ok, I know that Clerics arent the biggest money makers of the bunch, but not the worst also.

there is always a mob that drops stuff that sells well, when I was in my upper 30s/lower40s, if I got short of coin, Id head over to the lvl30 Antelope, and farm for Hay, they drop around 10 or more per hour, at around 5K each thats a fast 50K, not even counting the dew, and other drops.

other tips as previously mentioned, Fly more, transport less, collect along the way, and craft low level 1 and 2 stuff thats sells has some kind of added stats. even if the **** sells for 2-10k its basically free money, from stuff you collected. the dud items you can just re-sell back to a vendor, compensates for jades costs. or just sell the mats you collect.

    Pick up coin laying around

listen just pick any magic wood based mob, thats a few levels below you, and grind away, youll make lots of coin. with little effort. as they melt with our metal dmg. less shots means faster kills, less mana.

Oh, and as for pots, keep the lower level pots that drop from stuff you farm, and use them, yeah they give you less points of hp or mp, but they free!.

Use those roll over minutes, oh, sorry wrong place.......

The best way for a cleric to make money is to be a cleric.

    That means:
-Heal and pick up drops more than killing. You won't need to heal that much and you won't need to atk.
-AoE grind with someone (you can do this with barbs, warriors, archers, another cleric, a wizard, and hell, maybe even a veno...oh wait, that's all 6 classes)
    - buy concentrate orbs instead of heiros and do FBs and just call molders

    Making money without getting xp:
    - pick up mid mats and sell substances
    - do hh and call 1 of the mats using concentrate orbs for bosses.
    - pick up herbs and sell useful potions while keeping the concentrate orb herbs for yourself.

    Your friggin' kidding..RIGHT!?

My warning to Newbies is "Take EVERYTHING" you read and hear with a grain of salt. What a lot of these "experts" don't tell you is that they already know how to play games like PWI and "start the game running with knowledge under their belt - OR they have GREAT higher LVL friends guiding them OR the were just damn lucky on their path!

I challenge "ANY" Newbie to begin a new class, with "NO" previous experience or help..... Take the advice and "Don't ever buy MP or HP pots," Then come back here and report your progress.

I'm LVL 37 Cleric....From day 1, I could not survive(initially) w/o BOTH HP and MP pots... NO CHANCE IN HELL. Now I keep a "few" HP pots for those rare moments when i'm getting my butt kicked by higher lvl mob and Magic options are in cooldown. My cast times are so pathetic that trying to cast Ironheart and pureheart during multiple attack is almost counterproductive.

"Everything" that I do eats up my MP like good Old American V8 auto!!

Having POT's on hand is more than recommended "IT's crucial!" Unless you don't mind taking major losses on EXP cause your dying all the time.

Mobs are always equal to or higher LVL requiring many multiple hits and often defensive magic. Not too mention Using Magic simply for purpose of learning to use properly.

Regardless my efforts to stealthfully acquire single targets, It's not unusual for me to have an aggressive MOB "POP up" right in my face and I'm now fending off 2 Mob's...requiring Iron heart and pureheart to save my ****!!!

Yeah, at higher LVLs you've acquired better equipment with much better attributes...But don't be telling Newbies "NEVER" buy MP and/or HP pots... "Bull ****!!!"

I'll admit that I use very little HP "NOW" but I still burn through my MP pots fast and heavy!

YES, I do meditate very, very often - much to the disappointment of my squad members.

Newbies... I assure you that most advice is helpful and beneficial, but take into consideration the LVL of the person offering the advice and the experience that individual has already acquired.

TAKE HP and MP Pots with you....If you don't need them, fine, don't replace them when they're used up(but then...how could they be gone if you didn't need them?). You will eventually establish a good judgment on How many of each you want in your inventory, for emergencies if nothing else!

Ask yourself this.... Why are MP and HP pot's available to you?

This is not intended to be a slam! I'm simply tired of a "few" people telling "most" people something is flat out, matter of fact. There are differing opinions on everything. I'm simply suggesting you have the tools at your disposal first...THEN decide if you can really do without!

Or, take the other advice...Don't have MP and/or HP pot's with you and see if you can survive!

I have a low lvl alt cleric, lvl 30 at the moment

and I have noticed that many clerics around my lvl complain about money and having to go buy more pots. . honestly as of yet I still have never bought a mh/hp pot

I get more then enough from grinding and killing mobs

I'm almost more then certain this will change once i get into the higher lvls and start squading more often

but early on people, please, don't but pots it's just a waste of money

I'm only lvl 32, I have no previous experience with PW and don't know anyone else who plays. I never bought a hp or mp pot and can't see any reason to. Total waste of money. Plenty are dropped for free and if you are getting your **** handed to you jump up high and put out the old wings. Whatever was beating on you will wander off.

Well, this is how I made money, but it may not be the best for everyone:

I waited until about level 60 before I had any money! Kept buying endless supplies of potions, not gathering herbs... Needless to say, I was a pretty huge noob.

Then, finally, I found Hands of Terrandes at level 60, and I suddenly realized the best way for me to make money: grind a mob with a good DQ drop rate and then NPC all of the drops. In a level or two, I made enough money to buy the Watcher of the Skies wings, all with coin. From then on, I've just browsed PW Database and looked at drop rates, picking the mob that has the highest drop rate, and then grinding on that mob until I outlevel it!

Another key to my method is patience, which everyone who wants to try it should note. If you don't buy charms, and are too cheap to buy potions (like me), and you are too lazy to gather herbs (also like me lol), you'll be meditating to regain your MP. Boring? Yes. Free? Also yes.

For me, this method really works. Some examples: After my wings, I've bought Sakyamuni's Light (2.3 mil), Dragon Orbs to refine it to +3 (500k), two flawless magic attack shards (about 1.2 mil), and I still have a few hundred thousand coin in the bank (which will be gone when I buy Dark Pants of Hades and the mats for my TT70 chest armor).

Hope that this helps (or entertains) someone!

    Sell DQ items.
    Sell mats
Don't buy any sort of armor until 60th if you can help it.
    Don't buy boutique clothes.
    Don't use the teleport. Fly.

Need to get to Arch in a hurry and near a major city? Port into the Cube then leave. Shazam...you are in Arch.

Auction off good items you can't use.
Pick up the coins the mobs drop. No-one should be in such a hurry as to miss this.

Fly around Arch for an hour and make 50k plus items from all the n00bs that leave stuff laying on the ground. It's incredible.

Find a good group to grind with and a densly packed area of mobs. Heal when needed and be "bag boy".

After every mob grind run put your coin in the bank. Don't keep it on you. This will curb "impulse spending".

How do you get money in the bank as I have tried? What is the best time to upgrade your armour and how?
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.

I have to agree with _WillFire_. Just squad up with another player (any class, even a cleric) and then just grind together for some time. True, you will get less drops from the same amount of mobs, but you will kill more in the same time.

I time after time grind together with a cleric (friend). She mostly heals me, but if there is no need to heal, then she also attacks. She is also the one who picks up the drops, so I could move to the next target. Just kill mobs with good drop rate and at fast speed you even won't feel the difference. As well grinding isn't that boring when killing with another person. Just try to stick to two ppl squad.

If grinding with cleric, then one tanks, other heals. When get bored from your role - switch it.
