Patch help!

As there seems to be a problem with the downloading of the manual patch here the tasks.data and element.data.

After downloading it please go to

C: Programfiles/PerfectWorldEntertainment/PerfectWorldInternational/element/data

In there just delete the old tasks.data and element.data and replace it with the new files.

WARNING
This is not the full patch after you have incoorporated these two files into the gamefiles please run the normal patch still, the files I uploaded are those which give most people problems. If you still have a problem please close the patch and launcher then restart everything.

P.S.: I am downloading the manual patch but like for many others it is very slow for me. Please be patient I will keep trying.

    So we run the autopatcher after that?

    I havent tried it, but I'm guessing yes.

    These two files are usually the places where the auto-patching gets stuck. The files Aryan has uploaded are the ones she got after her auto-patch update (aka latest).

    Running auto patch after maunally copying these files will update all the other files to the latest as well.

    I'll need to wait another couple of hours till i get back home from work to try this out...

    MorgulLord is correct. These are the files which gives most people problems so hopefully it will help you get through the autopatch. 8 hours 13 minutes remaining on manual patch download. b:shutup

    Something tells me the manual patch file is corrupt (8 hours for 21 MB is ridiculous even for dial-up). Not only does it show the absurd 8 hours to download time, it also stops downloading after a few KBs.

    I'd rather get someone from PWI to re-upload the manual patch than keep trying, cause you'll prolly end up with the same result.

    Yes something seems to be wrong. Unfortuanetly the GM's are currently asleep and just like you I do not have access to the manual any other way. b:surrender

    Hopefully the uploads I did will help at least some people.

    P.S.: I have a router and my computer is directly connected to it. Normally downloads are quite fast. The autopatch worked very well just the manual is not really working. And I have restarted everything including my router just to be sure.

    Its not really your internet, trust me. I'm sitting at work, with a high speed net connection. 21 MB should happen in under a minute generally for me. But this one gives me a speed of 565 KB /swt.

    Anyway, your method seems to work just fine. Thank you for the effort. ^_^

    Yes something is not right. I just tried downloading the 1-51 manual patch instead and now can not connect to the manual patch servers at all.

    i have tried this, i got both the patches that you said and replaced the existing ones and nothing has changed b:cry know anything else that i can do?

    i cannot manual patch because my internet asys error with page and will not load it, thanks for the help

    I am sorry everyone but something is currently wrong with the patchservers I am ingame and am trying to get a GM to help but those are not the forum GM's who normally do this so I am not sure what to do.

    Given that the patch server is always overloaded on patch days (and it might be my imagination, but I get more lag in-game even on these days), would it not be a viable alternative to also host the patches on public file download sites, as is the case with the main client?

    Normally that is done by myself. I download and then upload the patch here. This time even I can not get the manual patch to download as something is wrong with the server and as I do not work for PWE I can not go to there offices and make sure it comes back up. (I live in the UK so very impractical to do that!)

    for me i had to use launcher.exe not patcher.exe for the update to start, thanks for the helpb:kiss

    Well that proves it the autopatcher still works just not the manual patcher. But brb I need food! >.<

    Mine got froze(actually the bar was filling but the update wasn't continuing)for about half an hour.I exited and relaunched the patcher to continue,and now it's almost done...98%.
    It's not that I'm anti-social.I just don't like you.

    OK- maybe I just got lucky, but connected to manual patch server - not by spamming it, but simply by trying once or twice every 10mins... connection/download seems stable and good. Download completed and patch worked!

    i've noticed that a ton of ppl has been getting issues from the patch server.

    i just uploaded the 47-51 at megaupload: Patch 47-51

    please remember to scan any files that you download that's not from here.b:bye
