Character to different server transfer

YES i would want this idea to be implemented. actually i sent a ticket to those guys about this same thing a few months back but got no reply. there should be a one time swich for the older players. of couse there should be some restictions and even penaltiies for doing so.

1 you can only swich to the same kind of sever (PVP or PVE) it would suck for ppl to move from pve to pvp.


perhaps a penalty of having some of your items taken would be ok.



i have a new computer that is well beyond the requirements for this game yet even when i turn the performance all the way down i sometimes get some uber lag. as stated the eastern severs should have been up from day one. they put them in sometime afterward now ppl who live in the east are stuck with west accounts that's just not right.

Well I agree that Server Transfers should be permitted. As to those who decided to fresh start that's your prerogative. Remember the Events and Lag issues. No ones saying you can't transfer your old char to the new server.

I agree with the guidelines that PVP to PVP and PVE to PVE.. But I don't see anything wrong with a PVP'er switching to PVE. (After all you did choose your game play type Then again an Extra charge with higher restrictions for changing game play might be in order).

As to the no PVE to PVP I understand that misery loves company so I see that perspective. [sarcasim]After all those PVE'ers would never understand the fear of going to SP where high levels get their insecurities proven (picking on lowbies). And heaven forbid they'd been able to level in a not so harsh environment.[/sarcasim] Although once again I'm stoutly opposed to PVP in an RPG. Unless it's logical WoW's system made sense opposing factions... Having Faction Wars allowing pvp between officially declared opponents sure. Having bounties sure... But honestly hero's killing each other? What kind of sick books/shows do you people read/watch? For me Duels are OK they're at least an Honorable form of combat. Designated Battles (TW's) sure but walking out of town and being assailed by fellow RPG'ers doesn't make sense. But hey to each their own.

I think that their Top 3 should be allowed to be transferred at the same time.
I agree with the 15-30 Gold range... For a transfer because to be 100% honest it would take almost 0 time to actually do it. This could be a simple automatic thing. As to the leaving of faction first for those of us who understand the computing/coding side we know that it's simple to ignore certain fields of data that would be one of them.

As to the people who think it'd be some real extra coding to add a special timer to when you can participate in TW. That's an easy fix as well. The timer already exists it's not that hard to add +672 min to it. Giving them a month and 3 days if they switch factions during their countdown it resets.


And I'm assuming some of these people don't understand game economies very well because by the end of 6 months it'd be a trickle of water for people to come over. What I don't want is the Real $ and Time I spent to be lost for a chance to have event's at a better time for me. (This is why I've not transferred).

I would suggest limiting transfer to characters up to level 30-40, and no items/gold could be transferred. The gear you had on would be binded to your character and the gold would be limited to 100k.

That would not impact the economy, it would aloow people that rolled the wrong server to move (pvp - pve - pvp) and it would not unbalance player power.

no. because where pk is enabled everywhere it's harder to level. the ability of dying every second you're outside of a safe zone. leveling is harder.

in a pve server, you can sit around and ks, kill alllll day, and hell. you can even jump on wc and trash talk about that other guy that was ksing you.

people would level on a pve server then transer to a pvp server where they'll already have the levels and already have the gears.

if the transfer would happen, it should be pve:pve, pvp:pvp.

Take a look at Jade Dynasty. It has pk and pve realms and players can swap between them at will. It works just fine. Even pkers grind in pve realms.

That's not even cool dude. Think of us. The noobs that picked a random server without reading anything. There is no where in the game that says harshlands is a pvp server. Yes that is the one my char is one. I have no dream of going into pvp. So there should be an option for people like us to switch. I'm full on pve I didn't even find out harshlands was a pvp till I hit lvl 38 which I am now. Why should they make us start over? It is a veno and I have a nix. So why should we be forced to start over? I mean look at all the cash I have spent. Why would I want to start over. If not. They should let us try to explain ourselves. So we can get a server switch.
