    It can get you banned or a warning.

    Well looking through the forums, I've found people saying it is bannable to change the text colour in game, and those saying it isn't. I've found threads of people complaining that they have been banned for such a minor offence, and ones with GMs saying that they don't ban accounts for such things. So personally, I'd err on the side of caution and not play with the text colour.

    It just doesn't make any sense why changing text color would be bannable. It is not like hacking or botting, and furthermore, it's described in forum and at least one of the GMs already confirmed that it's not bannable.

    Only way I could imagine they might ban you for changing the colour of your text in game would be if you were using the same shade of red as the GM's trying to impersonate staff.

    To elaborate on Xarfox's post about this. Writing in colored text is not bannable unless it is used to impersonate PWE staff or violate any other rules laid out in the Terms of Service. Normal chat rules still apply as well

    i second this, and to elaborate, can people please explain a way to type it in-game, so we don't have to use this epically lame 'copy-paste' every time b:infuriated

    It is not bannable since you are not modifying any of the game files. Pretty straight forward.

    If you impersonate a GM with any colour of text from yellow to purple it does not matter, the bannable part of the issue is the impersonation not the colouring of your text.

    The only way I've found to do it is the copy-paste the code..since I can't type the symbol at the beginning ><

    I know there is a way to do it but if memory serves me right you have to (40 steps later and various other programs later) and there you go....or you can copy an paste from a list.

    It might not be the best idea to use it in world chat though. Once there was someone on Sanctuary using it to sell things, and then there was an announcement that said to reserve blue text for faction chat and green for squad. They didn't get muted for it though, because they used a tele to apologize for it afterwards. b:chuckle

    If Xarfox and Spoons says it's ok, then it is ok. b:victory

    If you've been muted or banned by a GM for using it for suitable and appropiate use, then I would ticket the issue to support if I were you.

    Uhum u arnt the 1st person on DW to use colored text. I've seen it around since the beginning of the server. Rarely but still been around. Also if u have been around since this server started u think u would know that??? b:puzzled
