Same thing with me, I keep getting the message "Cannot connect to server." On the login screen the servers have red dots, making me thing the servers are down, but on the website they are green dots. Have the servers been down since Friday? If not, why can't I log in?

This happened to me also, but I just installed this about an hour ago... It said that it couldn't connect to the server.

The servers are currently up. Please check your firewall and security software to ensure that they are not blocking the ElementClient or TCP port 29000 outbound, and that the Launcher has administrative rights.

Are you running any security software, such as Windows Firewall, PeerGuardian, Comodo Firewall?

like I said earlier, I finished downloading the multiple files and installed today. It seems to install fine, but for some reason when I open the launcher the part that's like...idk an internet page doesn't show up, and it says the update server connection failed. I patched it manualy, and then started the game. At the login screen, when I choose a server, it doesn't show the status, or anything but the names. I tried to log in several times, and it said it couldn't connect to the server. I don't know if it's my laptop or what, but I've been working at this for hours and it's bugging me.

Note: I also had my firewall turned off, and security programs. I also re-installed the game twice.

another note: I just noticed, all the people that have posted in this (except the mod of course) just joined today.......that might not have to do with anything but.....

i have had this same problem since wednesday eversince i updated to the 32-37 update. I thought the 38-40 update would solve this problem when i logged on on thursday but it didn't. i scanned the forums looking and trying all the advice that was given but i still get the CANNOT CONNECT TO SERVER message. All my friends that i have gotten in contact with don't seem to be having this problem. So what is wrong? Why are we the only ones that get this message.
Please come up with an answer that works soon. Thank You.

I cannot log in either. I installed the game yesterday. Patched it today. And cannot log in.

I am not running firewall/security software.
    I have opened port 29000.
    I have reinstalled.

When I am choosing servers should I see the ping/status/etc? Cuz all I see is dashes (---)

Please download and install nmap. Go to C:\Program Files\Nmap\zenmap\zenmap.exe, double-click that file, and in the resulting window, type in the command "nmap -p29000 -PN pwigc3.perfectworld.com", click scan, and wait til you see the word "unknown" pop up, and tell us what results you get. If you see the word "open", it means that there's something on your computer blocking the game from accessing the internet, usually Windows Firewall, PeerGuardian or another software firewall, or ElementClient does not have permission to access the game. If it says Blocked, Stealthed, or something similar to that, it means that your ISP or a hardware firewall blocking access.

Please verify that the text of C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\element\userdata\server\serverlist.txt is :
    Sanctuary (PVE) 29000:pwigc2.perfectworld.com 4
    Heavens Tear (PVE) 29000:pwigc4.perfectworld.com 3

my laptop won't let me install nmap, it says it doesn't know what program to open the file with.....help???
I also tried to open the port myself, but apparently I have to type in the NAME of the port as well as the number....???
And another thing, do I have to install nmap if the game already didn't work when I disabled my firewall&anti-virus software???

this is so weird, how come only a small portion of the people who play this are getting this problem, and it's especially occuring with people who just recently installed. Even though it's a small portion, it's still a large group, isn't it?

I don't know, but I really miss playing PW.
Not sure why I uninstalled in the first place....>.<

It can't be anything that has to do with my internet connection or firewall because that hasn't changed since the last time i've played...

    I'm so confused o_O

This usually indicates a particularly heavy-handed software firewall or poorly implemented network driver. Checking for the former, and updating the later, would be the first advice I can provide.
