I'll settle for a box of chocolate chip cookies (delivered to my door step)

lol they did that for this 1 mmorpg i played for like 3 yrs i think it was evrquest:D. the gms will come out of no where and transform into some huge monster that every1 tries to duel alon, i got close with my sensei monk :D but after that you'll think they'll give you something uber cool but you get milk and cookies that heals you like potions lol

disagree. i don't think there should be any in-game rewards you can use when the game is commercialised for playing in the CB.

i have beta tested lots and lots of games and my stance has always been NO to special rewards in-game. a forum reward such as an official 'beta tester' sort of thing would be okay. an example for this is what happens on the warriorepic.com forums. each beta tester gets a gold shield with the words CB beta tester on them.

you know this thread is kinda useless now cause no gm commented it  and we all know that they are not going to do any reward things, isn't that a good conclusion for every1 but i shouldn't be mad because am lucky enough to be allowed to get to play the closed beta plus this thread as only been here for 2 days and nothing really happened except ideas so .... yaa.... how do you delete a thread...

no thats not my idea i was thinking the player in each server that gets the higher lvl and reports the most bugs.

Then why not reward the players who reports the most bugs regardless of level?

T3h Ultimate response to this thread:

3 Issues have come forward , 1 the reward, 2 the way its obtained, 3getting rich from reward harvesting

#1, make the reward meaningless like a fashion item. Its not like having a cotton shirt(cheapest fashion item in the mall) and/or some baggy pants is going to imbalance anything.

#2, Just give the damn reward to any and all CB testers that reached lvl 30, if you dont reach 30 in one month you're never going to play this game for long anyways.

#3. If everyone has these fashion items there wont be a market for them and no incentive to try and horde 1000's

    +1 for Lipe.

Or make the fashion item bound to your first char after closed beta.

Big question is : can this be made without have to manually give the items to everyone who went to CB and reached LvL 30?

Remember, the chars database will be wiped.

accounts should still exist and the game has a mailing system. I'm sure there is a way to mail the items to the 1st char created on the account.

Oh and I like the idea of making it unitized body, that way no one can profit from it either.

rewarding the fastest grinding ppl is a bad idea i think... coz to lvl faster, you better just grind than doing quests or play the game.... and the CB is for finding bugs and not for organizing grindfests..... so to be honest, my opinion is, if you join the CB just to lvl up fast, then PW dont needs you as a CB tester.

Actually, doing quests is the fastest way to level up.

Everything that could possibly be said has been said. Lets take a break here so the mods don't need to run thru 70 pages of the same stuff.

xarfox and orinj have had plenty of opportunity to respond to this thread... since i cant be bothered to read it all i'll just assume from previous posts that they havn't.

this is probably because this is currently low down on the priorities of PW-Intl at the mo, and no decisions have been made.

If / when the decide to give 'rewards' to OB 'testers', no doubt they'll make a thread and stickie it

Well, I'd be fine with untradable funky male fashion, if I could choose which colours. I'd go for a very dark red top, with black pants and boots. I've seen it a couple times - looks pretty sweet on a Wizard.

actually doing quests is not the fastest way to lvl up. untill you reach around lvl 40 thats true. but after that just skipping the quests will get you faster to the next lvl. i just say bamboo village and then snake island etc.... and every time you leave for questing and then come back, you need to wait untill they get a free slot in their parties and that can take hours. I know what i*m talking about coz i was 1 of the first who hitted lvl 80 on Oracle. all ppl who will reach the highlvls first after launch, will be players who just start skipping their quests after around lvl45. and thats a fact.

In that case, give the prize to anyone that gets to 45.

lol ^^ when your lvl 40 still do all your quest they'll get you at least half or more than half to leveling up and you just grind the rest and go to sleep and you can lvl everyday easily on till you are lvl 70^^
but its mostly done by not dying and if you die wait for and cleric to revive you even if it meens paying 100k do it lol

This is a freaking closed beta!!!! Characters are most likely to be wiped out after it's over. Nobody on their right mind would attemp to get to lvl 100 so that character get erased after a while. Reward based on level is the only way to go.
    1. Players will try to get level up.
    2. Once players get to a certain level (And knowing that these are only test character), they will most likely stop trying to level up and dedicade more time to other activities.
    3. By doing such activities and getting bored as hell (because you don't wan to invest too much into test character), players may actually report a bug for the "fun" of it. Personally i'd love to find a bug and abuse a bit. :D then report it. Playing with a bug sound more interesting than getting to lvl 90
    4. OMG stop this thread. Developers too busy counting money :p let them concentrate. If they finish counting their fortune, they may feel sharing and reward us with something

The only real bugs you'll find are those already known.

I would say it's a good thing there is no word on if and what a "prize" might be. It will just cause more trouble here. For a lot people helping make the game better and the bragging rights that "I've been playing XYZ since it was in CB" is enough. IMHO if we get anything and how they decide how we get it will more than likely be fair.

I think we would all like a update now and than about the game. Admins take the Developers out to the Pub and buy them a few so they'll start talking.
Never argue with an idiot, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

NOOO they shouldn't, try reading a few pages back when this thread still had some remblance to something that makes sense. All you are doing now is saying the same things thats been dicussed on page 1-3 already.

Rewards must NEVER be some gamebreaking thing like CS mounts/money/anything that gives an advantage. Just stick with soemthing stupid like fashion that wont make everyone else angry.

I agree with the people on here that say a fashion item, and/or maybe some kind of in game and/or off game title to show you participated.

At least the forums are not a true representation of the entire playerbase. Even better we can choose to join the bad apples in pvp or have teaparties and chat aout rainbows and ponies in pve =P

I think that should be some fashon items like armors with text on back "I found a bug and i'm great"
Lmao just joking ;) It would be nice to get some freebees but i don't think that gm's will apply for that, it is just unfair to other ppl that don't have the "luck" to find a bug.
