A concerning question

Also..if you are able to oneshot sins with a single Ion Spike Zerk crit then you are most likely not attacking the sin alone or the sin is massively undergeared or you are massively overgeared but only the first 2 are the most likely. While tidal is up you most likely wont be able to CC the sin. You can't really spam one type of attacks (phys or mag) on any target making it especially hard for seeker to go beyond def charms and deal any damage at all. SSQPQ is also way too risky on tidal. So in that sense, you most likely only oneshot sins as an assist kill, not really a good starting point to claim they are ok.
Also, most endgame people (especially josd) get confused and think sins are ok just because they might survive some attacks while they are maximum buffed and especially seeker are ultra-tanky max buffed. However...get a purge and fail to transfer SS and an equally geared sin can possibly hit you for way over 80k if ZC on subsea...so well. Even if you dont get a purge, if the sin has enough time amd can CC you properly on equal gears you will eventually go down because killing a max geared sin alone is pretty much impossible unless you get ultralucky as a seeker.
This is not the balance we should aim for..."sins are ok when they get ganked by 10+ people) like wtf people? No other class needs that much focus, not even barbs. There is no balance in sins in no way imaginable.
Actually i rarely QPQ Sacrificial Slash on sins. As a demon seeker our unfetter gives an instant purify which is what i typically use to gain 197 attack lvls. Also in fights we have better chi gain then sage, allowing us to stay sparked more often if we are careful on consumption. I am JoSD (mostly still working on them), and +10 on all gears except ornaments (+8-9) the hardest class for me to kill is a JOSD demon wizzy >.> curse you demon barrier and your 40k pdef! Dx
Demon seekers can play quite a bit differently then sage. Sage is more burst damage on its skills, most giving quite a bit more damage, While demon is more focused on constant dps, CC, and debuffs. gemini's aoe slow and unfetter especially are huge perks. also the extra time on demon BA (2 seconds doesn't seem like much but it is) allows us to bypass def charms in quick succession.
On another note I find it incredibly amusing when anyone lets me spark and ulti to aps them to death. that surprisingly works more often then it should xD guess no one expects the seeker to auto them to death? >.> (insert troll face here)
as a seeker in general i can see not qpqing on sins but hearing you purify instead of chance the debuff makes me sad You are josd so you will be giving a similar debuff as me. on my husband (r9 sin) he ends up with -57 defense level after ss qpq. if youre going to waste a purify anyway purely for the attack buff id chance the debuff - and thats a sage who doesnt have a back up purify with rewinding gesture if things go south before qpq cooldown is off
Never said i don't try xD it just usually fails. along with crimson soul and fortify for mdef reduction. when it fails i just purify. the -88 def lvls is nice when it goes off.
yeah that is for sure a definite plus in demon seeker land having that extra purify available. i wish i could get used to that idea but i really love having the extra antistun

lmao @ seekers getting easy kills
and lmao @ ss qpq on tidal? ok, sins you faced were in g16
endgame sins with proper clues, shred even HAs... it's not a matter of how much pdef and def levels you have, it's just a matter of the damage multipliers sin has...
let's say a sin hits you with your cap pdef and max def levels for 1k, which is legit
crit = 2k
zerkcrit = 4k
subsea zerkcrit = 6k
subsea zerkcrit and wolf emblem = 7,2k
subsea zerkcrit wolf emblem last elimination tick = 8,6k
i heard sin ulti damage increase it's not currently working as described but in case they fix it = 13k
now imagine if he is 3sparked = 24k
and he is full deity = 35k
Full deity gives a 46% damage increase on a sin? Unlikely...
Can you post actual calculations instead of just saying numbers?
A deity wizard can hit 30k+ non-ult without even needing a crit on equal geared players...
target with 150 def level sin with 170 atk lvls = 1,2x damage
target with 150 def level sin with 220 atk lvls = 1,7x damage
1,7-1,2 = 0,5 (50% more damage roughly)
remember that unlike def levels, attack levels have no diminishing returns
I mean even the numbers you posted were wrong...
To get the actual percentage increase in damage you have to divide.
1.7/1.2 = 1.41666, which is around 41% more damage.
Wolf emblem only affects crit damage, so it's not a straight 20% damage increase.
150 defense levels is also extremely optimistic for any non-seeker...
Bottom line is, a 150 def lvl seeker with capped p. def and full buffs is going to need some seriously **** up amps/luck/zerk crits to hit 35k...
Meanwhile any wizard who has a dex genie can hit 50k+ crits with a little bit of effort.
Even on my mystic, the most I've taken from full deity AEU sins while full buffed in def mode was 26k. The numbers just aren't viable unless the target is afk...0 -
Barbs could get a skill that makes us invisible and undetectable to enemies and that make next attack used x3 dmg as we come out of this state of being invisible (gotta work on the name still), oh and the people in radius of 30 meters around us get paralyzed as we come out of this state of invisibility.0

I'm just happy it's a decent discussion. Very interesting so far.
Oh, and where do I sign up for an "Elven Armageddon" sustained AoE attack for clerics? Or we could call it "Hurricane Alley", and have it be like a rolling wall of lightning. 0 -
Mystics don't need any buffs, we are already the best class.0

@capnk especially now theres a reliable puri on the horizon. Brb r9ing a mystic.

@kalystconquerer#0876 Well if you want you can change it. However, the main focus are sins. We could see throughout this threat that, while nearly any class has some killer combo, they can be countered. Not so much for Duskblades and especially Assassins. They have way too many rescue and counter CC skills. That allows them to outplay any other class easily. If you wanna fight them then you will end up in a situation in which you have used anything (pots, genie, skills) to stay alive/to kill and realize that both the sin and the db still have several skills left untouched to finish you off in your now helpless state. Again, I get it that this is mostly an issue in 1v1 and not everyone likes that but:
1. There shouldnt be a single mechanic in such a game that has no counter.
2. The impact for especially sins is also massive in mass PvP. We had this before. A full squad of semi-endgame people couldnt stop a single, deity sharded sin from getting away simply cause all of our CC skills failed. If they fail then you can hardly bypass def charms.
3. While any class struggles to kill a max buffed sin cause of those absurd rescue skills, sins themselves can still easily kill all AA/LA classes and they will most likely get through with it since even whole squads struggle to CC the sin in place.
Points 2 and 3 are not applicable to duskblades. If they try anything funny they will get CCed to the ground no matter how OP they are. They can be stopped and that is the main point here. Sins cant be stopped unless you are lucky. you shouldnt have to be lucky.
Easy fix? Remove Chill of the deep (lets be honest..40 attack level? Thats nearly a full set of deity shards...for free?! what were the devs thinking? Also seekers def lvl buff is fine in comparision since we mainly have an overdamaging problem instead of an overdefense) and change tidal so it lets through paralyze and purge. No class can evade paralyze and purge for such a massive amount of time and neither should sins be able to. It's massively unfair.
Those 2 changes alone would balance the sin class and everything would be well and good. Skilled sins will still win but would actually require some skill now. Noobs will have a hard time but tell my kaly...why hand easy victories to one class? Only one damn class? That makes no sense. No sense at all.0 -
another imbalance thing is G17R3 weapon, which is 4-6months or 1-2 bills. many ppl can be affordable .
db and sin will get huge benefit from it. basically in a few seconds, db and sin can purge ppl, then switch R9rr weapon.
Support classes (not DD) have some benefit from def proc but not as much as sin and db
other DD class will not have benefit from G17R3 weapon.
when next expansion, surely many pvp ppl especially sin/db will hold G17R3 purge weapon in new arena.
BTW, according pwcn ppl discussions, sin/db/cleric/veno is high preferred in new arena.Main Chars in tidewell:
Attacker_V: archer
Seraphim_V: Veno

ill stay this, archers have been ignored for far too long and now with the new crit dmg passive which has literally turned them into a target with a bullseye on their front and back sides. their officially useless except in pve. Archers need a major dmg boost here.
least give our class a self buff that is the same as the sins wolf emblem which increases rage dmg. plus make a primal version of our bow mastery of like 100% weap dmg +400% of phys atk or something along those lines with different skills made only for the archer and no other class. I also suggest that if the paralyze affect is going to stick around, make the archers aim low primal with paralyze for 5secs+stun for 3secs with 100% accuracy.
And i mean make this able to penetrate through a sins tidal. the original aim low is just too useless now less you use it on a bm, barb or seek, with the casters its useless cause of the PS and when we get hit by a zerk crit, its always like 10-90k dmg more than what our hp has. ive literally been killed by a 100k+ crit from a seek and cleric and clerics arent nearly as op as a seek is. Plus an archer friend i know, she's r9 +12 weap and ended up hitting a bm for 215 how is that balanced when we cant even hit decently much less well enough to kill enemy players.0 -
Can someone post here from each server which class won the Thursday night PK event0
