PKing in Secret Passage

A lot of people get upset when the get pked in secret passage. I was wondering if there is any rules against pking in SP since Lost city is PVP server.

In PvP server, there are no rules anywhere. That is why it is a PvP server...0

Maybe PWE should just turn all the PVP servers into PVE servers so we do not have to read all the posts about unfair pvp or noob camping....Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Yes there are rules about pking in areas that impede lower levels to complete their quests. If somebody pks in SP just take a ScreenShot of it and send it to pwi.It's too bad but "free to play, pay to win"-sckye
These "updates" are seeming more and more like downgrades.

Don't say that, deep inside they all want to be like us on PVE servers

So wait... Now it'S a bannable offense to kill a lower player when he is doing a quest? What kind of **** PvP rule is that?
Can we get a confirmation of a GM on this one?
Or is this just a made up rule by a handful of players?
Now don't get me wrong, killing a lower level while he is questing is definatly evil, but last time I checked, this is part of the PvP fun isn't it?
PS: I'm also just talking about 1 guy killing another guy once. I'm not talking about harrassing another player and killing him 20 times in a row...0 -
It's bannable if you constatly kill them over and over stoping them for questing/leveling. And yes it has happened in harshland one to many times.So wait... Now it'S a bannable offense to kill a lower player when he is doing a quest? What kind of **** PvP rule is that?

PWE really should make all the servers PVE, and once you got to level 80+, than you would have an option to go to a PVP server.....Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Yes. I was banned for standing next to someone who was griefing people in SP. (Don't close thread or anything GM...just adding input lol) So yeah, figure that one out.0 -

If you read the comments "they" want to grind/level/quest in peace.. which is what PVE servers lets you do....
Your level would be high enough to not get affected by the a one character level minimun before being allowed to join a pvp server :PToo often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. GM’s raged on Harshlands month or so ago and basically said if you PK in secret passage you will be banned. After like 100 world shouts of people saying “Yes, no pking on a PvP server” they came up with a bs answer something along this lines
Its agenst the rules to pk players who are on vital Quests over and over, this is considered harassment. And ofc it was followed up with more wcs.
Bottom line, unless you can find an active GM online whose also pee’d off, there’s nothing you can do about it and submitting tickets don’t work too, believe me if people actually submit one when they say, I’ve had 50+ filed agenst me o.-0 -

The best solution: Put a warning after selecting server.
"Are you sure you want to join the selected PvE/PvP server?" And maybe a link to the basic information about since which level you can PK/get PK'ed and such, for those who do not learn about the game before clicking buttons and join it.
Since some people just go ahead and click whatever and then come here to complain. I did that myself, but never complained about it, always got PK'ed constantly and stuff, good ol' days. Those were the days, people. Now game is kind of dull and has driven me to run HH's, do quests and dailies all day long.0 -

Yups..... All people had to do was check the boards before joining a server and they would figure it out.. but I guess it was too much trouble for them.

This is why I don't roll Pvp. Just think, if someone was out questing; and those "high players" rolled on up. 30 of them over the span of 40 minutes, to teach that lowbie how its done. Even tho not one person constantly griefed a player over and over again. 30 people constantly griefed a player, over and over again. Therefore majorly affecting a persons game play. Yea its fun, I'm sure; for the one who is lvl 80 smacking a lvl 30. But that level 30 is seriously being mistreated. Pvp isn't about a lvl 80 beating down a lvl 30. It is about (and should be about) taking aggression out on ppl who tick you off. You then have a way to take out your frustrations. Also is about people who want to fight others on an even playing field. To see who not only knows how to play their character, but also knows the best way to defeat an opponent.
Why do you think they came up with gear shatter? It wasn't b/c the Pvp system was awesome, perfect, magnificent. Its because it had flaws like that, and they came up with a way to try to deter high lvls from being bullies.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

An option? That's technically what a PvE server is. In a PvE server you have the option to go into PvP mode and from there you get to fight and PK against other confident, prepared, willing fighters. Most high level areas or major towns will have players in PvP mode. PvE servers have no rules against PK'ing others, you want to pk, just click that PvP mode button and fire away.
In a PvP server, the only real difference is you get to hunt down lowbies, bully the weak, make others miserable and pick fights you know you can win. It's human nature I guess. Some ppl are into that sort of thing and that's why pvp servers exist.
It just makes me lol when PvP players try to justify ganking n00bs and picking on them as valient and impressive.0 -
PvE server can't have as good of a PvP fight as obviously a PvP server. Only time you can get 'em on a PvE server is TW. It's just not about ganking noobs, it's more about "Can have faction fights whenever....can kill someone who's taking your mobs....can help out a lowbie who's being attacked by a higher level" etc etc etc.0

I always knew that harassing people less than half one’s level was a reportable offence…. Sorta, opinions always come into play when there is punishment. Never reported someone for it, but did have trouble with it… I manage not to **** people off enough to get hunted.
There are some rules to PvP both written, unwritten and common sense, not allowing a player or players to level up and actually play the game or impeding them is equal to harassment and depending on who’s in a mood that day; can get people nailed. Punishment in the area is solely dependent on who is feeling what, though. (That’s what I’ve learned from all my internet travels.)0 -
I can confirm the whole "banned for PKing in SP" stuff, Harshlands is pretty notorious for it.
Ascii's already posted about it, and he's pretty much the authority on SP PK.
On a side note, it's gotten so bad in SP that when I killed a red-name that was around my level in there, he said "i submit ticket an u get bant lol."

Now I realize it probably won't happen, but the fact that it's gotten to the point where anytime you kill someone, you have to immediately worry about getting banned for it is bull****. It's much easier to just not PK. That's part of the reason Harshlands is dead.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Should be some function in the game that stops people from attacking other people more than 10 lvls lower than themselfs. Unless the low-lvl attack you first that is. Just a thought... No, it's not bannable for pking somebody doing a quest, because it's impossible to tell when people are questing or simply wandering around. But when people camp in SP killing everything that comes in. It makes it impossible for the lowers to finish their quest. That is the illegal part. Simply killing someone while doing a quest is just random pk, but camping in a known questing spot and not allowing people to pass is illegal.

So if the whole problem with PvP is high levels making life miserable for the lowbies, why can't the devs just make it so that you can't attack a player half your lvl or lower? And I don't mean a "rule" that can be broken, I mean code it into the game. That would solve the problem of all the level 80+ camping SP.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
