Can something be done about NPC blocking?

Several times I've seen people so close to an NPC that I had to look all over it to find a hole so I could click on it. But today I saw this person who somehow managed to block the West District's merchant completely. I couldn't click on him at all.
Is there a way small invisible barriers could be put around NPCs so that no one could be this absurdly close?

Hold "shift" and put cursor over NPC. then left-click on NPC. Problem solved.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Get off your mount. I don't *care* if you have to "level it up". Do that somewhere else.
If you are infront of a NPC manufacturing, get off your mount. You're blocking everyone else use of the game.
If you're at the jewelcraftsman combining eleventy-million gems together, get off your mount.
If you need to stand somewhere on your $30 mount to show it off, do it 20 feet way from the Banker. Get off your mount.
The only player that has any reason to have something BIG out while at an NPC is at the Pet Skills Trainer.
My wish list has a 120 second timer that PK's you if you stay on your mount within 50 feet of a NPC in any safe zone.
Unitl that happens, I'll just have to settle for abusing people that park their israfel on the Banker, and leaving rude notes at kitty-shops parked on top of Tu Jo.

I've never had a problem with clicking Shift and through to the NPC - sure, it must be harder to someone new who doesn't know the NPC location as well as I might, for example but that's why the NPCs are marked on the minimap

This would fall under the first rule of MMO's. No one cares about you they only care about them selves. Once you get use to that fact makes the soloing class's much more appealing.0
