why do lower lvls try to ks?

okay i was lvl 27 at this time i had to kill the skeleton merchants by orchid temple and this lvl 22 decided that because i was fighting this mob that he would follow me around and try to ks me he obviously was either a noob or he didn't look at my equipment because he would follow me around and try to kill the mob that i was killing and sorry to say...he failed completely he was using all of his skills and using mana pots quickly but he kept on trying so i just said "dude...stop it...you are trying to ks me and just to let you know...you fail horrably at it." in responce he just said "shut up and go sit at the sidelines noob and watch how it is done..." and sorry to say that a lower lvl calling me a noob kind of ticks me off but i ignored him eventually i just kept on saying "...fail..." for every time that he tryed. finally he turned to me and in all caps he said "SHUT UP!!!" but i kept nagging him eventually he jsut came up to me and said "duel" he had his fb19 wep without any stones in the sockets and he was wearing standard equip with no extra attributes on any of it. he obviously didn't look at my stuff because i had ** Gold Plated Handaxes that gave me plus 38 to accuracy and plus 1 to vit and not including my equipment that all of it had extra attributes when we dueled the most damage he did on me was 75 with mighty slam when i just clicked twice and stood by watching me beat the living **** out of the guy doing 100+ damage on him with regular attacks and he started using POTS so i jsut smiled and clicked on the skill penetrate armor doing 174 damge on him then i clicked on slam and finished the duel and he just acted like i cheated on him when he was the one using pots and he started to say i **** the game...how lame could the guy get i mean geez hacking the game? that would be a complete waste of time and i wouldn't even know what to do to do and i wouldn't want to do it anyways...has anyone had any problems with lower lvls trying to ks you?

    lol yes, today I was killing my last pyro emmissaries when a winged elf appeared. first he followed me and the started to attack the mobs I attacked (I was fighting from the air). I asked "what are you doing?" and dropped on the ground; went on fighting.

    he too landed and still attacked my mobs - but was killed by a pyro from behind he probably didn't see^^ I don't know if he came back, I moved on for other quests...

    he didn't say anything, it was strange...

    I ksed alot lvl 21-29 at those quest areas outside Archo west where its more players than mobs. If ppl refused to party me to finish the quest fast in group i just attacked closest mob and didn't give a **** if they also attacked it. Because u wont be able to finish some quests if you're gonna wait politely til 1 mob spawns next to you and no one else attacks it. Everyone ks at certain nub areas since its 3 players per 1 mob. So u really have no choice if people don't wanna party - unless you wanna spend 2 hours each quest.

    well the reason why i don't ks is because when i start killing the mobs for the quest everyone stays in one area but i just continue to run around Arch so i always get the mobs that just respawned and i have only ksed once because the person dared me to because i beat him in a duel and i got the kill even though he was 4 lvls higher then me.

    lol i bet he got a rude awakening...he should have stayed in the air lol thats why when i have a guild meeting to go to and because i haven't gotten my flying mount i just continue to run away from the higher lvls or just climb up on top of something above the ground and hope they don't use magic...

    I had some guy KS me when I was after Ossein Guards near Secret Passage (I was looking for Complete Sack drops). I told him he's a jerk and he called me a KSer (xD?). I told him I have the right to claim the monster kill if I attack the monster first so he said that he has the right to claim the monster cause he did more damage, and then he blacklisted me. :P

    Broken Bow Bluff is a bad area for kill-stealers. Orchid is marginally better. As a veno now, I admit to one or two accidental steals...

    with my veno i have this same problem which gives me a whole diffrent outlook then i had before playing her. its hard to cancel macro and recall pet before you already killed it..

    and again a low lvl tried to KS me hehe to bad he didn't live though it and this guy was even worse he was a lvl 14 cleric in lvl 30+ area lol he was like "REZ ME SOME ONE!!" and i just stood next to him and killed the mobs around him. when he asked me what i was doing that for and not leaving i said "because obviously you need to be baby sat" and then i left lol leaving him all alone waiting to have a cleric rez him when i was like the only person even around

    Not sure if people consider me killstealings since I sometimes blast one arrow at a monster some other Archer is fighting, but that's only if and when the mob is on melee range.
    I wouldn't mind a bit faster kill and less hits taken myself in the expense of some XP, but I don't know how others think about it.

    Not sure if people consider me killstealings since I sometimes blast one arrow at a monster some other Archer is fighting, but that's only if and when the mob is on melee range.
    I wouldn't mind a bit faster kill and less hits taken myself in the expense of some XP, but I don't know how others think about it.

    Well one possible response from melee class is next:

    1) do not get emotional, it's their way to play the game. we have free choices
    2) create long macros out of your fast and damaging skills (the anti-veno macro or anti KS-macro)
    3) once spotted a veno in your area keep your eye on radar.
    4) if you see a veno approaching unleash your macro to ensure the kill.
    5) if a mob is half way from you and veno use bow to draw the mob away from her and- finish it up with macro
    6) reject all squad calls from any veno outside your guild or friends list
    7) reject all TT squad calls from any veno outside your guild or friends list

    OMG! That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard!!!b:angry
    There are so many nice people playing Veno class out there. Why would you assume that Venomancers are bad and that they do not like to help others?

    I personally always feel bad when hit a mob at almost the same time as somebody else. Or send a pet on it. And I often say sorry if that happens.

    Not every Venomancer is a bad person, you should first know them and than judge them...

    not on the mob...on him on mobs at lvl 27 i was doing like 300+ damage and i averaged for 40 attacks 367 damage

    not all venos are mean and there are people who actually care about accedentally ksing me and i give them gratatude for saying sorry (1k for saying sorry and for trying to explain yes i am a nice guy) but the only venos i have had problems with is the ones during the wraith attacks because they see me killing the mob and they send in their toughest pet and start using skills just to take the kill from me to try to get the items. but yeah give people some chances

    I had an amusing experience doing aoe damage on a group of mobs.
    Id just rounded up a group of mobs and wad them wailing away on my herc, when along comes a blademaster, stands in the middle of the mobs ive roudned up and casts aoe damage, adding most of them to his bunch, and then running off.

    Thats fine. After he has finished rounding up mobs I just aoe "his" mobs, and he ends up tanking them for me. I may not have got all the xp for each mob, but my poison cloud was hitting many more mobs than I would normally be able to pull.

    I made him an offer not to do it if he left me alone afterward, didnt have any more problems. Funny about that :)

    If a noob tries to KS you just do this and say,

    "Hi wanna be friends?"

    Then he may say
    "sure" and stop KSing you
    or
    "no noob" and walk away

    thats the thing...he was being totally rude to me...and i have lots of friends from them ksing me or for me accedentally ksing me..but he thought he was all bad and he was the toughest player around and then i proved him wrong...

    and again a venomancer tried to ks me...not very smart of her i can kill 5 mobs in 2 minutes now and she tried to ks me...she was killing like 5 mobs in 4 minutes lol twice as long i let her hit it down for a quarter of the mobs health and then unleashed on it then she was like "wtf man i attacked it first" she obiously didn't see me hit it 3 times before stopping when she started attacking it...

    This is a very narrow view and I don't agree with it. However, I will give you a vote of confidence, since even "some" venos can only see the day when they can solo TT. For instance rather than saying: "Well, we can go TT anytime, since I can solo it" You hear: "great, I can go solo TT now". Kinda like making it sound:"I don't need anybody anymore"

    At least, my veno friend promised me to take me to TT as soon she can solo it, LOL which is great.

    I would have loved to see your performance since I cant imagine it. but well done.

    This is why I think that instead of who does most damage gets the better stuff/kill,
    instead I think that it should go to who actually hits it first.
    Makes more sense to me anyway.
