Trouble with faction logo

I'm wondering if someone can help me with my faulty faction logo. Its required to be in 16 x 16 and 24bits and also in BMP format. I have tried many times to make it a transparent background but it says that 24bits and BMP does not support transparency. Some help to resolve my problem will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

    You need 32bit BMP to add transparency.
