so every gold gives you 100 points=1 dollar Point value: 88,888=1 s card thats from a s card set one card not the whole set?

can we pleas get some one that plays the game to do promotions pleas.

i want to use some swear words right now i have never been so mad or frustrated what is going on with your promotions department?

aniversarys are a time of celebrating and giveing as a company not trying to f your loyal fan base son $%%^^&& i mean realyy %%^&&** ahhhhhhh and yes i put false curse words on purpose you can fill in the blanks use your owen imagination grrrr i am digusted i have spend over 5000 dollars on this game and never have i seen such a blaiten money grubing atempt you want my money make it worth it full s card set and wings of essention and a dang crown madness for freaking Point value: 88,888 my god

I agree its pretty bad. This could of been a perfect chance to introduce S+ into the game or something that would at least make the price of them reasonable. $888 for one S card is pretty freaking crazy. Half of that is how much it would very roughly cost to buy 100 B-S packs (Including buying Coins) which I would "assume" would give much better rewards. Regardless it is pretty insane. If it was $80 I guess that would be acceptable.

Lets not even mention the crazy price of event gold in this thread.....

Its disgusting how they are running these so called "promotions" now days, ESPECIALLY on a celebration.

This entire anniversary seems quite extreme and very price oriented. I wonder why the sudden push for us to spend SO MUCH CASH. Makes you wonder what is really going on here.

Getting a guaranteed specific S card is pretty valuable. You could do this promotion 4 times and be able to rebirth the S card twice for example. There aren't that many RB2 S cards on the server. If the S card is needed to complete a 4 card S set it is easily worth a couple billion.

Also these things are free bonuses in addition to the zen you get to spend. If you don't want to buy zen don't charge.

You're not spending the gold on a DoD. You get the DoD in addition to getting the gold. If you spend the gold on packs you can get another free DoD for opening 500 packs (which works out to one free DoD every 43 dollars). This is in addition to normal pack rewards.

People so ungrateful for free things they add as a bonus so silly.

Well I really dont want to sound fatalist here but it almost looks like they are trying to kill the game as fast as they can while milking as much $$$$ as posible.

That event gold promo already crashed the market. Now there is no gold for sale on the server since everyone is spending it to get huge ammounts of event gold. While this may look good for cashopers on a short term... It is actually the official dead of this game. There are already people inflating gold again on my server as usual.

The fun part of this is that the ones speculating about the market on my server are some of the most rich people on game, and at same time, the same people that was always complaining about the lack of players to pvp with.

I wonder what will they do when all the people that they ~~enjoy so much to one shot~~ aghhh i mean to pvp against

rage quit after the hyper inflation that they along with PWE/Arc brought to all the servers

It's pretty on point actually.
Considering when the raffles are done, they please the top spenders and occasionally there are more than just 5 top spenders that reach the maximum charge of 400 Gold per 48 hours. Also why it runs with a 3 day cycle, so you can charge the extra 400 that last day, maxing out at 800 gold.

Although this charge promo isn't that valuable, because the 3 cards are not part of one set, and on top of that, it just those 3 cards... if it was Nuema portal, or something more game breaking, then this might be calling for more outrage.

S cards are meant to be rare, end game isn't meant to be achieved without hard work.
Some may consider cashing as the easy way out, but let's be real, those that spent that money worked hard to earn it.

Some farm the game, others farm real life.

I find it hard to judge if its worth it or not. I mean when u spend 888 bucks on a game where ur already pretty much maxed out on gear, u clearly have a different opinion on whats ''worth it'' and what isnt than me.

I dont think that was the case so please stop acting like that.
I wish PW would stop giving players free stuff. No more free War Avatar Cards and such.
Also I believe that is stupidity to put really money in a virtual reality and then complain cause what you expected wasnt the same as you got.
PW isnt forcing you to take part in this promotion.

How are you getting free DoD from 500 packs when the item keeps disappearing? IIRC the npc doesn't exist. I should have had free DoD but they disappear randomly.

I hear that since 2009, at one time I even believed it but we have 2015 now and its still here and wont die anytime soon. Of course they going to maximize their cashflow, this has nothing to do with abandoning the game.

This S card charge reward is like pishing for "whales" IM sure some people will charge that much and even more to get one or more S cards this way and as "soon" S+ arrive they will happily do it again. Pwi is here for all players from the absolute f2p player to the cs maniac. And while the later faction is rather small they still contribute significantly to the longevity to this game and IM glad they aren't forgotten or neglected by pwi

i understand wanting to keep S cards rare and every company needs to make money, but the anii is just that, the 1 event a year that everyone can enjoy, the big spender, the littles guys, the OP gear and everything else. i was actually looking forward to get the anni mounts for my alts or something so alittle disapointing, yes you don not have to spend to join in but it just is alittle sad. i remember when you just had to stay loged in in 2009 - 2010 and your rewards you be mailed to you, the mounts and fash and whatever else.

This is a good point. They always pushed the anniversary as something the entire player base could enjoy. Now it seems they are catering as much as possible to big spenders and pushing for them to spend even more and this is a concerning change. I almost wanna say I agree with @eeepsilon here, this sounds like a big push for cash before they close shop. Very suspicious to say the least and a very sad notion that they are putting more care to CSing then they are the game itself.

2015 has been a bad year for PWI. Playing favorites with the cash shoppers is the only way to get the ones that left to come back, and to keep the ones they have so that they can get as much money as they can.
Everything that PWE has done this year to this game, indicates that they are on their way out. (mass layoffs, server merges, this anniv., events not goign correctly and not giving a ****, etc...)
They are getting what they can from the players, then going to run like rats from a sinking ship.

i never complained about spending 5000 what i complain about is i sure as hell wouldnt spend it now on this.

Free ? no i mean its more of hey you have to buy garbage in order to get things you really want or need its not free its more like inticing you to spend money to actualy get what you want in no way shape or form is that free.

Pwi has alway been a game where you had to spend thousands of dollars in the game to get end game. I never understood why people play if you can't cash shop in it. The time and effort you put gives you very little rewards. I knew this game has been this way for years. It would be better to pick up a second job then to farm for 8 hours in this game lol.

I doubt that this is a sign of turning PWI down to sleep.
Server Merge might be a sign for it but i really doubt that PWI will close its doors until PWI doesnt generate as much money that they cant even pay the servers anymore.

I think they defenitely dont generate the money they might did 2-3 years ago but they still get decent money.
Server Merge will save them money too so i dont see any danger in that. PWI will stick around another few years thats for sure.

on topic:
I cant imagine that someone would spend this much money to get a card from this series. if they would hand out nuema portal cards or ANY S card then yea people would charge but only picking from 3 cards will not go as planned for PWI i guess.
Make it "pick ANY S Card" and the money will just flow into your account PWI i guarantee it Kappa

It's called marketing. It's actually designed to make the business money and it really seems to be working.

It seems this anniversary they are catering to two different player demographics. Part to the F2P player, and part to the Cash Shopper, which you also must realize, the cash shopper HAS to cash shop (and in some cases like the free S card spend a lot to get it) to take advantage of the more extreme free items.

There are also the lower to mid level cashers that can take advantage of some mid tier items in the spend rewards, but the anniversary reminds me of being in a casino.

The average slot player - a few perks. Free drinks, discount dinner at the buffet.

The mid level card player - free dinner at one of the mid level restaurants, free drawing chance at some items, free tickets to a show, discount or comped regular room in the hotel, and various spend rewards

The whale - comped top level room, VIP treatment, private card room, personal staff, limo pick up, free private jet usage from home and back, free dinner/drinks regardless of cost to the casino.

The way I see it, the whales in PWI should get a LOT more perks (which still can cost a ton of real money to get) than the completely free to play player, but the F2P player should still get some nice things too.

Yeah.... F2p still getting lots of nice stuff. The quest event that is happening for example youre getting free tele stones, bloods, temp fashion, sutras, makeover scrolls, pigments, rep and experience. Smoke over arch gives event gold, charms, cards, fashion, coins, chi stones, hypers, meridian pills, experience, flyers, etc. Considering they gave out free tradeable mounts just a few weeks ago id say this is quite nice for f2p.

If you really want a mount pm me i have a handful waiting for loving owners.
