give em a break!

look guys, I know PWI went through a tough time with lack of support and such, but now we have lots of support on the forums. We have @thenamesdomino and @sylenthunder. I know i dont post much in to forums but i read them at least 2 times a day, every day. Sorry im going to pick on thenamesdomino here a little, but seeing someone high up getting to the bottem of issues is really cool like here and its really nice to see PWI employers engaging in the community as seen here. Just want to say a big open thank you to PWE for showing PWI some love

maybe you guys could give them a break too

Wait sylenthunder is someone high up according to you?...hes a community volunteer, hes not pwe staff..
all that post shows is how the players know the server and its problems(including back end issues) 100x better than the actual staff

I was talking about thenamesdomino, you should re-read my post  and did you read that whole post??? what im refering to is how thenamesdomino is really helping the community and I dont belive the players know the back end issues more then PWI staff and thinking that is kinda arrogant, but the players do know more of whats wrong frunt end... and I belive thats why thenamesdomino has been put here I belive...

PWE is starting to show some love to the game and your just throwing back at there face... its kinda ungrateful :/

if you were talking about him you linked to a thread where he didnt reply or do...anything (except corrosive cold text error pwe staff did fix that.. AFTER HOW LONG?)

    >I dont belive the players know the back end issues more then PWI staff and thinking that is kinda arrogant,
its been proven time and time again, heck right now domino has a sticky with incorrect information, since they have no idea how to parse info from files yet many players do

so knowing how to parse info = knowing back end issues

    #GG

all im saying is credit where credit is due, PWE finaly give us someone in support that is really trying to put an effort it and you still QQ

I mean, in no particular order:

PWI asks for cross server --> PWE give it --> players QQ
PWI asks for timezone changes --> PWE give it --> players QQ
PWI asks for less coin and more coin sinks --> PWE give it --> players QQ

then PWI asks for new timezone suggestions to find out what cross server time would suit the playerbase --> players QQ about the time but hardly anyone suggests a time

Im not saying that PWE is always making amazing decisions or has the best customer support ever.....

im just thanking them that we now have way more then we used to, i mean we went months and months without almost any support and now we finaly get support, real people putting a real effort into the community, you wont even thank them? a little?

its like when a kid gets a toy for christmas and it isnt what he wanted even though its all his mum could afford, instead of thanking him he throws a little tantrum and gets all upset about how its not fair

you know what the kid should have done?

    theres a word for it....

    it's called being grateful....

    try it someday

    Sorry... I have to agree.

It's not like getting a toy for Christmas that you don't want at all, its more like going to a restaurant and ordering some fries and they bring out the ketchup, vinegar, salt and pepper and a glass of water and when you ask where your meal is they say "What do you mean, son, its right in front of you!"

Just like PWE continues to run events and hand out prizes but refuse to solve actual issues that players have been asking about for months, and in some cases almost a year.

Domino is the Ketchup. Hes tangy and tasty and bright and really livens up some soggy french fries, but it's pretty hard to enjoy by itself.

I'd at least appreciate a spoon so I could slurp my condiments with a sense of dignity.

We all know domino will disappear just like every other CM we've had. Then we'll go on for months with no CM. PWE overwork their staff members and considering the history of PWE, I don't see domino sticking around for more than a few months. mouse-18.gif I appreciate him while he's around.

I agree with "give them a break".

I appreciate that we get announcements and things are getting addressed. I know there are many things to be fixed, but I'll wait. I don't expect them to happen overnight. Some things might take a longer time than others. Also some things might be impossible to happen. I'll take that in consideration too.

I like that we have a CM and I'm grateful to see that he cares. If I understood correctly some issues might need a lot of time to get solved, communication with the Chinese department, talk with devs, e.t.c. If I understood correctly. I'm not saying that everything is perfect. I'm saying that I see effort, communication and I'm grateful!

If domino stays or leaves, it's up to him and what he wants. I want everyone to get along in all honesty. I like to have a CM, I feel that I can communicate my problems easier, plus he's a fun person so I'd like him to stay. :)

I'm as happy as I could be paying for a plate of fries and getting a bottle of ketchup monkey-39.gif Should I thank the waiter for thinking of me and enjoy my ketchup? Or should I leave the restaurant and find another place that actually serves up what they promise?

As I said I appreciate Domino I have nothing against him; I'm not gonna punch the waiter cuz the kitchen wont cook my food...

Without him I'd still be wasting my time holding out for something I'd never get. monkey-2.gif

    *shakes head* Enjoy your ketchup.

with as much "know better than pwe how it works" as our glorious forum community has, i find it hard that they also can't understand the chain of command and who dictates what in terms of fixes on specific things.

Eirghan's example was pretty spot on, we are all happy to see domino attempt to help us out. but you cant complain about the events and sales instead of the fixes when if we got the fixes but not the events we would be complaining the game is boring. it would be nice to have BOTH things but pwe is only able to dictate us getting one and not the other.

i like to give credit where its due, when they **** up i give them **** and when they do a good job i like to give them credit.

hopefully the good work continues and the effort put in by @thenamesdomino to get the other issues addressed is fruitful. we all know the hurdles he will have to jump through in order to get those things addressed and he has the same chance of getting it done as the previous CMs (maybe a bit higher since the company went private again, i notice a bit better collaboration with china lately).
