Im really fustrated at what PW ECLIPS has become nothing but a money maker for who ever cuz it doent go to the players with no money to spend out of thier pockets like some cash shoppers PW used to be very fun to play 5 yrs ago where u can actually make money either grinding and questing or Farmimg now PW has changed the prices on drops so you cant make any coins to help yourself and this **** reborn its just nothing more for you to spend more money and OMG its so confusing and doesnt explain anything in game about what your sopposed to do i am very disappointed that now everyone has R9s and NV3 hell even WarSoul Weapons are commin now really PW you went from a great classy game to nothing but an UNFUN social meeting place for everyone to spend thier real money i am totaly disappointed in the over all quailty b:surrender

I still personally have fun with the game and specially since the eclipse update the game has been better (less inflation, things more accessible to real farmers). What I think you meant is that now you can't make a big profit botting anymore? Because if you are a real farmer and not a botter there is still the same old stuff you can do (TT, FWS, etc).

Another thing is... You say you're disappointed with all the R9s and T3s because I am assuming you are not one of them and if in 5 years you were not able to even get at least T3 then sorry, but I have bad news for you... ijs.

Is R9 and T3 powerful? Sure, but I farmed (yes, actually ran instances instead of just botting 24/7) my r9 in about 8 months (other people farmed it with their real life "farming" and obviously also deserve it), it's fair that it IS powerful.


Now if you talk about how PWI has been managed then I would have to agree since 5 years ago this game was ran really well in terms of the GM team and support but now it's pretty much just left to the wind until it dies.

Lastly, about reawakening, there are several guides, there's nothing confusing about it:
Get to 100+ > Reborn > back to lvl 1 with extra stat points and all skills/cultis that you had > when you have enough stats(str/dex/mag) you can equip your gear since your highest lvl is over 100 > get 100 again > rb2 > repeat the process.

In primal:
Go to primal > do the chainquest > level your sky level from dailies > unlock primal skills/passives from lvling your sky lvl > visit the primal forge to see what books you can make and if they are worth it > done.

Holy run on sentence!! And as the above poster stated, what have you done for 5 years if you don't have T3 or R9 in that time frame?

Personally I enjoy the RB process. It makes your character stronger, opens up new quests, and nice skills. The avatar system albeit slow to get card sets, is a nice addition as well.

Remember too, it takes work and some know-how to farm end game gear, but it can be done. And don't blame PWI that you have no money to spend in game. While the free to play player is an important part of the game, as they add numbers to the number of players, free to play doesn't mean equality if you aren't willing to put a lot of elbow grease into getting to endgame. Cash shoppers are what pays PWI's bills, not the 100% free to play on the coat tails of those willing to spend money.

Lastly, Eclipse added two very fun new classes, so I can't complain there.

The rank 9 gear doesn't come wrapped in a bow after 5 year time frame is up. Despite all of the sob stories about how everyone who has Rank 9 got it though farming, (literately EVERYONE got it that way and no one paid real money.) The truth is In the real world, you wont get that gear unless you Pay real money for it no matter what these users may tell you And regardless of how many Years you've been here.

G16 (T3) gear is farmable, even for the casual player these days. Get yourself to G15 gear and then just do a few FWS runs - 6 per armor piece, 12 for the weapon. Blammo, G16, just takes a bit to get it done.

Alternate way is to just run a bunch of Jolly Jones quests, farm yourself some 60 million, and just buy a G16 weapon.


As for R9, you got a couple of ways to do it:
- Farm your rear off in TT/WS/BH's/Jollies. You'll likely need to spend more then 8 hrs a day for several months straight to buy enough gold to be able to purchase the MoGs and GSTs, not to mention run Morai and FSP daily to get your rep up. This will allow you to get to unrefined base R9 without spending much, if anything.
- If you don't have the time for this (due to holding a dayjob for instance) you can buy your way in instead. It costs 671,5 gold to buy enough MoGs and GSTs for full basic R9... Not sure about the cost for reputation, but I'm assuming that's another 200 gold.

Personally, I went the farm route... it's now 9 months after I made the decision to go R9 on my BM. I'm 60k rep and 13 GST's short of going full basic R9 on armor. I've also prepped badges, EODs and am already working on Summerwind tokens, to go R9.3 (+6 or more) once I farm all my rep. I also have a small catshop running, which brings in a few mils a week. So yes, it IS possible to farm it, but it will take you almost a year to do it.
If you want to buy your way in, it'll probably take roughly $800 or so - so it's more efficient to mow a few lawns/stack a few shelves and use the cash to buy Zen, in terms of time efficiency. But you don't need to.

A PvP server is going to be "Pay to Play" by it's very nature. You'll either pay by spending money, or by spending a lot of time farming your gear, or doing some serious merchanting to get money for said gear.

The power creep in games just takes that base factor and multiplies it, and the power creep here is bloody insane.

It comes down to step up, or get out. I got out of Lost City several years ago and moved to a PvE server.

It's not PWE turning it to ****. It's the power creep, the greed of the players, and the nature of a PvP server.

I don't understand what it has to do with Lost city as situation (dq, gear, etc) is same on all servers.
PK doesn't seem to be a problem since you can even afk out of sz on LC and stay safe, it's not like all spots are occupied by r9r csers who hunt you down 24/7
Your frustration about r9r is understandable, but about nv3 isn't, nv3 makes pve easier, and it's easy and cheap to get. You can live a happy life in nv3, it's fine for everything (pve).

Their life is not that hard as it may seem considering they are on pvp server b:chuckle We just don't have enough ppl to fill in all quest spots to monitor and hunt pve players Even bots on popular botting spots could farm safely whole day/night before dq nerf till weap is broken, and were PKed just occasionally.

It probably should be noted that this isnt hard and fast. I play on the same PVE server Sylen does and there are many, many csers and a big pay to play attitude there as well.

Its all about your own attitude and what you want to do, not the people around you.

I don't think this expansion really worked out the way PWE or Wanmei wanted it too. PWE should have waited until they could release the entire expansion, but cut off a lot of the content instead. We are missing quite a bit, and even when we do get the full expansion, it will be called a "content update", so we won't get the next set of "real" content until winter 2015.

Furthermore, the lack of end-game stuff to do for existing players that don't want to re-roll new toons is pretty low. I mean, even the title chain still is inactive and not in this expansion (it will come in the content update). There just wasn't much added in my opinion. The new classes and areas are cool for a short period of time. As soon as you get to the old areas on the new characters, you wonder why you are doing this all over again.

Perhaps this is just me, but I am highly disappointed with this expansion and PWE. I expected better, but knew what was coming. PWE also has dropped the ball lately with a lot of issues on their end.

It's not the truth that you must pay real money for r9. Some people farm, some people pay. Just because you didn't or can't, doesnt mean noone else did. No, its not easy, but it is very possible and many have done it.
Which also comes back to what you first said - no, r9 does not come gift wrapped after 5 years, but in a 5-year timespan, with some know-how, you could easily have farmed free r9 on more than 1 character. You could even casually farm the money for r9 over 5 years for 1 character, let alone how much t3 Nirvana you could have.

If you want it now, then yes, you must pay.
If you don't mind waiting and working for it, then yes, you can have it free.

The real world varies for everyone. In your world, farming, merching and time may not be an option, but its a very real one for others.

You're a r9r OP farmer and you hunt innocents on their quests post, fact.
