Holy ****, it's AWESOME.

How can you guys have not put this in the patch notes?

EDIT: Wrote patcher instead of patch notes.

    Agreed. awesome little tool!!!

How to use the Auto-Path feature:

Goto the main map (large scale map, not the detailed map) hold down the alt key and click the area you want to fly in.

A Popup appears named Auto-Pathing. you choose your altitude with the slide bar and click confirm. You have a check box choice to also exit flying mode (if you want to) when you reach your destination (i.e. you land). Click Confirm and exit the map. your already on your way!

The only negative I see with it is that as soon as you choose your destination you are already moving to it before you click confirm to set your destination. This might be a bug in the Auto-Path feature.

Holy hell. Been waiting for something like this. Never would've known about it if I hadn't seen this thread.

Note: Works with the mini-map too. Though this has more limited applications.

Finally... more time to do work while doing WQ.

Thanks for the thread Xanthir. Agreed, they missed the main update in the patch.

autowalk/fly features are always nice. just keep in mind that there are aggro mobs on the way.. so better do not go for a coffee break while your char is on a longer trip xD

That's what the altitude bar is for. Fly at 70 or higher and there won't be any mobs.

b:chuckle 60 altitude should be enough to avoid any monsters. I fly afk at the height all the time. Lol. I can't sit around for 5-10 minutes, waiting to get to Arch from Dreamweaver. No more turning around because I was away for too long or the stove needed my attention. Happy day! b:victory

    This makes me happy.
No more holding down the spacebar for a while whenever I want to fly somewhere to get high enough to avoid mobs. No more overshooting, so you turn around, then overshoot the way back, then repeat this over and over for half an hour.

I think that 50-55 is high enough if you aren't flying over a mountain with mobs on top of it. b:victory

Or aren't flying over the highlands to the west of Lost City.

    Nearly perfect.

If someday they add the ability to plan more way points, for mounted rides for example, it will be perfect.

No more paying 100k+ to teleport world quest EVERY day or alternatively trying to afk fly and coming back to see your character on the edge of the map (I've explored quite a bit of "Unavailable", it's a pretty cool place).

Everyone loves the new feature, WQ will never be the same!

nah, i've clicked the minimap before, and all that happened, was this useless flashing dot, with a flashing arrow.

Agreed, more waypoint spaces are much needed, 5 or however many they let u have is rarely enough. Cant they think of more than 5 colors for arrows?

Great job on auto pilot. please make the confirm button start the trip, not as soon as you click your destination.

Oh wow, this is awesome! I fly everywhere to avoid the cost of teleporting, so a feature like this is one that will be often used and greatly appreciated.

engrave a number ON the COLORED arrows.

And this helps with waypoints 1 and 2.... since the colors are similar...

Yeah I figured that out by accident yesterday just before I logged for the night. Didn't have the chance to edit the post so.. :-) lol

Awesome feature but the confirm button IS broken. you shouldn't go taking off the second you click the map, you should only take off when you click the confirm button (so you can choose altitude etc).

The confirm button isnt 'broken' It's just the developers decided they wanted to divide the process so that if you didnt happen to care about altitude (when you're walking, you don't) you wouldnt have to worry about "part 2". Alt-Click starts you moving. Then as a secondary feature, you can then choose a height & confirm it. Just have in your mindset that [comfirm] isnt referring to the entire feature, but just the height dialogue. A nice benefit is if you are not on a flying mount, once you adjust and confirm the height dialogue, you'll hop onto your flyer automatically.

What does the orange star in the circle that appears on the edge of the minimap while autopath flying mean? It's not at starting point or destination, nor is it anywhere along the flight path - to me, it just seems to be off in some random direction.

That i think is a glitch. I think, like players who are off the map, it's "supposed" to be in the direction on the destination, since it is identical to the destination marker on the map screen. I think however whatever calculates which angle its supposed to display on is botched. I'm guessing, if the developers fix the bug, (and since its monor, it will get fixed, the devo's only ignore major bugs) it'll be in the direction of the destination.
