I mean, gg really?

I'm sure not everyone's ARC won't load due to "login timeout" and the various other problems I've seen people reporting with ARC, but you have to wonder at the levels of competence when they start breaking the stuff that people use to charge zen.
I found a way around it, but I'm not telling, let them whistle for their $s

Please don't tell me this belongs in tech support, I'm not here reporting a problem or asking for help, I'm passing comment

    im also having a bad problem with arc considering it locked me out completely since it says im missing a file in the DLL (dynamic link library). the file/thump that is missing is kernel 32. this happened when i got the update thursday. So now im stuck without playing pwi till its fixed and to top it all off, i ended up missing resource wars and nw so far. i'll probably end up missing sunday nights nw cause of this stupidity.

    PW, you better get your butts and tails off your soft cushions and fix your stupid program that has caused so many problems since it first came on.

    PS: id like to get back onto pw again so i can still enjoy it and have some fun.

    could prolly play pwi without arc like half your server does

    Now, this wont help if your client isnt up to date but assuming it is:

    1. Locate your Elementclient.exe file in your PWI folder.
    2. Create a shortcut out of it, preferably into your desktop for quick access.
    3. Right click the shortcut, pick options.
    4. You see 6 tabs, pick shortcut and you should see line called target
    5. Write the following for target: "X" startbypatcher console:1
    Where X is your path to elementclient.exe. For me it reads the following: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Perfect World Entertainment\PWI_en\element\elementclient.exe" startbypatcher console:1

    But obviously, if you have different path, you need different line for it to work. Basically what you want to do is add "" around what the target is currently and after it simply write startbypatcher console:1

    Different operating systems have slightly different command lines for this but we`ll look for them if this one doesnt work.

    Now why would this help you? It will bypass arc completely, you`ll bee free from the clutches of broken arc! Well outside of redeeming codes and updating the game as I dont think they do manual patches any more.

    Ps. I know there is a proper guide for this on these forums somewhere but I couldnt find it on quick look. I cant really provide screenshots as my windows isnt in English.

    It's that sticky in tech support. The recent one that has caps at the start and asks people to read it before posting.

    For some reason, not many actually read it before posting in that section though...

    Deadalus isn't on Arc. It's not a title published by PWE.

    Without Arc, you're not going to be able to redeem any codes for the majority of PWE titles.

    People can use the site to charge ZEN so that's nothing new. In fact, all the Arc browser does when you charge on it is open the website's charging page.

    Codes, on the other hand, are a thing that can't be entered without Arc.
