    Well in the only other mmo ive seen a kirin in it was ultima online and was described as a magical horse/dragon similar to our unicorn now japanese culture leans to it being more of deer yet chinise more dragonic sometimes ox ( dunno where you get the ox from lol b:laugh ) than deer i mean yeah its got antlers in the game but thats about it... have you seen the teeth on that thing? and scales if im not mistaken i mean yeah it doesnt make a very attractive dragon but its far from a deer yet ive also seen it depicted in art as a deer/antelope creature with dragonic features such as scales dunno thats just my opinion having read wikipedia as well for the most part they seem to be right and even thow the majority is going with deer ill have to go with dragonb:victory

    Linking to an unreliable source which could be edited by anyone does not support the dragon claim beyond a reasonable doubt.

    The name the forums give that type of veno is just "Antlers" on the avatar options page.

    My vote: it's a deer. It just looks like a deer.

    i woudnt really call wikipedia unreliable even thow it is edited by everyone but there has to be some moderation of the site thow or else anyone would post whatever he/she thought right? google imaging it actually was interesting you get pics of both the deer type and dragon type
    and yes i realise it was for the veno i just trailed of towards the mount since it was mentioned at some point in the convo ^^; oh well no harm done

    If it were a dragon, I think they would have added a tail for this veno. but the antlers color is strange for a deer... :/

    In general biological terms, Deer have HORNS, Antelopes have antlers.

    That said, I vote ANTELOPE.

    As a few others in their posts have said, its a Kirin.

    Kirins are the eastern version of our unicorn, with a mix of most animals in them.
    And of COURSE it has big teeth! b:laugh

    "the kirin (Qilin in Chinese) is described as having antlers like a deer and scales like a dragon or fish" -wiki "qilin".

    If you don't trust wiki, google it.

    Ah... I'm guilty of thinking it was a deer, as well. The other veno presets are based on real animals so I just immediately thought it was a deer upon seeing those cute little horns :)

    If Veno has horns of a kirin, and kirin has horns of a deer, then veno has horns of a deer.

    Considering all other venomancers and barbarians are based on real animals, and the fact that kirins are dragon types, which are mythological & esteemed and even quested about (dragon quests), why would people suddenly believe this is a magical mythological veno type?

    It has the horns of a deer. The forum selection for avatar calls it the deer type. Its a deer.

    You have it backwards: Deer have antlers, Antelope have horns.


    Antlers are a complex set of horns, but they are quite different from the simple horns of antelope.

    In Chinese mythology, the Dragon is a mythical creature that has the features of many animals: antlers of deer, body of a snake, scales of fish and claws of falcon, etc.

    Seriously you all that think its a dragon need to look at the antlers of every different kind of deer. Why do i have this feeling you all are going by the antlers of reigndeer and white tails.
