Can GMs be fired for spamming our mail with useless items, Like these very stupid fireworks?

I have never been more sick of being sent useless free **** in all my gaming life, PLEASE fire the person or persons who thought this mail spam was a good idea, try hiring a few real games that care about the game and no some child who likes to see pretty things.
And yes, I do know this is over now but this needs to never happen again, I mean give a code and let players choose the items they wish to bother with or give something useful that can be used to improve our gaming experience.

I thought the fireworks were okay, they just needed to do something like send 1 mail per week instead of daily.0

If this is a serious question, the serious answer is "No, probably not, because they probably were directed to turn the event on from someone higher up."
If this is an exaggerated display of disapproval then... *Grabs her pitchfork*
In all seriousness the fireworks were kind of fun but I agree that was a LOT of mail. Plus I left the PWI window up in the background of my call while playing a FPS and someone let loose 20 fireworks on full volume and I nearly pooped my pants.

GM's aren't actually spamming your mailbox, it's just the generic mailing thing for when items get sent out during events. I think (?) the reasoning for fireworks was because it was 4th of July and whatnot and it was just cycling though a bunch of them daily. (At least that's my assumption, I actually don't know or didn't remember if they gave a reason!) Haha, you can always NPC them if you don't like them in your bag.
I had my heart broken a few time though with that mail icon when I thought I was getting something exciting or announcements in-game from my faction lol. Such deception XD⋆Have a question? Feel free to shoot me an ask!⋆0 -
lol the firework thing was a little overkill but its free npc it if you don't like it but fire someone ?
i mean wasn't it meant to last threw 4th and memorial day? kinda a american thing i could be wrong but isn't the american office in i don't know san francisco?
and some people like fireworks lmao.

I agree with OP. This was an incredibly pointless "reward" that was just irritating to constantly deal with. It actually incentivized me to log off quickly, before the one hour counter finished and I'd have another unwanted mail that needed tending to.0

You can delete the mail if you don't need it. Solves the problem of searching NPC around to npc the item 0 -
...You certainly wish it was possible. Well, I must say I was putting a blank face, knowing that I had to go for a spring cleanup a few times to get rid of all of the accumulated fireworks.
I NPCed them all as well. Yay for meager pocket change.
I must say it was still a good way to see what available space I still had in my character mailboxes.
I hope we will return to a more regular login event someday, with good prizes like before and no weird rules such as "stay one hour online at precise moments of the day".
Anyway, best container-clogging event ever. I certainly do not look forward to live that ever again. *lame grin*
P.S.: Dear GMs, if you really want people to use fireworks like crazy, just enable that fireworks merchant NPC! I know there is one. I also know there is a casino-related NPC somewhere.

It was like all my chars had an extra daily for that month, but instead of spending time gaining stats/useful items, I was deleting worthless mail. Seriously, PLEASE never do that firework event agian.full +12 SB, currently lv 105 105 1050

yeah yeah, Prinda on 1 of his rants again, yeah yeah
But really.. I have been trying to mail players things and can't due to this mess.
And as for GMs not getting blame, then relabel the mail.
I know, I know, GMs always get the blame, but until PWI/PWE/ARC puts names to every project..IT IS THE GMs FAULT!!!
If this type of event mailout is going to happen, the powers that be, need to update the mail system, somthing like the new Google standard would be nice.
A tab for the different types of mail we receive, 1 from players, 1 from "GMs" and 1 for Sales/AH/Biddinghall0 -
poor gms.... they get blamed by every half wit who think gms create/edit/mod/run the game.0

now now, firing a gm for coming up with a horrible idea of giving trash mail everyday is too much... just, dont take no more ideas from that person and problem solved0
-
I mean its not like they accidentally sent out some really OP item to everyone for free without getting in cleared by higher channels XD I think that obitole is right, they just won't take that idea coming up in the future.⋆Have a question? Feel free to shoot me an ask!⋆0

wow, I was not aware I had any wit at all, YAY ME! Unless you were directing that at someone else, in that case I'll go back to my corner.0 -

It wouldn't let me delete the mail without receiving the fireworks. Would have been better if it allowed but it didn't. Was npcing garbage daily.
@orinj don't do this event again. It sucks so freaking bad. Please bring back log in rewards which are nice like card packs, exp items, hypers, whatever. Would really love some dreamchaser packs too. We haven't had them in what feels like years.

instead of giving useless items like those fireworks, why dont you guys gives us the legendary, old and forgotten event "attack on archosaur"0
-
You're not seeing the big picture. This constant email spam was to get you to - again - expand your inventory using gold/zen.
It's all a carefully thought-out ploy!0 -

Ahhh common... those fireworks were one of the best event ever!!!!
Especially when some trolls save them and then use all on highly populated area.
2 or 3 people spamming those fireworks plus storm and cleric flashy AOE near the NW NPC, That's what I call a "Lag Paradise"0
