Time to stop hiding the names in NW! [Easy to do suggestion]

NW was always meant to be cross server but when it was first released here we only had intra server NW. This often meant you would be pitted against your fellow guild mates so to remove some of the anxiety about this they chose to hide names.

Now that we have true cross server NW hiding names is no longer needed! It will be a lot more fun to see the names of people on other servers and to coordinate with your squad better by calling out actual target names instead of just a class and what color clothes they are wearing.

I compared our client with the PWCN client and fixing this issue looks like it's trivial.

The setting is "ShowNameInCountryWar" in the text file uiconfig.ini inside configs.pck

Please turn this setting on for us!

I agree. I always thought hiding the names was a bit silly anyway since there's plenty of ways to see who people are.

Yeah, it would be really useful to turn names on. It's hard to just call "Get that Cleric!" when there are 4 Clerics in the map.

Even worse for those that have to use simple models, can't even tell based on their fashion!

@thenamesdomino Any chance this can be considered? It is a one line change in a text file and does not require help from the Chinese developers. I think it would greatly improve the cross-server Nation War experience.
