I love wizards

I like wizzies cause they make my hand shiny-blue^^.

anyways, mages aren't hard to level. pve is a joke for mages.

Actually pve is not so great for wizards either. Thanks to our damage being in bursts instead of a little bit over time (like archers) we will always take the same amount of time to kill a mob even if we are 9 lvls higher. An example is lvl 88 ultrafin supremes. I am lvl 89 now and they still need 3 shots to kill, pitfal, sandstorm, and stone rain. When I was lvl 80 they took pitfal, sandstorm, and stone rain as well.

For a archer the little differences in damage make a difference in grind speed. When a archer hits 85 plus they kill fish a lot faster than a mage, however at lvl 80 a mage will kill fish faster than a 80 archer.


All in all mages are decent in pve.

And -20% channeling isn't going to make all that much of a difference. I have -9 and I hardly feel anything. Casting time is still long.

my major argument is the ability to never get touched. we never need to heal, unless you some how pull 3+ mobs. but even then, a well timed mountain press will stun everything within 12 meters for 6 seconds.

channeling for a mage is useless......

for instance say you get high channeling and you use a stone rain than a sandstorm to kill a fish. Guess what, your stone rain is still on cooldown (for the last hit)making your channeling completely and utterly useless for fish grind, since you need to wait for cooldown anyway.

There is a reason all high mages go for crit and not channel. Leave the channeling gear for the HH venos.

Also channeling gear at high level can hurt the defences you get from ornaments as well. Like the lvl 90 or 87 hp neck, and a good pys def belt.

Ahh, makes sense now.. you must be in a pve server, where you can grind for 8 hours without getting pked.....

and the fish example i used was just one instance. If you used a common pyrogram/gush combo (with 20% channeling) you would also have to wait for cooldown as well making your channeling USELESS
