I help my friends. I have a Res 9 cleric positioned with my wizard friend and another Res 10 cleric whom I use anytime I can.

Sometimes I'm grumpy and don't want to help, but then I think of all the times my angels ran out and I had a ressurect

When did clerics have to help people fix their mistakes? Having a cleric is luxury not a necessity. I'll only rez if I was grinding nearby or else you can wait the next 20mins asking for a rez. I find people are so bad at math. Waiting 10-20mins to be rezzed for your lousy 2% (usually those under lvl 70), you could have gotten all that back if you grinded with some change.

It seems guilds are very persuasive at making clerics fly half way across the world for a rez. Not realizing that we have quest and grinding of our own to complete, next time carry an angel with you especially if you know your going to quest or grind!

here's my policy:
I dont fly accross the map - period. nevernevernever ever
If I'm asked by somebody close by:

If they were polite - i revive them. That means - "can you please revive me?"
If they were not polite - i say 10k, if they agree I revive them, if either dont reply or send abuse then im quite sure you guessed i left them dead.

I consider "res pls" to be impolite.

Same with buffs, if somebody i dont know just says "buffs"
I happily do all the squad buffs just to let the random player (who is not in my squad) that i have all level 10 buffs, however they arent getting any (simply for being impolite)

if somebody says "can you buff me please"
I invite them to a squad, just so that they can have level 10 buffs for an hour instead of just half an hour.

I think that's fair =O

I had friends of mine fly / teleport across the map because I went dancing with the Harpy Wraith with no angels (accidental but what the hey). He refused reinbursement for his tele fees, nevermind anything else (Laci, you're a sweetheart for that). I try to model myself on him and use the cleric abilities I have to help my friends. They'd help me in a heartbeat, so why not?

If you're on my friends list and you have talked to me before today, I do rez across the map or come on an fb or fly in to buff you. This way I never have to spam to get a group to kill a Boss or do an FB I always have people willing to help me out.
I also rez if you're near by, even if you didn't ask for it I rez just because I can. I also randomly buff people if they have no buffs on.
There have been times when someone asked me in to go rez their friend and I did fly from Arch with them to wherever their friend is.
I think rez is a great skill, and may be I'm so used to my old game GW where there were several revive skills and everyone, and I mean everyone had one and had to bring one on any run with others ( people would be dropped from party's if they were missing their rez )

Also there might be a small part of me that feels some satisfaction that now they "owe you one" for flying so far.

Yey rez everyone be nice make someone's day and you'll feel good (:

yeah on my healer ive been asked a few times one in like a high lvl place xD but that why i stay with ppl who cant heal xDb:chuckle...well some times i play her to heal ppl for fun on LC ahhhhh pk :3b:shyb:flower

Personally, I think asking a cleric to fly across the map to ressurect you is one of the most selfish things to request. It never fails to appall me when a guild member asks a cleric guildmate to do this. I can understand asking of a cleric is nearby, but across the map? I am very surprised that so many clerics indulge such unreasonable requests.

I remember the first time something like this sort of happened. A cleric was asking for help with a mini-boss in the Swamps. I had just soloed it earlier, so I offered to help her.

Afterwards, we added each other to our Friend's List and departed ways. After some time, I died right outside of Whetstone Keep. The following conversation ensued:

Me: Do you happen to be in the swamps, still?
Cleric: What do you need?
Me: Oh, I need assistance reincarnating.
Cleric: Oh, dear! I'll come now.
Me: Where are you?
Cleric: Arch.
Me: What?! There's no need for you come here.
Cleric: No, it's okay!

[Repeat the last two lines 4 times with various rephrasings.]

Me: Seriously, I'd rather go to town than make you fly here.
Cleric: It's fine. I fly across the map and do this for friends all the time.
Me: Wait, what? People actually ask you to do this? You need new friends.

It was at this point I was able to find a nearby cleric to ressurect me. My cleric friend had flown halfway toward the swamps. I felt so bad having made her waste her time.

that part about some1 leaving because they didnt get a rez is funny. ive been asked to fly across the map, ive even asked a cleric friend to do it for me. heres the answer that works "sorry im on the other side of the map and im grinding with a exp scroll" or "sorry im on the other side of the map and im doing a timed quest" always works, or even "im in/on TT;FB;Wq" that works to. from the post above, ya i always ask guild first if theres any cleric on, chances r in mine im the only one on XD. and if there is, i dont make them fly from misfortune to to sumor camp, or arch to swamp, its just plain stupid

I'm an evil cleric. I never beleived in asking the poor clerics fly all the way over the map as a venomancer just to revive my sorry butt so I can continue with MY levelling.
I get really testy with my guild mates who do it aswell, clerics aren't here to serve us to our every whim. They need to level and grind too.

If anyone dares ask me for revives in burningheart and i'm in dreaming cloud they've got another thing coming. I may be a support but i'm not a slave. If they died, it's not my problem. During the time they lay dead crying for a revive they could've respawned and regained the exp they lost. If not, (level 70+) why the hell aren't they using guardian angels.
