    I can't give out event gold at the moment. I've been asked to slow down on the giveaways of certain items, so that's why you don't see them as much.

    That, and that event was changed on me last minute because it was not properly tested before having me make the entire event. Essentially, I was told to make it, and right as it was about to go live they told me what they had planned didn't even work.

    It's quite unfortunate that your company is the way it is. It shouldn't be run the way that it has and will continue to be run. Management is failing the majority of the companies products (the games), and they are staffing you guys extremely poorly. A company cannot continue to do this and remain profitable. Understand that sweeping some of the major issues (like DQ rewards program) under the rug will only work for so long. But, I get it. I've sent tickets many, many times over this and many issues in the past, and I get the usual either auto-reply from a copy/paste or someone who completely ignored the content of the ticket and went around stating something completely different.

    You guys are told to do what you do. That means ignoring issues brought by the players, and making unwise decisions on the longevity of the game(s) you publish. Eatwithspoons would be rolling in his grave, had he of seen some of the unethical and outright blatant grabs at cash from the company. Furthermore, it's often not even up to this NA branch of PW, but more-so to the parent Chinese corporation.

    That's why most staff at PWE have used the company as a stepping stone into bigger and better game development gigs here in NA. There are a fair amount of game publishers and devs here in NA that *probably* treat employees fairly with reasonable wages and not always being understaffed.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm gracious for what sparkie and what remains of PWE's overworked staff have done for us. It's just unfortunate that it's a battle of ethics VS should I continue to follow protocol of what my superior states. When money is being put on the table for food and living expenses, many have no option but to do what is needed. I could totally throw the whole "capitalism < socialism" thing in here, but that's a socioeconomic argument for another day.

    What about "lesser" codes like dreamchaser and profundity scrolls? If there are at least 4 items that are not on the "restricted" list, it should still be possible to continue with the weekly codes by cycling throufh the "lesser" codes every month. Then once in a while, throw in something from the "restricted" list. Just a suggestion here. :)

    On the other hand, if weekly codes are simply off the tables for now, then maybe put a sticky saying that it's currently on hold. Communication goes a long ways. Its good for both you (so you don't get blamed for things unfairly) and good for the customers (so we know what's going on). Even now, all we know is that event gold is on hold, but we don't know if weekly codes itself has ended.

    As bad as I feel for you having to be the middle man...I am still enraged at much of the things I have seen..or for that matter haven't seen on the forums lately. DQ thread being completely ignored. We haven't gotten a fix for many problems with the servers/game we need like TW time fixes...and TW rewards still haven't gone out from last TW season that I know of. What's going on?

    yeah i algree with you guys but if sparky says his hands are tied then thats just how it is i big enough to admit when im wrong espechialy if he says it to are face he even mention understanding are frustration that being said im good with the explanation.

    if they got rid of repair bill i wouldnt even care about all the stuff they took out or if they stop free codes altogether just saying

    I think the real issue is not what you can and can't do internally, its the lack of communication, vague and sometimes odd threads that are completely opposite of what actually is planned or changed, and obvious lack of solid policies and procedures with your cs staff(if even half the threads on cs dealings is true) including your forum mods. It is real easy as a online company to get by with this because you don't have to look your customers in the eye and can just dismiss them because you have a horde of players that can make for the lost revenue. Eventually the company will fail.

    There use to be this little thing that meant everything to a business. It was called the rock. There was only two rules. First rule is, "The customer is always right", the second "If in doubt reread rule number 1".

    Employers and companies always knew that it was not always possible to stick with those two simple rules, but they tried to make sure every customer was always happy in the end even it was a loss. They knew they would make up the loss later down the road because that customer has happy and would come back again.

    Happy customers will give you repeat customers, which increase revenue, which in turn means being able to hire more employees and grow.

    I really have no idea what you can or can't do in the company, but something has to change. Because how you all are doing now is not working.

    This tells everything about PW employees. They dont even know what they are doing.

    I would really like an event code aswell but I understand sparkie's situation. The community likes you sparky and it's a shame that you are not allowed to be "nice" to us. Everything you try to do to give a little bit of spice to the game (codes, events, etc) goes down the drain due to your higher ups.

    At the end of the day you have to put the food on the table for your family and of course yourself, so, you have to do your job and that unfortunately requires listening to your higher ups that probably have an IQ of 50 and all they think about all day is money.

    The impression I (and probably a lot of other people who read this) get from this is: "If u dun stop givin' away charms n event gowd sparkie they ain't buyin' these items on the boutique no moh, we needz money to make moh moneh, u understand sparkie?" - Sparkie's superiors (I think they talk like that, yeah).

    Problem: The people that run PWI don't want sparkie to give us certain codes so much.
    Solution: Don't give the players ANY codes.

    Problem: People want new DQ, a thread is set up with promises for a new DQ system and people are asked for input.
    Solution: The thread is larely ignored and has been over a year since we have had word of what's going to happen with it.

    Problem: TW rewards from last season haven't been given out.
    Solution: Promise they will be given out shortly after the holidays in a thread...it's been over a month and still no rewards.

    Seems to me thats 3 for 3. PWI notices a problem and either doesn't do anything or they make a thread and promises to do something then ignore it. This is the worst kind of customer service practice of any company I have ever seen in a long time. Even Walmart can't be as badly run as this game clearly is.

    b:sad yeah it sucks i even thought about going to the the pwe Asian forum and bringing it up there i bet if enough people made accounts to there forum it would eventually get back to some one that can make changes in the game.

    I get the impression the CN version the people that play it are content but we have debit cards enough of say hey fix it or no real life coin i bet they change there toon.

    problem is most of us are American and as such i am to lazy to make a pw cn account and go flooding there boards till we bend them to are will b:chuckle


    i was seriously debating learning Chinese so i can give them a good peace of my mind and rip em a new one again im lazy American lol got to go coffee done

    This isn't a thread about game mechanics. Its about event gold. Things like this are usually handled regionally. When Sparkie says he was asked to slow down on giving out event gold, he prob meant his bosses here in NA. I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

    This isn't a thread about game mechanics. Its about event gold. Things like this are usually handled regionally. When Sparkie says he was asked to slow down on giving out event gold, he prob meant his bosses here in NA. I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

    He was referring to all the different problems....we are still on topic if you actually read everything leading up to his post. This is about the lack of proper care for the game and us their clients.

    Just because a couple people went off topic doesn't mean the thread is not about event gold. So no you're not on-topic.

    Plus even if its about proper care for the clients, this would be a regional issue. If you bought a car from Toyota and got crappy customer service, do you complain to the regional office or to Japan? Which one makes more sense?

    Umm no, it would be Toyota US headquarters (assuming you're in the US). If they also give you the finger, I doubt you'll get a better response from Japan. But go ahead and waste your time if you wish.

The topic is about event gold sure....but responding to what sparkie said and complaining about said response is STILL staying within the perimeters of the thread.     Well I personally don't think they're doing that badly. My main concern is a lack of communication. And they prob need to increase their staff. But for the most part, I'm a pretty happy camper. Not to diminish bad experiences others have had, but I actually think PWE is one of the better NA game publishers out there based on my own personal experience thus far.

    Just take the time to read what others are saying more carefully before jumping on them in the future.
