TW one-sided?

I've recently returned to PWI after a long hiatus and after investigation, I've noticed that most servers have one guild that's dominating territorial wars. Heaven's Tear is the only one that seems to be split up...althought TAO seems to be taking over.

Is there a fighting chance on Heaven's Tear or will it succumb to one guild too? I seek no definitive answers, only opinions from players on Heaven's Tear.

    dont think there will ever be a one faction that would take over as they would get ganked just like old rad did-also because of drama and the balance of high lvl ppl splitted in to several guilds. ppl and small factions now will continue to grow, the old will leave and the new will rise =)

    if you recall correctly this has already went and passed Radiance used to own pretty much all the map until Radiance splintered into other factions that consumed it. I believe so long as there the players that were in Radiance at the time remain on the server this cannot happen. Once they leave its highly likely that that one faction will resume to take over the map until they splinter again and repeat the process.

    I don't think HT will ever be a one-faction server.

    For the simple reason, there are so many capable TW guilds to cause the potential number 1 guild problems. All of them on one guild and land will be gained and lost...

    Well, if you take in consideration most factions are not showing up to avoid wasting charm, its probably gonna be this continuous trading of maps between current lands owners and possible new strong factions.

    Who is this "most factions" guild? And what color are they on the map?

    :o anyways, doubt if we'll see a takeover just yet. I suspect Tao isn't strong enough to take a 3-way gank from the next 3 strongest; and as long as 1 faction can't defend a three-some, we'll have a nice colorful map.

    We had 8 territory wars this weekend. all 7 other guilds (we fought Belial twice and they showed up both times) showed up...

    I believe the main difference for HT is the large population of high level characters, hence lots of competition at the top.
    Whether this is still the case is questionable. I think a lot of the high levels have left in the last month or two.
    With fewer high levels there is a tendancy for them to group up into the one guild as we have seen on other servers.

    Don't believe it will ever be 1 guild due to the fact that there are to many high level people on the server which makes up more then 80 members. Unless you were to break the guild in many factions but then you come to an intertermoil of wanting power and the second half fighting against the other half. Gl on HT ever being one color TW map. Don't expect it to ever happen and i will be there when it does, if it ever does i will aim to bring a new uprising against it. Competition is that aim of all TW factions. Everyone just wants a good fight and to have fun. Ill be glad when this month is over so i can return to doing my TWage.

    While thats my goal in being in a good TW faction, this is not shared by all. There's quite a few who's number 1 goal is to own the map & have wealth & even want to frighten & eliminate the competition.     Yes this is true but where that stands 200 people can't defend against 600+ that want otherwise. There will always be a powerstruggle. Regardless if there is a whole group aiming to grab the whole map. There will be another Group wanting the same thing then people like you and I just wanting good fun in TW. On top of that a faction wanting to own the whole map also won't do alliances and such because that will defeat the purpose. (not a true alliance anyway) Only a strategic alliance to buy time to build land and eventually go against their allies. As time progresses more and more people reach level 100 and closer to level cap. As this happens the TW factions become more and more balanced. Eventually i see it being a rainbow TW map of a constant struggle for land.

    Problem is you're quoting the history of HT server. However our server, so far is far from the norm. And eventually it is bound to fall into the trap, historically speaking, that every server finds themself in. All 4 other servers have 1 dominant guild, even PW-MY have had very long time dominant guilds. Honestly i dont know exactly what happened in Radiance that made them break, but thats the ONLY reason we dont have an entirely orange map now. All the other servers basically didnt have their dominant guild break. Unless Tao experiences another Radiance meltdown, they're unfortunately heading the way of the map takeover similar to just about every other PW server.

    The reason being that almost all guilds look at self-preservation 1st. None want to be the next target. Noone is going to gank Tao unless some weakness on Tao's part is shown to make people believe that attacking them isnt futile. And while yes they cant hold out against the next top 3 attacking them every week, those 3 would have to be in the same time slot. But if 3 big guilds all attack the same other guild, then every other vulture guild jumps in to mess with the time slotting. Effectively this ruins a high powered gank on the strongest guild.

    I doubt Warlord would have continued to dominate the map if Oracle was PVE.

    Yes your right about radiance but times have changed and one of the biggest factors now is new lunar added to boost tons of characters as well as level average on the server is alot higher in the TW factions. I expect to see it come to be a very balanced playing field. You don't have to agree just what i see. When Tao is 3way ganked expect them to QQ and complain, and ask for 1vrs1's when they start losing land.

    Lunar bows just help Tao more cuz of their fricken cash shoppers.

    Also HT is full of drama. Splits are going to happen.

    As for breaking up Radiance, it was going to happen. Radiance used to win by brute force a lone. When you get higher up in levels and the difference in levels becomes smaller, guilds with better PK experience such as RoC and subsequently Enrage would have broken it up. Radiance splitting up (and not to mention joining Enrage) definitely sped up the process; no one can deny that, but it was going to happen.

    But now levels are evening out and Tao is proving to be the richer guild. It's not easy to fight them, but my faith in HT says that some drama is going to happen because as much as I hate QQers, HT is full of them.

    Well can't really bish about cash shopping its a Tool that is there to be used and well if Tao members can fork out the doe then they get the loot. Fact remains that when and if drama occurs and members leave they lose out on the buffed cash shoppers who might end up leaving. Loyalty is a trait you can't cash shop. Id personally rather have a Loyal player then a Buffed Cash Shopper.

    We were killing Enrage before the anniv packs came out. Them and a.ion just made 'em weaker. I'll admit we have a few big spenders, but the fact is we're based on helpfulness and loyalty, not hate.

    Now think of who Enrage lost.
    HT clerics at their finest:

    hari: can you do mdef debuffs? makes the fight go faster
    naughty_x: waste, I do more damage without them

    None of our officers have been in Enrage as far as I know of. Most of our officers comes from Evolution back in the DrPepper days. So that is nonsense.
    We got a few from Enrage, and Enrage got a few from Tao.. But none of them are officers.. sadpuma was old Evo, went to Tao and are now Enrage Director, so I think its the other way around :)
