Do you believe the statement that the myspace event was real and we failed to get 6000 links?
Was it a scam by the game makers?
Are they too stupid to not realise that a negative event result harms the game, community and players?
20% off of something that is way too expensive anyway and we thought would be free?
50% XP gain? LOL?
Do you care?
Go for it...

I was against the idea of the event to begin with.
It would mostly have benefited those who goes into zhenning parties, leaving behind all those who cannot for various reasons.
At least everyone can benefit from a discount on xp charm.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks Brit for the sig b:laugh0 -
I care because my guildies and I created those virus ridden pedophile loving myspace accounts with the hope that grinding would feel good for a week and make the quest barren lvls easier to deal with. But after seeing the amount of friends drop more than once during the one month time limit I began to wonder.
If they jump over six thousand with in a day i will cry foul. Being that they control the accepts and could of just held back. I don't really believe that to be the case but it is food for thought.
On the other hand I love the game and will play just as much regardless of the extra xp.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I think that that's no scam and it's really not a big deal.
The event rules (conditions) were VERY ARCHIEVABLE INDEED, but the players were very inactive. You gave only negative polls, that's sad.
It's just a game, there was no scam, it's not a big deal and "I don't care. STFU, Muff"... No offence please, just said my oppinion,

Couldn't help but notice that the poll had 2 "It was a scam" options, effectively making this poll a scam because you are stacking the odds towards one particular viewpoint. Nice try though. b:chuckle0

Also, gotta remember, on MySpace unless your set private, you get pounded by Porno bots trying to get you to come to their "page" which has links to their "naked photos" etc. I had a MySpace page for 4 months and had more requests from porno bots than from real people.
Last time I checked in, my inbox had 30 or so friend requests... only ONE was from a person and not a **** Pusher.

Cash shop prices are high cost, I agree. But not whinning. Was the myspace event intented to fail from the begining, probably not. But i do think that these 2 things are linked together.
You have 100 people playing on the server, 25% may spend money on cash shop and 10% of the 25% may do so on a regular basis.(just example numbers, not reality and very basic.) This statistic of population(general as it is) drives the price point of CS(cash shop) items on a peticular server to somehow support it alittle. You have 1000 people now playing on the server rather then 100. Using the same basic formula as above, you would probably see a reduction in CS item prices. So, did the mysapce event fail in total, maybe not. If the advertisement from the event draws in more players to the server, let us hope it does, we may yet see a benefit from it down the road concerning CS prices. Just my take on the matter. Anyway i hate typing, can stand it, going to play.0 -
I doubt it really is a scam i think it is to help people 35+ lvl up. After lvl 37 the quests drop and u'll have to grind a lot so i think that is the purpose0
-
It's optional if you want to buy or not.. the zen price is stupid so I won't buy golds using my MMMMMM HARD CASH MONEY! ! !
anywayz it's just a sale.. I still don't know why they would not change the zen prices.. the competition is starting up.. and the new server is slowly leeching the people from PWI. well that's PWI for yah~
I did not add them on my friendlist cuz the server is bad so why would I? the event sucks anyway0 -
Most certainly not a scam - just a poorly thought-out idea for an "event".[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Given, I know nothing about the Zhen parties that Blanch mentioned, but I have to agree that from my experience in testing them with grinding, I did not see worthwhile results at all. So, while I did send a friend request on MySpace the first day of the event to participate and perhaps help all those desperately wanting it, I never had much faith in it.
I do not think it is a scam. Everything done by "management" in this game is geared toward doing everything possible to get players to spend real cash. This is not to say you must spend money in order to play. I'm simply stating that there is much less frustration and thoughts of nefarious practices if you focus on the fact that they are here to make money.
That said, I did not vote. I did not love or hate the event, but I do care and I also do not think you should shut up. IMO, in the future, you might consider adding a positive choice for the vote overall and an "I don't care choice" that has no negative connotations attached.0 -

Although I do think it is in poor taste of them to try and make more money off players after not meeting the goal immediately following the huge money making halloween event, I will not go as far as to scream it's a scam.
You don't have an option available for me to vote, so I will simply leave my short thought here for the sake of having added my 2 cents.0 -

I assure you the event was 100% real.
We spent a lot of time analyzing different things before we came up with the goal of 6,000 friends.
As some have expressed earlier in this thread, the goal was definitely achievable given the size of our community.
We were very sad to see the community fall short of the goal, and even if you're not a direct cash shop user, you will still benefit from the 20% off on Training Esotericas, as the market price (coins) in game for this item should drop considering that the supply should increase.
As I stated earlier tonight in another thread, we're looking at all the feedback you guys are giving us, and will definitely take it into account for future events.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
lol they ripped us off, or at least the ppl that added them to myspace
so they didnt reach 6000, why not give 1.5 xp for 4-5 days then? or at least a decent 50% OFF, wtf is 20% anyway, why not make it 17.4131 %A patch full of glitch,
Makes my eyes twitch.
Should i continue playing this game or switch,
because this is a serious problem and not a simple itch.
Some bug abusing noob gets rich,
While a honest players get the ditch.
Please rollback if you wanna enrich,
or this game would just be a ****

Paying real money for a 1 hour bonus is kinda dumb in the first place.
I would be willing to pay more money for a 30 day bonus, cause it could work out like a monthly subscription fee. This is the way it works in 9 Dragons.
In 9 Dragons they sell a package with 30 day XP bonus, protection from death penalty, and a long lasting attribute buff that you can get from a NPC in the game.
If you pay by the hour ur just gonna end up spending a lot more money, and its unreasonable.0 -
3000 people who maybe not pay for items in shop
Brought you players in who maybe pay, maybe around 2000 players who will pay
All of this myspace should have never happened seeing most dont like it
But they do come to the game and play and pay, ever thought of that ? so whats in for those players ?
Like usual a Shop item .. event , we love you... (barf)
So like always u gain what u want paying customers and we gain nothing
I allready know and so do more people we are leaving to europe allready many people have had it with your bad customers support and ur very bad additute treatening people with actions if they speak up against things wich are bad handled or pushed by your company false advertising is bad and so you lose your players
Another note, the players who are leaving are also Americans and Canadians.. dont u guys see it? we want to play a game treated normally, the game should be for us ?
Also and its so sad to see this that when u make your Shop items so expensive the game doesnt change inside no better drops no better exp . while the items in game are also being sold for way to much ?
You know how much farming more then any other versions has to be done for getting things ?
Your forcing people to ask for more then the game can handle.. and basicly yes thats the trick to get u more customers in shop... You might need to read other game forums how much things are being handled way more nicer towards your customers and not only respond on cash shop or bad posts u dont like to see on your forum or others see, they will find out anyways so dont treaten or threaten people so bad0 -

And what makes you an expert on what the game can handle?
I've participated in many other F2P forums and I personally think they do a pretty decent job of running this one.0 -
I paid more then 150 euro last month
Dont u think things will change if u show u dont want to treat us nicer or listen a little bit to us ?
People have problems should be nicer handled seriously
We can not i think point the finger to you guys who handle the forums buy you guys do act on the way its done..0 -

Anyway those kind of events are poor since of beggining. Majority of ppl stay hella out of myspace and other similar services, just for reasons that they are primary target of spam bots viruses etc.0

people saying its not a scam?
well scam maybe i little over the top but its definatly not fair.
i mean yes you didnt get the full amount of "friends" you wanted but you could have given everyone some extra exp for a week.
instead PW decides to go down the route of money and basically say, heres your free exp but it will cost you.
i hate mmos that do this kinda **** if you offer an event eiter do it or dont. dont add something to irritate others and make lit look like it was your plan all along.
im a bit dissapointed, i mean they should have eietehr given us the exp or not. and definaatly not gone the cash shop way with the.
2for those who wanted extra exp ..... well you can buy it" option.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Well i believe its not a Scam But saying that how many Free MMO's these days aren't a scam you just have to look at the way these games lean towards there Cash shops to make the game more playable and easier its sad and a scam yes but these things are big business... on a whole tho the Myspace event wasnt a scam in my eyes.. pain in the butt but not a scam..0

Plain and simple: PWI offered a challenge to have a chance to gain experience. Plain and simple: That challenge was not met, so therefore we are NOT owed anything. I understand feeling of emotions are raging right now, but keep in mind negativity will get you no where in life or in a game. My vote is: I didn't participate in the My Space Event, Gooooo PWI.......

Why is it that someone complains about everything? We didn't make it to 6k, no it was not an unreasonable goal, yes it is nice of them to give us a discount on xp scrolls because we came close. If you really think everything about this game is a scam just quit already.0

LOL, man you guys are funny. First off you throw an event thats supposed to be a global event for everyone (Which is how alot of your events should be without using Zhen to do it). Then Bam lol you have to throw it in there for Zhen at the last second. Do you guys understand that not every player buys Zhen. A game should not have to have every Event just about be from Zhen.
The same with the Halloween Event, 100k or a guardian angel ... hmm which is cheaper? 100k < Guardian angel. Which ment u guys upped the price for 100k cause u knew people would just buy the angels instead. Which wasnt fair to normal players. Really all u guys are doing is sitting back collecting money. I love your guys game and its a great one really. But stop making everything a pay event, because that defeats the FTP factor.
So what u didnt get ur myspace 6000 friends. wow... lol u got over 5000 I know so really u should be happy for that at least, you still should be giving it to the community for trying.CGE Network Game Editor

I had to vote the "I do not care" option because I did think the event was possible and did not think it was a scam, yet still do not care at all about 20% off. I never bought exp scrolls at the old price and will not bother with them at 20% off either. All of their "sales" are jokes as far as I am concerned. Their "sales" only take very small percentages off the price of things so they are still never worth buying. In the real world if something is not at least 50% off I do not even consider it to be on sale. A sale of less than 50% is just a buzz word to try and con people into thinking they are getting a deal. 20% is so close to full price that it is a joke to even use the word sale.0

How is something you have to pay for a 'reward'?
And I see a dozen people already unfriended PW's my space, don't be surprised if there's going to be tons of people following that lead.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I voted " I do not care " but please scrap that " STFU muff " part for I have nothing against muff ... Hum, people will get the wrong idea.
Ah well, the event was flawed from the start. Using MySpace as a medium, knowing how dirty many users are and how badly monitored it is, was a suboptimal move.
I would have liked the XP bonus, but it was not worth attracting on me and my friends the attention of MySpace's fauna.0
