    Kirin(Qirin)/Dragon their all in the same category in asian folklore. Kirin is a family of the dragon. They may range from being more snake like to looking just like a hairy horse. Their horns may be one or two, single or split depending on the mythology.

    Not everything about the game is strictly based on Chinese mythology.


    And I'm going to point out that the venomancer caster forms all shared attributes with their real world counterparts including tails. Kirin had tails since they incorporated parts of many different creatures, and since the antlered dear doesn't have a tail, it is unlikely to be a kirin.

    You seem to forget that every country in the world has deer. Most asian deer have small (much like the ones on the deer venos head) or no antlers.
    Everyone arguing that is not a deer peobably only ever saw the breeds with the large antlers like the white tail or reindeer or moose.
