This game is pretty fun with the quests and how fast you lvl. Where i am at now, its only 1 or 2 quests a lvl.. but even the grinding goes by fast.

The latter are particularly insidious since the drop rate may be so low that you need to kill 50-100 of the things to get the items. So although the quests themselves do not give much exp relative to your level, killing the mobs gives you plenty of exp. On a couple of quests, the mobs alone gave me enough exp to level. I suppose if you consistently group with higher levels you might not get as much mob exp.
I looked also on other forums and everyone said that until lvl35 its enough to just do quests to lvl up but after that, quests give you just 50% exp and in 40s even less 30% and it continues to even less and less.No matter if quest says to kill x mobs thats again not enough to lvl up.Those earlier qusts give you maybe 3000 exp which is little.THE GAME IS DEAD b:byeb:byeb:bye0 -
Well, I've played, 2moons, ArchLord, Rohan: Blood Feud and like Hero and stuff. This game is by far the best and there is alot of things to do. Territory Wars are supposed to be awesome and also plenty of minor things like leveling your crafting skills up and so on.
BASICALLY THIS GAME ROCKS. BEST FREE GAME EVER. PLEASE GO PLAY ROHAN:BLOOD FEUD.
You will rush so fast back to this game, lol!!!

As for the original question... beginning times the game is a bit boring and repetitive. This saying because I originally played FFXI which had a little more options in their MMORPG. Once you get past the 'boring' stage, then it does get fun. Mostly because thats when you start to get more friendly with the pple around you. If you have a bit of leadership skills then its more interesting since you can look up the forums for strats on bosses and squad needed quests.

go to this link its quest for lvl 31-40 and look at 35lvl quest these quests give me only 25 000 exp and with crazy stone thats 45 000 and i need to get
90 000 exp to lvl up and on later levels there are more quests but they give little exp which is not enough for lvl up.I need to grind so early.
Just because he's past level 40 does not mean he can't work on lvl 31-40 quests.
I'll be a lvl 23 cleric before I ever start on the lvl 22 quests without any grinding outside of the quests. And looking at the quests and XP from them I'll be in the mid 3X lvls before I even receive the FB29 quest.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

The way that site is organized, though, illustrates some of the confusion here. The link you gave is not the complete set of quests available. It does not include the spiritual cultivation quests, the guard quests, the dragon quests, nor the quests for the seal of seven. Is it grinding or questing to take the same guard quest mob over and over? Is the whole dragon quest business a set of quests or an elaborate farming project? Sprit cultivation and the seal thing all have level and prior quest requirements before you can get them. Additionally, with the various easier leveling aspects of one event or another over the last couple of months, it is hard to tell what the "normal" pattern should be. But, it does seem like the game builds in a sharp decline in quest activity in the late 50s (and certainly by 60). It is not a coincidence that this is the point where you start having access to a lot more ways to spend time (TT runs, events, cube, others?).0 -

Guard quests are One-man army quests. Those only give rep and celestone fragment, they dont give any XP at all.
Dragon Quests are just an infinitely repeating loop, and those are listed on a seperate page. They're really just a waste unless you need the Dragon Orders. Altho they do grant XP, its really just a type of really long repeatable.
Cultivation are listed on a seperate page on that site also.
Seal of Seven quests are in fact in those quest lists.0 -
If you didnt grind ONCE until 60 then you failed to mention you used an EXP scroll. Once you pass 55's then you will find yourself grinding at least 1-3 times to 60, unless you where EXTREMELY unlucky on mob drops for certain quests. I look on the net and take note of every single quest so I dont miss any of it and even so I do grind a tad.
And sometimes, you do FBs, that help leveling a lot too.
I did not have to say the words "i need to grind" until lv44, and only said it again until past lv56, where real grinding starts.(Retired from Perfect World)

My bad, I was just going from memory, but thought the seal of seven was a separate list on that page.
Guard quests (or one-man army or whatever) don't give exp reward, but people pick them up as quests and then go grind on that mob. I consider that grinding with a slightly higher payoff (the 1 rep point the guard will give every x mobs), but it is not wrong to consider them a quest and think "I made my level without having to grind." Same thing with the dragon quests. If that, to you, seems like something other than grinding, good for you. There is no point in arguing about whether it is really possible to do this since it is entirely up to each player what they consider a fun quest and what they consider a grind.
The OP considers a lot of the exp-rewarding quests to be a grind. My main point was to say that there are different sorts of things that come available at later levels and the game recognizes this by dropping off the basic quests. Whether that makes the game "funner" or not is still a very subjective matter.0 -

Um Real grinding is from 40 on. And , you can not say no because I have 3 quests a level. The 3 quests don't even do anything they may as well take them out of the game and make this game called GrindGame.
Not all MMO's get repetitive and if they do get that way It takes me years to quit them because it took them so long to get that way.
This game has taken me 2 weeks to get utterly frustrated. There is no fun in killing the same lvl mob over and over again for every 10 lvl's.
If you people think that is fun , then you may want to get outside more.0 -
Jessup - Heavens Tear wrote: »Um Real grinding is from 40 on. And , you can not say no because I have 3 quests a level. The 3 quests don't even do anything they may as well take them out of the game and make this game called GrindGame.
I believe I understand your point, but I do not think you should feel so unhappy about this game.
If I take myself for an example, I get most of my experience for my levels from quest completions. Maybe one sixth of my experience for my levels comes from that experience that I gain by killing things. (Also, after a couple initial way back when I could first do them, I have never done crazy stone, because I do not enjoy that quest. I do other quests, instead.)
And, one of these days, I really want to try visiting Adventure Island. And I also want to try some Cube of Fate rooms, really soon. And I need to remember to finish Jewelscalen before I lose that quest because I got too many levels (can I lose that quest by leveling? i do not know, but I am worried). And I need to deal with Luminoc Architect somehow. And...
But you do have a good point -- when you reach level 40, your "Find Quests" button stops finding most of your potential quests.0 -
Yes. I also would like to try Cube quest and all that.
Right now at my level , I am topped out in all professions till lvl 50 ( i think there is a quest ).
So not much to do but kill random things. For xp which is like , 0.002 % per kill.
O well , I guess with a free game some things are going to suck. I just wish it wasn't the leveling that does.0 -
Well, I have a lvl 59 character and I haven't grinded him once(Except at lvl 41. Even then I DID have quests, I just felt like grinding).
But that's probably due to the fact that I play very casually and make sure to do my Crazy Stone quest every day.0 -

Um , there is 2-3 quests a level from lvl 40 - 50. So I think your wrong. You did grind. There is no other way around it. Unless you have secret quests in your pockets that the GM's gave you.

I am half way from level 54 to level 55, and I have only finished one of my "find quest" quests for this level (I got some water for that weak prisoner, which gave me a tiny bit of exp). And almost all of my exp for this level has been from quest completions, so far. Unfortunately, though, I have not earned much reputation yet, this level.0

Actually, I used to run into the same issues when I first started on another version, but I found a work around.
I noticed that at lower levels, if I joined squads to do normal quests, I ended up with less exp. overall. Sure the quest reward was the same, but during the killing I got signifigantly less exp. I started to notice early on that I was having to grind like the last 10+% every level, and that amount grew bigger as I got higher in levels.
Now, I solo whenever possible, unless I am in a hurry, or if I have to kill certain quest monsters that will just punish me. At low levels, before I go rushing to turn in a completed quest, I look to see where I am percentage wise.
I get every quest done for that level before I even think about turning them in and if I am close to leveling (90+% before I turn in), and getting good % from the local mobs, then I stay killing till I level. THEN I turn in all my quests from the previous level and that gives me a huge head start on the next level. Between that and the daily quest, I haven't had quest issues till around level 60+. Then I just sit back and do my daily and hunt for loot more than exp.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Hm the game is as fun as you make it i guess. Truely it all depends on the faction your in, friends you make. There the real reason why the game can become fun. It can be boring and tiresome grinding or questing entirely on your own so of course add some manic people into the situation and you soon find your questing and lvling faster.
Although it would be nice if there was more quests for higher levels. Or that the crazy stone quest from lvl 60 gave more exp :P
===
Everyone on this game has grinding at one point or another. For instance when your killing 60 mobs or doing quests where you need to kill over 350 mobs then your grinding. Even though that is a quest your still grinding on those mobs gaining the exp from them.
When you zhen your grinding etc :P
it is impossible to play this game and not grind0 -
no it doesnt as you level it just becomes a money sink0
-
Actually, It is VERY possible to run out of quests. It happened to a few friends of mine. Not even the find quest button gave them anything.
Heres why it happened to them...
They were being Power Leveled. They made a new char, higher levels were squaded with them killing everything in their quest quickly for them. Thus, taking a lot of exp they would have normally gotten had they NOT been squaded with higher levels.
They turned in all quests but did Not have the specified exp to move on to other quests that open up with later levels.
Its like taking half their exp & holding their lvls back. So there they were stuck without any quests. Running fb's and healing them while they grind *not squaded* was the only way to bring up their exp to advance to higher levels and get the new quests to open up again.
So regaurding quests (excluding FB's)... be sure to quest alone, you get more exp that way. Or if squaded make sure they are of the same level. And make sure the beasts u are killing are 4 levels near yours. You get more exp and more drops.
And yes it does get a lot more fun the higher level u are. At lvl 15 I stopped due to boredom came back a few weeks later when more of my friends joined and its addicting now, fun all day everyday!b:laugh[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
When people say ''grindin''' they generally assosciate it w/ mindless, endless killin' w/ the sole purpose of gainin' exp.
The difference in killin' mobs for quests is that even though you get exp/kill, the sole purpose is to complete the quest, so you can hand it in, and is therefore not endless. It's a quest, a mission to be completed.
Grindin' is endless.0 -
this mmo is nice, im level 82 and havent killed one mob, but am at 52%. dailies ftw.... this game is no where near a grind fest. except for maybe venos, but every other class can aoe grind, so it makes things more fun.Less QQ more Pew Pewb:thanks
"Don't argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience."
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I quest and do mobs if the quest calls for it. I also grind certain mobs for exp and coins only. I make 17% exp and over 100k in 1 single hour just grinding non-quested mobs alone. There not the same and grinding is simply an added option for me.
But techniqually to grind means to push and kill over and over without really taking a break. You can grind your questing and you can grind just for exp and coins if u chose the right mob for your level.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I'm still glad this game has quests at all...try doin' all of this w/o any quests or otherwise reason to level... >.>0
-
Funner isn't even a real word. Unless it's been officially recognized, and if so I feel sorry for the English language even more.0
-
i never had to grind and im lvl 51..... and i still got a ton of quests and im having loads of fun thx to the community, the content of the game, the new skills i get, and more.... i have yet to buy better wings or fashion clothes.... and i cant wait to participate in TW in the future....
at lvl 1 (like any other game) you are excited to learn.... its something different.... later it gets old coz it repeats.. quests+more quests+ more quests, but whenever i get bored of something in this game i usually have something else to do in it...hopefully there will be more skills in the future b:pleased

I think one of the main reasons a person may run out of quests before level 35 is the fact that they play a LOT. The daily crazy stone quest, for example, is done everyday by most, if not all, players. Now, add in the normal quests. If you are able to achieve maybe...2 or 3 levels of quests a day, plus daily quest, in respect to...say, 2 quests per day and daily stone, then the gap widens.
Ex:
P1: does 2 quests and daily stone
OR
P2: does 5 quests and daily stone
Player one limits his play time to 2 quests a day plus daily. Then he can do more quests and another daily tomorrow. Levels slowly but has more quests than player 2. If player two is able to play maybe 6 hours a day, who knows how many quests he can do? He may lvl, but the leveling will stop when all he can depend on is the daily quest. Player one will still have an adequate number of quests and daily quest to support him through.
Lesson: Dont play too much.0
