Citrine VS Garnet

Hello veno friends!

My g16 set is almost complete, so I have to think how to shard it. I was thinking to use citrines, but my friends suggested to use only garnets and balance my physical defense. It makes sense in my opinion, but none of them is a veno expert so I'm asking to you. Do you think I could get enough hp using only garnets, with cards, nuemas and Primal passives?

I would use Incomparable gems, and as refinig I won't go over +7. I'm strictly pve, with the single exeption of Nation War.

    Calc with maxed nuema, A cards, primal passives, meridians, incomparable garnets and +7 refines

    Play around with that.

    Im exactly half half of each on my g16 venomancer... 3 pieces with garnets and 3 pieces with citrines. If I had lunar rings and maybe higher refine on my warsong belt too, I would probably have went 2 pieces garnet and 4 pieces citrine like on my main venomancer.

    Anyway, the build posted by Mayfly is pretty. I think I'll go with 2 pieces with citrines and the rest with garnets, so I'll have more hp and good phys res.

    I think, pdef that you can get from nv3, orns and primal passives is more than enough for pve. I'd go full citrines.

    My G16 AA Nirvana set had 4 pieces with Garnets and 2 pieces (hat/cape) with Citrines and it was +7 while I was using it on my Venomancer. It worked well enough for me. This was pre-New Horizons though.

    Either way is fine I think, depends on what you feel you lack on your character. For the things you'll be using the gear for, you shouldn't have any major problems. I would probably try to have at least 10k physical defence* unbuffed, human form just so you'll be comfortable with most PvE activities.



    *This includes passives/nuemas/cards etc.

    Just 2 venos, a demon (g16) and sage (r999).
    I created the veno that's now demon because of boredom, having all other classes already at Lv100+
    But after new horizons expansion there was suddenly too much to do. I still like my little demon though.

    I am demon veno main with g16 +7 and a vit build so my base vit is 85 but total is 152vit. I use all incompable garnet because i feel that simply more hp doesnt cut it. most AA veno go pure magic not vit build tho so again garnet super hepful imo :D
