Question's on the current state of the game

So I have been gone for near two years. I have a r9rr duskie (only +7-10 with 1.6k spirit). Main reason I quit was because of two reasons. The new bs that is spamming S card events for charge/spend promo's and the mind numbing daily routine that it is to level your sky levels.

Now I have never cash shopped nor will I begin. I can handle the p2w elements of this game fine. Thats not the main reason I stopped. It was the monotonous tasks this game forces you to do every day if you wish to have any edge in end game pvp (Looking at you G17). Also sky levels are a nightmare. So I was wondering have they changed anything to stream line these ways of progression? Or is it still the same horrific grind that has forced me away?

Now before I get any cheeky people saying "You dont need G17 to have fun". Go away, I only played PWI for the PvP. The PvE in this game is so lazy a hamster on a keyboard could script, design and code a better PvE experience.

Im fine with merchanting for a few months to catch back up to the player base. Thats no issue. Just with homestead & all the other daily dungeons is it worth coming back? Or have the Chinese devs treated us with the same disrespect we have had ever since release?

Now you may ask why I even bother with this? Its coz PWI is the only MMO that i truly enjoy. Played all the ones out there atm n this is still my favourite. The reason I stopped was because I seen no true progression with the games direction after playing for 5 years. Same sh*t with a different skin and a longer grind time for each expansion. To the point where you have to spend over a year running a dungeon every day to get the final upgrade... I just wanna curb stomp the employee who thought that was a good idea.

Thanks for ya time.

The Neverfall quest line gives a lot of vitae. There are also some side quests and the two new Spiritual Cultivation quest lines that give vitae to help you. If you're stuck at Twilight Sky it will still take a while to max it out, but Neverfall definitely brought a considerable boost in speeding up the boundary leveling process.

Neverfall has two dailies that give vitae and other rewards. The first one gives you Neverfall badges which you can exchange for useful items including Barbaric/Primordial blood. The second is unlocked after you progress through the main quest line and rewards you with an item that you can exchange for special apothecary items (most players use those now instead of faction base ones or buying/crafting regular pots). Just beware, Neverfall monsters hit pretty hard. You won't have trouble with your gear but fighting groups or getting attacked by multiple monsters at once can get you killed if you're careless.

Uncharted Paradise has been shortened (the 3 random trials were reduced to 1 random trial) so it's easier/faster to get that done. There is a new Glyph system for skills which you might find interesting. Most people use level 5 Glyphs which isn't too hard to farm. It's also generally not worth it to get higher level Glyphs unless you can get the next tier (level 8), but that's really expensive so very few people have level 8 Glyphs currently.

There's still "daily grind" but it's not that bad once you get done with your boundaries and Neverfall at least helps speed up the process. Worst case, you can exchange Lucky Coins for unlimited vitae pills at Assistant Wang Tsai. It's costly (depending on your budget), but it helps you get your sky levels done.

Neverfall offers a new type of BH (master bounty hunter, players call it MBH). Make sure to check out the Transmutation feature as well. If you played PWI for 5 years you must have some trash to exchange for better items. We're soon getting a new expansion that brings a Faction Base revamp and new Faction Trials with new rewards. We're also getting a carnival/amusement park that has various activities with rewards. Those are mostly cosmetic rewards, but it might be something fun to do to break the daily routine.

The games economy got progressively worse and the power creep has gotten even more intense good luck. This might seem negative but this is from a competitive perspective. If you are casually playing for friends and something to casually kill time games fine though. But if your aim is for he top I hope your bank account is ready or ready to devote many hours and late nights getting your grind/merchanting on. Daily have gotten easier but witha massive cost to starcharts I guess that’s ok to some but most of us think it sucks.

Hm. I feel like the daily grind isnt that bad anynore. The last sky levels are still a bit of a pain to get (ts7-10) if you already used up all neverfall questchains. At least its just those few levels. Blood requirement are luckily easy now thanks to UCH and other various methods.
Honestly lately all i do lately is my homestead dailies (i do lv8 cuz 5400 prosp, and i stack it so i do uch every 2 day and aeu every other day) and sometimes fsj if i feel like it. I pick up UP and DH keys everyday. Since they shortened the instances its a pretty decent now. I plan on burning thru the keys a day where i feel like giving it my all or just x2.
Oh and then i do NF boss twice a week for my alts. (To farm triple engravings)

I can understand you wanting g17 for your duskblade, and assuming you are aiming for 3rd cast with purge?
Well, nothing on the part of g17 really changed, it takes the time it takes. Personally I am farming HS with 3 characters, soon to be 4 (lacking 300 prosp on the last)
Aiming for higher casts? more are farming UPD lately so in that regard its easier to find skulls to buy i suppuse, but the prices......

I feel the way you keep up to date (without spending rl money) is by having enough characters that can provide what you need. Aka you need to be able to solo/duo or trio instances to really keep up without feeling behind. That means you and your farming partner(s) need to fill a sq of 10 with stuff like seeker, veno,bm,sin some good DDers and classes like mystic and duskblade helps too. I can, but I wish I could do two squads.
If you cant, your only option is being good at merchanting if you dont wanna spend way too many hours ingame.

Even though the economy is broken it should still be easy to read. I'm guessing that AH still has pre-order on its gold capped at 4.9m with a few thousand pre-order back ups? If so then i'll have no issue with coin.

But from what you are saying seems like it is still as stagnate as ever. I know ill never give this company any money just for the simple fact is that CN doesnt give a damn about PWI.

Hmm I do have heaps of characters that are able to do all that but I just found it annoying. Normally id just run duo windows for my UPD and FSJ. I was really hoping they'd have gotten rid of the limitations on UP since it takes so damn long to farm anything.

Merchanting will be no issue though. The market is beyond predictable :open_mouth:

I left the game about 6 years ago, at a time when it could be considered the game being in its prime. Tried coming back this year.. and came back to a forced rebirthed character. Bye bye 102 levels, and all my lvl100+ gear behind level locked out ~_~. Since I had no lowbie gear, I did not want to go through that harsh leveling process again. Lurking around here and reading topics, nice that nothing has changed in the last 6 years lol /sarcasm. You're all real troopers, deserving so much more than what PWE gives you.

Gear has no level requirement after rebirth. The only restriction is having enough attribute points. You do get a set of low level gear when you do your first rebirth which is decent enough for the first few levels. You can also wear ornaments (necklace, rings) and capes from level 1 rebirth because they have no stat requirements.

Worst case, you can buy an FC big room. I think one or two big rooms are enough to level you to the point where you have enough stats to wear all of your old gear. Re-leveling can be pretty quick due to the increased EXP modifiers. Now it's a particularly good time since we have x3 EXP on as well.

While its true AH is at its cap on max bid (3.9m + 2% ish) with a couple thousand orders as well, getting the gold is nowhere the same as it was a year ago. Of course it was also on cap back then, but I were getting gold from AH at a decent speed, I could manage to get exactly my 1200 i wanted (or close to) between each ultimate spend promo.
Now over same period of time I just got like 100 gold recently. Thats a huge drop, and makes it super hard to get spend promotions done. My gold have still not recovered its amount since i spent a good amount on a 12 orb promo, and thats a while back already.

Outside AH it seems gold are always 6mil+ (my server), even on bad sales. On better sales it can go to like 8m.

I actually dont merchant, I hate setting shops and keeping an eye on it. Though I was forced to do it during my ultimate spend promos else I wouldnt have gotten the coins fast enough. Now I just farm what I find most profitable and let my friends buy off me what they need for same price catshops buy for. Cant buy gold fast enough anyway.

The PvP side of PWI is pay-to-compete. As a dedicated F2P player that spends more time then is healthy in this game I feel qualified to point the obvious out. PWI makes it's money by folk creditcardwarrioring it out amongst themselves. I don't consider that competition personally, and as such know I'll never make the top. Ceased caring. Dropping thousands of euros into a game that's in it's twilight years seems... silly.
Nevertheless, judging by the refine spam on DA, PWI is still making a fortune of the playerbase. It's just... sad that soon you'll need upwards of R9+10 to even compete in PVP events...

So yea. If you only play for the PvP, whip out your creditcard and fork over $/E200 a month. That is what it will take.

With the current 10* glitch/exploit, why even bother to even try to fix anything?
The economy is already shot and just got worse over the weekend.

how is it a glitch when pwe clearly states "spend any amount to receive the reward". these people still had to charge 50 dollar and most of them didnt even manage to get a single piece +11. i`d be more bothered by the army of new nuema portal sins that just charged 1200 :)

Did you check and buy a firework or something and check to see if you got a Orb, without spending 50 gold???

I see the game still suffers from one of the reasons why it will never grow in the international market. Not the fact its a horrific credit card battle simulator. The fact that PWCN/PWE have done nothing to help new people easily access the game. You start this game now as a new player. It will take you at minimum 1 year of dailies to reach where maybe 5% of the active player base are at...

I feel like they should put some time in making Pv specific gear for new players to solo it along with just taking a "private server mentality" with early pve content and just let new players blast through it. Since the real game is at the endless amount of dailies for vitae and cards... F**k this game has not aged well...
