Okay so when ever I try and play the game constantly freezes and the screen turns black and then everything comes back for about 10 seconds before it does it again.
I tried installing the latest drivers for my graphics card but it still does it. If anyone knows what's going on and how to fix it it would be appreciated.

Please make sure you selected the right bit width (32bit/64bit) of driver to download..

the black screen + 10 second pause means your display drivers crashed. Vista uses the 10 seconds to reload the driver and reinitialize the video card. If you were using XP, it would just bluescreen (yay vista!)

Like the mod said, get the newest drivers. it says not validated but tell it to install anyway. if it still crashes after install+reboot, your hardware is too old.

Except it doesn't give me an option to install anyway, I just get the message and a close button

Are you on a laptop computer, and if so, can you tell me your laptop manufacturer and model series?

Your hardware may be faulty or overheating in the chipset for some reason.

May have to take it to a PC repair place.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

hopefully that's not the case because I don't have the time or money to take it in, plus my laptop is only a couple of months old

It may still be under warranty. If the issue pops up in other games or stress tests, please contact... (:shudder:) Dell support.

Stress test software is a program designed to use the full capabilities and power of your devices. They're good for detecting faults early (especially in places where defect parts can be dangerous or life-threatening), but if you're not familiar with the tools, I'd advise against looking at them.
