is post on the http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=5182372&posted=1

A petition in the suggestion section to hide shops outside your radius quick button. The more we voice our opinion the bigger chance we have of the devs implementing this feature.

    Thanks

If we spread them out then ppl will have to pick up their CS in west arch, go all the way to north arch to buy their stones (if their lazy b:chuckle), then I dunno go to south arch to buy some clothes? I would rather have them all in one area... not much lag if you put on your best performance btw.

I think the idea is to spread them out a bit and get them to emptier places so that people don't have to get through lag in west every single time just to reach their npc.

How about when you set up a cat shop it gets teleported into a HUGE area filled with other cat shops. And acoring to what you are selling you will be put in a diffrent area. b:laugh
