you're really scaring me away from this game...I don't think I'll ever grind 24/7, or even 2/7

Of course, because the level cap is 105 and they don't want anyone hitting 105 really. Perhaps things change if the level cap gets raised to higher levels. The MY version and other versions are woefully incomplete, as you need to farm 109FB among other things to get the skill books for skills 29+ and you need the 109 cult finished to use the 59 skill books. 99FB only drops the skill books for skills you get starting from level 2x and below.

For me to. 19 years to get level 105 when I play 2 hours a day and grinding. Imagine how long it takes if you quest and not grind.....

Well, if you want to "ease your mind," the soft cap is pretty much 100-101 and that part was done in about 3 months I think. The 101-105 XP is just something to keep the 100s around and spending on cash shop items, etc. This isn't WoW, where everyone is at the level cap. There's lots of things to do in the lower level range and all the newer dungeons are geared towards lower level gear (such as Frostwalk being level 85).

Lots of games have soft caps to keep the high levels around instead of these hard caps where you suddenly stop gaining XP after a certain point. Let's say you stopped gaining XP after 100. Then, I think a lot of 100s would be more likely to leave.

Usually, you'll see either faster ways to gain XP or a change in the amount of XP per level once the caps are raised in some future patch, which might come way way off in the future.

Those charts are a fair bit off. The 99-100 and 100-101 comparison is off by a ton, which of course throws the 101-102 and the rest of it off.

U hit the nail on the head,

In the near future ( should be like month or 2 or so i heard) there should be another mayor patch for CHN servers, they will add these new furnices at tear of heaven city where u can travel tru time and do quests. u will travel to the past and c how archosour/ ADC was created
there will be alot of new quests for the higher up 90 + or so i believe.
link with more info : http://asiapworld.com/pwforum/viewtopic.php?t=596
hope this helped a lil bit.

Yeah that's pitty. The game would be lot better if they would have the quest system like Lotro which has only 1/9 quest from slay them all type.

So with that update it would be possible for me to reach lvl 105 in 1-1.5 year instead of 19 when playing 2 hours a day? :P

How long played that person a day? And I assume he didn't know all quests since he started at the launch?

mutliple people played his account to get that high level i know him and was in guild with him. I know for a fact others played his account. So if u got 5 others playing your account yes u can reach max lvl in a couple of months

Level 100 yes not 105 :P which takes 1 year and 7 months if you play 24/7

As far as I know, with the current set of patches, it really does take 267M XP to hit 102. Beyond that, I can't directly confirm since obviously no one is at 105 in PW-MY.

In these Asian-based games with crazy leveling curves, casual players won't hit the level cap or even come close. It's just the genre. There's WoW and Guild Wars and other similar games if this magic level cap is a top priority. Casual players can easily hit 90 after a while even with just daily quests. 90 is still high enough to PvP relatively well with 90 green armor and weapon and heaven/hell skills. I guess players have to pick and choose the game based on their own definition of fun. To each his/her own.

lvl 89 is all you need to be "high lvl" the rest after that is just a bonus.

Also the last couple of lvls is just e-**** factor, lvl 99 is the last lvl that really matters for equip etc. 100-105 or w/e the new max is, is just there to show the world you have no life =P

I don't grind I play quests :P Grinding sucks and is boring. i also love playing PVP so I will also do that in those 2 hours, so effective it would be 1-1.5 hours questing. So I think that would take 2 years for max level them and Im not going to play 2 years or it must be VERY good. the only bad thing so far is that I only have quests where I need to kill mobs (kill them all type). Hopefully they will be better later ingame like the quests from Lotr :P (here are 1/9 kill .. mobs and pick up reward)

Once you like 90+ theres like no quests and it will take you like 2-3 months to get from 90-91 lol, if you play 2hrs :D

Wah, bb T_T will be IP blocked from this server.
    bb.jpg

Anyway, bb hit level 90 about 1 month exactly after open beta started. His goal was to reach level 89 in under one month. After that, it was pretty boring for him, because PW MY had not opened up a lot of the high level content, so there was not much to do except grind.

Then, it took him a little over three months to go from level 90 to 100 if I remember correctly.

(I'm not sure if I could reach level 100 unless, I played for like years or had a really good aoe party where I would give tremendous thanks to the lurers who can't be afk, while everyone else sort of can be a little, unless some pker comes along ^_^ ) I can't imagine the time it would take to reach level 150. Maybe two lifetimes?

It has one of those wierd symbols that a guard has, it is unbelivably strong, i have seen a video of one, someone spawned one in vanished, there were two guards attacking one and it killed them both and all the NPCs around it!!!! That type of monster cant be fort by lvl 105s!

edit: the person in the video was lvl 150 so i am guessing 150 = max, when you get to the max you cant get anymore EXP, it just sits on 0%

The new Max lvl is 150. And it seems that all of you guys forget about daily stone quest and world quest, thoes quest does help a lot, aren't they?
I, myself, can have a WR lvl 75 in one week easily (about 7hrs a day, I did took one week off to do it), and it could be slower a bit for other class (especially WB ><). I have 2 friends, whom play less than 5 hrs a day, and in 6 months they are lvl 98 in PW MY right now.
About grinding, PW is not the worst, the worst is Mapple Story and Yulgang (Scion of Fate).
    Why...so...serious?

not going to read this whole thread but...

    level 1->103 or so = 103->104
    104->105 = 1.5 1->103 or so

    105+ = same as above

Dont expect ANYONE to hit 150. I honestly dont even know why they have levels so high if it would take probably an entire year of 24/7 AoE with an exp scroll. Oh, cant forget theres no good aoe spot minus fb109. So, after lvl 120 your grinding on extremely low level mobs which means alot less EXP.
    Can you say screwed?

Um, I'm just curious more than anything, but how long do high level people spend playing each day? I can understand people spending a couple of hours a day playing, and perhaps more in the weekend... but more than that just defies belief. I heard somewhere that heaps of people play 8+ hours a day - but how can you fit in that much playing time? Do these people have jobs? School? Do they sleep?

I personally have never gotten any higher than mid-level in any of the mmorpgs I've tried, because I simply don't play for long enough. On MY-EN I played werefox for around 3 months, and I'm not even at PvP level yet :p

Max rank? You kidding? You need 200k rep to get max rank. If you farm everyday crazy signets it should take you like 200 days to have 200k rep ^^ Skills depends once Heven/Hell all your skills costs around 1kk sp, but the regular skills you can learn all. 1-90 well, play 7-9 hrs a day and if you know what to do and having a good party around all the time, should take you 2-3 months.

For the pros it's not really a big deal to go on 22+ hours a day leveling. When I was insane on leveling I used caffien drinks (didn't help stop burning out) but my other mates go the full mile and take quite a few caffien pills, that and they have insomnia. One of those guys was the 3rd person to strike 60 and I forget what rank he was in TBC but it was in top10. There are some guys that literally have one hour of sleep in the span of a few days for a good year.

This'd be one of the reasons I "hate" going pro in MMORPGs, there will always be people that not only don't have anything better to do with their time but punish their bodies to the limit to get that shiny rank. Top tier gamers in MMORPGs don't have jobs, sleep or anything of the like. I wonder how some of these people can afford to live their lifestyle (parents)...

True. it would be cool if they cool make a level system which gives you 5 hours every 24 hours of 1000% xp increase. This is a timer starting every day again at 5 hours after you logged in and counting down. if you take a 1 hour bracke it stops and resume if you play again. this would make it easier to catch up for player that DO have a real life :P

Nope, since i assume you might do Dragon quests (where you get alot exp but not much sp) you can't learn them all. For Example im a Blademaster and i only could learn the Spear and Axe skills, for the others i didn't had enough sp. You don't need them all anyways, since only a few of them are needed and the others are mostly useless.

Is there a site or so with best builds? Cause I think im going to play a cleric, werefox a werebeast but i don't know what skills I should learn and which I should level max :P Is it possible BTW to reset skills which give you back your SP points so you could train other skills (not gold ofc)?

Is there a site or so with best builds? Cause I think im going to play a cleric, werefox a werebeast but i don't know what skills I should learn and which I should level max :P Is it possible BTW to reset skills which give you back your SP points so you could train other skills (not gold ofc)?

Nope once set points, you can't get them back. It depends if you go for Cleric, which build you want?

Full support = A party junkie who have a hard time to solo, but always a high chance to get parties for FB/HH etc.

Hybrid = A decent amount of Hp and Mp to solo.

It's up to you how you build your Cleric =D
