There was someone on World Chat claiming be the leader of the Assault guild. What he was saying wasn't particularly nice and he was annoying a lot of people. I won't name names as I have seen this done in other threads and it is frowned upon however I didn't want the good name of Assault tarnished in anyway.

As a member of Assault I wanted to put the record straight and say that he is not the leader. The person in question signed up the guild name using an I to be the L or something similar. I have no idea why they would do this. My only thought would be that it was a tactic by another guild to attempt to slow our increasing Assault (Pun intended) on the TW map.

In short, Assault are in no way associated with this person and are continuing to grow and recruit as before. b:kiss

    I sincerely hope that matter shall get sorted out somehow.
    Really don't like posing guilds ruining on good names of other guilds.

    In other games i played, that kind of abuse would be grounds for an IP ban. Try sending tickets with any SS of the incident and im sure the joker will be taken care of.

    Definitely send us screenshots so we can look into this. Defamation and guild harassment are definitely not something we encourage.

    Thanks spoons. I have raised a ticket with a screenshot of him confirming that he is is the leader of the TW faction Assault which I hope should be enough.

    Well technically he is the guild leader....

    He is using an i instead of an l in Assault. So he is the the leader of Assauit but is misleading people to believe he is the leader of Assault.

    He was calling names of everyone names (including myself). Funny at first, but it got old pretty quick when he just never stopped....

    same thing happen when triad was going big the I and L thing kinda nseds to be fix any 1 can make a copy cat of some 1 and make the "real" person look bad

    Doubt they will ever fix the I/l thing, as it is a wedding money draw. Allows for ****/**** weddings as long as they are willing to pay for double marriage packs. Not only would that make future marriages of this type harder, but would really inflame alot of ppl who already did this to have the illusion of their partners name above their head.

    never thought of it that way there has to be some way tho to make it so the i and L don't get mixed up

    All they have to do is change the font to a serif instead of sans-serif font... problem solved.

    Modifying the game files is a bannable action. Besides, plenty of the LGBT community in this game just does xxxx_ marries yyyy and xxxx marries yyyy_

    No my point was ****/**** weddings rely on the fact that I & l DO get mixed up. Since we cant name people specifically, i'll use generic names. Say both 'player1' & 'player2' are female characters, but they'd like to marry. The each make a male alt, 'pIayer1' & 'pIayer2' and level them to 20 (minimum marrying level). now, 'player1' marries 'pIayer2', & then 'player2' marries 'pIayer1'. Because of the fact that I & l are confused, these two people, altho having to had pay for twice as many packs, player1 appears to have player2's name & vice-versa.

    If the Devs suddenly changed the font, the great number of marriages depending on this would now appear to have highly bastardized names above their heads, where they didnt used to. Maybe if the font change came with some divorces & new wedding packs, they could redo the marriages with 'player1_' & 'player2_' alts. But for now its too late, and too many people who either actually spent at the cash shop, or directly added demand for others to spend (and then bought in game), would now be outraged.

    Basically, its too late to make it so they cant be confused, as many have utilized the interchangeability of l & I in positive ways as well.

    oooh i see =\ hmm so the best bet for any 1 is to make a alt with the I and L so they know that no 1 else can do that

    I also saw the said name person talking on World Chat and in Western District. I for one think he's one cool guy. But I don't know that's just me.

    One cool guy? Why would you say that when YOU have started a faction which is blatantly ripping off a more popular one and then bad mouthing them in world chat?

    Incidently I am pleased you decided to post on here because I am still not mentioning any names but have dropped a rather large hint above.

    I would be intrested to hear your comments, as would the GM's I guess.

    You are right Sadpuma and to be honest we were all have a good laugh about it in guild chat when it happened but as mentioned earlier, it fails to be funny when it is relentless and other people start to get offended by it.
