These are the Challenge Quests for levels 50-59.

The current version of this guide: 2.0

Challenge Quests for dungeon Frostcovered Lands [FB49-51]



Wait until level 51 to do the FB so that you can obtain all of the necessary quests.

For the FB [49-51]:
There are several quests both challenge and general that require bosses to be killed within the FB in order to complete. It is highly recommended to obtain these quests so that you can finish them all in one run rather than having to do multiple runs.

1. Take the level 51 quest "The Scepter". [Starting NPC: Count Misfortune (665, 968) City of Misfortune]

2. Complete "The Scepter" up to the sub-quest "The Book" where it requires you to obtain 1 Esoterica of Misfortune.This is a drop from the Myriadtail Wyvern, a boss in the FB.

3. Take the level 50 challenge quest "Sign of the Talon" [Starting NPC: Talon Member Chao (284, 566) Dragon's End.]

-The drops required here come from normal mobs within the FB.

4. Take the level 51 challenge quest "Avenger's Fury". [Starting NPC: Talon Member Chao (284, 566) Dragon's End.]

5. After defeating the first two bosses within the FB, leave once (Leave the party there to keep the instance). Obtain the quests "Call of Duty: Wraithbeast (2)" AND "Powerful Lord".

-Call of Duty is for the party's Exp. Powerful Lord is the challenge quest for the final boss of the FB.




Level 50 Challenge Quest: Sign of the Talon

1. Speak to Talon Member Chao (284, 566) Dragon's End

-Collect 8 Windrider's Seal (Quest drop from Mistrealm Terrawraith Magus, located within
Lands [FB49-51])
-Collect 8 Talonwing Stamp (Quest drop from Feligar Mistrealm Striker, located within Frostcovered Lands [FB49-51])
-Collect 8 Talon Token (Quest drop from Hexocelot Mistrealm Warrior, located within Frostcovered Lands [FB49-51])

2. Report to Talon Member Chao (284, 566) Dragon's End

-Celestone of Heaven/Human/Hell or Celestone Fragment: 1 (Random)
-Reward (Coin: 7200 Exp: 12000 SP: 2800 Rep: 15)

Level 51 Challenge Quest: Call of Duty: Wraithbeast
1. Speak to Talon Member Chao (284, 566) Dragon's End
-Obtain 2 Call of Duty: Wraithbeast

Level 51 Challenge Quest: Avenger's Fury

Level 51 Challenge Quest: Powerful Lord
-Continued on from quest "Avenger's Fury"

-Kill 1 Myriadtail Wyvern (Located in the Frostcovered Lands [FB49-51])
[Level 54]Fire Element BOSS. Long range Magic attack, physical attack, AoE
-Note: Distance of AoE is approximately 24meters. A maxed out heal or Venomancer spells are effectively outside of that range

1. Report to Talon Member Chao (384, 566) Dragon's End
Choose one:

-Heavy Helm of Xanadu + Scarlet Fruit: 1
-Xanadu Hat + Scarlet Fruit: 1
-Reward (Rep: 24)

"Wrath of the Ancient Gods" Challenge Quests

Level 50 Challenge Quest: The Twin Towers

Recommended for people with partners: Take opposite towers so that you can combine your fire and water orbs that you get later. (Each tower results in only one: You cannot get the other orb without trading/buying it from another player)

1. Speak to the Elder of Archosaur (570, 648) Archosaur, East
2. Investigate either the Veiled tower or the Tower of Darkness

Choice 1: Veiled Tower (530, 966)
-Obtain 1 Phanstimor Stone (Item is automatically obtained once one enters the area.)

Choice 2: Tower of Darkness (568, 928)
-Obtain 1 Chaos Stone (Item is automatically obtained once one enters the area.)

Note that you can only choose one path or the other. Also note that although the eventual quest rewards are the same, the two paths lead to two slightly different story lines.

3. If you picked Choice 1: Continue on to quest "Phanstimor Seal (Route A)". If you chose Choice 2, continue on to quest "Chaos Seal (Route B)."

Phanstimor Seal (Route A)
-Continued on from "Mysterious Twin Towers, Choice 1"

1. Use the Phanstimor Stone (Open inventory, Right-click it) to activate the quest.
2. Pop-up message.
3.. Investigate around the Veiled Tower [531, 966 ↑37]. Quest will auto-trigger.
4. Continue on to either quest "Phantismor (Route A-1)" or "Phantismor (Route A-2)"

IMPORTANT!! ROUTE A-1 with the choice "I don't think there's any reason for me to follow you." will lead to 30 Rep, then a level 80 Challenge Quest. Route A-2 will give 16000 SP on the spot but you will not be able to do the level 80 Challenge quest. The Level 80 Challenge quest gives (Coin: 320 Exp: 22080 SP: 9163 Rep: 16). Choose wisely.

Phantismor (Route A-1)
-Continued on from "Phanstimor Seal (Route A)"

1. Investigate the Phanstimor Seal (531, 966 ↑37) (Click it to talk to it)
2. Select the choice "I don't think there's any reason for me to follow you."
3. Report to the Elder of Archosaur (570, 648) Archosaur, East
4. Continue on to quest "Celestial Elder"

Phantismor (Route A-2)
-Continued on from "Phanstimor Seal (Route A)"

1. Investigate the Phanstimor Seal (531, 966 ↑37) (Click it to talk to it)
2. Select the choice "Stronger power? What power can you give me?"
3. Investigate around the Volcanic Purgatory (444, 970 ↑60)
-Obtain 1 Crystalline Magmite (Farmable from [444, 970 ↑60])
4. Investigate the Phanstimor Seal (531, 966 ↑37)
-Reward (SP: 16000)


Chaos Seal (Route B)
-Continued on from "Mysterious Twin Towers, Choice 2"

1. Use the Chaos Stone (Open inventory, Right-Click it) to activate the quest.
2. Pop-up message.
3. Investigate around the Tower of Darkness [568, 928 ↑37]. Quest will auto-trigger.
4. Continue on to either "Chaos (Route B-1)" or "Chaos (Route B-2)".

IMPORTANT!! ROUTE B-1 with the choice "I don't think there's any reason for me to follow you." will lead to 30 Rep, then a level 80 Challenge Quest. [Level 60] Fire Element BOSS. Close-Range Physical Bow Attack.

Note: Although he holds a bow, it is a close-range melee type attack that he does.

Level 53 Challenge Quest: Monster Hunt
-Continue on from quest "Level 53: Demonic Feligar"

1. Speak to the Celestial Recluse (467, 567) Heaven's Tear
-Kill 1 Kimsa the Claw King (Located at Stairway to Heaven around [415, 506]) 10 second spawn time
[Level 62] Fire Element BOSS. Physical Melee attack. Attack speed increases as it's HP goes down.

2. Speak to the Celestial Recluse (467, 567) Heaven's Tear
Choose one:
Choice 1: Raging Lion Claws + Average Citrine Shard: 1
Choice 2: Greaves of Lion's Rage + Average Citrine Shard: 1
Choice 3: Boots of Lion's Rage + Average Citrine Shard: 1
-Reward (Coin: 8400 Exp: 14000 SP: 3200 Rep: 20)

Non-Area bound Challenge Quests

Level 55 Challenge Quest: Dragon of the Depths

1. Speak to Count Misfortune (665, 968) City of Misfortune
-Kill 1 Dragon of the Depths (Located at Endless Sea around [695, 963])
[Level 60] Water Element BOSS. Long range Physical Damage, Physical AOE, Water type Magical Attack. Has 6 Echomaids as guards

2. Report to Count Misfortune (665, 968) City of Misfortune
Choose one:
-Choice 1: Smogg's Ring + Celestone of Human: 1
-Choice 2: Deep Ocean Ring + Celestone of Human: 1
-Reward (Coin: 10800 Exp: 10800 SP: 4200 Rep: 24)

Level 56 Challenger Quest: Eyes of the Krimson

1. Speak to the Bud Harvester (448, 425) King's Feast
-Kill 1 Eyes of the Krimson Beyond (Located King's Feast at around [433, 414]) Respawn time: 15 minutes
[Level 60]BOSS. Does ranged AOE Magical Damage and a debuff.

There are two things which make this boss ridiculously difficult. Firstly, it is ranged and is found on a narrow mountain path. It will start running, and a Barbarian can easily fall off or become unable to reach it. Secondly, the debuff causes the Barbarian to take massive amounts of damage. It is able to one-shot a debuffed level 59 Barbarian, so higher levels are recommended. Also, all priests should have at least level 5 or higher purify to keep the debuff off the tanking Barbarian. It has an AOE attack which should be avoided at all costs as it can one-shot most mage/archer/clerics.

Level 58 Challenge Quest: Heaven's Trial

For the FB 59, the quests "The Challenge" (Spiritual Cultivation), "Heaven's Trial" (Level 58 Challenge Quest), "Call of Duty: Sacredbeast" (Level 59 Challenge Quest) and the end of "Mysterywood Fruit" (Level 55 Regular quest, part of a chain that starts with the quest "Outcast") should all be done together. FB 59 requires no mobs other than the bosses so it is recommended that one uses wine to save time.

Important information concerning the FB 59: The boss Gluttonix is currently bugged. It is possible to have the Call of Duty in the pillar and still not have it register the kill. The causes for this bug are unknown but a proven strategy for getting the kill is to put in the Call of Duty, and when the boss is at 50%, change the party leader. This will give the quest the "failed" status and return the Call of Duty to the original holder's inventory. The holder should then wait until the boss is at about 25%, then reinsert the Call of Duty. Another strategy is the insert the Call of Duty at the last minute but this strategy does not always work 100%. Another theory concerning the bug is that the person who inserted the Call of Duty must have the final hit, but this theory is unproven thus far.
Also, make sure you have ALL TEN PIECES OF MYSTERYWOOD FRUIT when you go into this FB. All you have to do for this is to talk to an NPC located deep within the dungeon. That is not worth a run unless you are participating in someone else's FB.

-Collect 1 Token of Earth (Located in the Valley of Disaster, Earth Valley)

2. Report to the King's Feast Chief (465, 432) King's Feast
Choose one:
-Choice 1: Skywalker Armor + Celestone of Earth
-Choice 2: Skywalker Vambraces + Celestone of Earth
-Reward (Coin: 348 Exp: 17887 SP: 7525 Rep: 12)

Level 59 Challenge Quest: Call of Duty: Sacredbeast
-Continued on from quest "Spiritual Cultivation"

    -Sign of the Talon (various coding bits that weren't completed)
    -Hexoclot (typo)
    -Xaadu (typo)
    -posion shot (typo and nonexisting skill. Not sure what it's called though. Also, maxed Venomancer spells work as well)
    -Twin Towers (same answers for both paths, I think they're supposed to be different)

    Oh, and I may have skipped over it, or it may not be in here, but you get an Oracle V (I think that's what it was) from a quest somewhere. You may want to list that quest somewhere.

    Man I'm tired, its 3 am lol. I will fix tomorrow xO (Today, later). Yeah, actually Twin Towers is the same. How do I know? Did em both with two different chars. And Oracle V, I for some reason at the time didn't consider it a Challenge Quest so the details are sitting the the general guide.

    Level 58 Challenge Quest: Heaven's Trial
    I was told by the GM to post here and see if anyone else has had a problem similar to this. we got to the end of the quest to dig for the token of the earth ( i have all the others already) started digging with out problem as my squad started leaving i got the timer to leave the instance the dig did get to 100% a few moments before leaving the instance i also got a new squad invite which i accepted. well it did not register that i got the token of earth. we were going right back in so i figured no big deal well got to the end again the other person was able to dig without problem i tried i received the icon to dig but would not allow me to do so. i have already submitted a ticket which the advised me to first post on here then try to do the quest again (guess the third time is a charm) if it didn't work there is nothing they can do is what i was told and i am Out of luck and would have to trash the quest. help if you can if not i will be trying to do the quest again ( hopefully it was just a glitch and logging off and back on will help to correct) thank you for your time.

    Probably not the right place for it, but as it's here, I will attempt to answer the question here.

    For one, check inside your quest inventory to confirm that you do NOT have the item. Quest inventory accessed by opening your normal inventory (Press B) and then going to the other tab.

    If it is not there, try relogging and try again. If all else fails, then unfortunately you will have to trash the quest and try it again.

    If THAT fails...then I unfortunately have no alternatives to suggest other than sending a ticket to PWI's helpdesk (Though I do not know if that would help if all the above steps failed.)

    i do not know what u mean by the quest still being bugged. i have done all my fb59 an all quests that led me in there, stone an the lightining guy that has u kill gargantua kong. i would have to say its been about 1 week since i completed all these quests. since i completed them its possible that you all can to.

    By bugged, we mean that there are issues sometimes with the quest completions. That doesn't mean that it isn't possible to complete the quest; for some people though, the quest does not finish for them, thus causing problems. Count yourself as one of those fortunate enough to get through without issues.

    On the Twin Tower quest, I went to the Veiled Tower for the phanstimor one. Guide says that there will be a choice of either "I don't think there's any reason for me to follow you." or "Stronger power? What power can you give me?" On the pop-up I was only given the first choice, the second option wasn't there. I chose the first option because it was the only one there. Is this a glitch or did I do something wrong?

    I'd have to see a screenshot to determine that. You could have tried to cancel out (Hit back or move away) and then try again to see if anything would happen...but since you've already moved on it's hard to tell.

    I did a search for this here and also asked some fellow guildies about it. The search didn't reveal any answers and the guildies said they had the same problems and trashed the quest so I guess I'll do the same. It'll take a little longer but a few extra One Man Army quests will sorta make up for what is lost, other than the lvl 80 quest.

    I'm curious. Is the lvl 80 challenge (the one you get when selecting the corresponding option in the lvl 50 Twin Towers) quest reward 320 gold for the item mall?

    If that's the case then its a no-brainer which one should be picked. 30 rep and all that gold!

    Or is it simply 320 coins?

    Id like to know the answer to that. This frustrates me that this quest is not at all clear, and that I wanted to get the 30 rep, and mistakenly got the 16000 spirit.....

    Ill freak if it ended up being actual cash shop gold I could've gotten....at lvl 80

    well, 320 shop gold at lvl 80? every lvl 20+ should of heard at least about that in game, but i`m 51, i chat alot with high lvl players, 80+ included, my faction leader is 84 and no, nobody ever heard of shop coin given through a lvl 80 quest.

    Plese, is the boss skill bugged? I'm doing my FB59 tonight.

    I just want to know if I have to do as the guide says.

    I used wine on this quest. We noted that by each boss was a closed door behind which I assume are the tokens of earth, fire, etc.

    Do the doors open as each boss is killed?

    The leader of my party insisted that I needed "tags" for this quest. That's why the doors were closed. We ended up not doing the quest.

    I thought tags were only needed for Call of Duty quests.

    Can someone confirm whether I need tags and where I get them. The Kings Feast guy whom I got the quest from doesn't have them.

    If I don't need tags how do I open the doors.

    He probably meant tabs, the things you put into the pillars to give the whole party exp. To be honest, you don't need them to open up the doors. As you guessed, the doors open as each boss is defeated. The motivation for the party to go in with you though, is the exp gained from the tabs.

    So I guess even if I wanted the tabs they just aren't available for this quest?

    In case somebody has the same question I had. I was able to do the quest without problems.

    you can open individual areas of the fb by killing the guardian before each branch. the "usual" order is to go clockwise (left) from the entrance, since they unlock in that order (as each boss is killed, the next area opens)
    your "leader" most likely mistyped tags for tabs. though before encountering the first boss, you should have lead, as that is the way to tab the pillar.

    as posted in the wonderful forum guides, you'll get the tabs from the celestial elder.

    if you're on heaven's tear, i can recommend a number of people from various factions who can help do your fb.

    I'm 50 now and i wouldn't have found the secret quest involving the Thousand Streams Elder if it wasn't for your guides. ^.^
