    Well back in the day when the internet was still in puberty, Neopets ruled with an iron fist, and Dial-up on a Windows '95 PC was the bomb, My father created account names for my whole family.
    Dad was Blakshark8
    Mom was Blaksharkmate
    and I was Blaksharkkid
    Needless to say, that name coupled with my dad liking Black Label alcohol and the Black Label skateboard I had.....well, it just fell into place.

    i am an novice animator, and i am thinking of a complete new story,
    the roleplayer is a girl named mira, which has a latin meaning:
    it means *searches up again"(it has many meanings) :
    thinker, fantasy, imagination

    the story is that mira's ancestors the first one that discovered a special amulet along with a discription tablet saying:" the who that carry amulet of transitus ( wich means changing ) and die with it, will be revived and has the power of transitus and the amulet will be destroyed":
    the mother ancestor died, ( she didnt had kids ) and from that moment, all girls have the ability to change things by wanting it, but with limitations:

    anyways, thats why i have this name, :)

    Well... I've actually got a story behind my name...

    For the first mmo I played (Lineage 2) I wanted a cool name for my character and decided on a combination of a few words which came out to be:
    Descenterence
    Which would literally mean the act of being one who descends or one who brings to descent; or one who takes down.
    Then, after getting randomly banned from L2 (NCSoft thought it would be "in the best interest of the community") I changed my name to Descentia which is a disease that can be contracted from ascending or descending an elevation too quickly and is usually fatal.

    And well... Descentia just stuck. :D

    Descentia has a nice sound to it. ^-^

    As for my name, Lycanthra is derived from Lycanthrope, because... I like lycanthropes? Added an "a" to make it sound slightly feminine, but apparently it sounds like a Thundercat 0.o

    K. I chose my name for a very special reason.
    I chose Lyte.
    It means literally (as a suffix) something that decomposes. Like people, we age, every day.
    Secondly, Lyte comes from the greek word Lutos or "to loosen" I like to think of a gaming world as a place to loosen up, to have fun...
    I honestly thought it to be fitting, the embodiment of humanity and the embracing of the game :D

    The Ark is God's power on earth as demonatrated by Indiana Jones. So, I like Ark. I added an "aea" to it because I wanted it to be longer. It turns out that Arkaea is a metal band. How interesting how my name comes from two things I love like that.

    Only reason I chose this name was because It is one of my favourite words. I don't think anyone should put too much thought into their usernames since it is only a game. What would be the point? The only thing that bugs me is when people, for what ever reason, use a name that is complete gibberish. Ugh, is it just too difficult for them to pick a word(s) that actually has a definition or is a name of some sort? At least something someone could actually remember without too much of a hassle.

    I have had this name in other things for awhile.

    Since mid 2007, I have chosen to use this name if possible.

    This was however after finding out Demi was a girl's name, Semii sounded masculine.

    I haven't even managed to get passed the first page before starting my reply, but my name comes from Magic The Gathering. Legendary dragon card Oros The Avenger. And I picked this card due to my fond liking of dragons (mythical creatures... but mostly dragons). I wonder if I will see anyone else with a MTG name :).

    cause this is always my forum name, but my elf character in the game is named Anemos because that is the Greek word for wind. And I got Banshe from the movie kicking and screaming.

    I chose my name because it was the most perfect name for this type of charractor. No other name is better suited for a winged elf. Plus my charractor matches the nickname I chose when I signed up. SexyDeath. I guess I'm one of the 5% then.b:pleased

    My previous closed beta name, Seraphy, was named after Seraphimon (the Digimon), on a text based RPG. A friend of mine couldn't spell it, so he shortened it to Seraphy.

    My open beta name is the name of my catgirl character (one of my characters as an artist).
